A few interesting facts. The last Panzer IV tank knocked out in a conflict (used by the Syrians). Also Cubans fighting for Syria and losing almost 200 men.
The Arab armies were so weak (in general) that they considered it a sort of victory that they lasted longer than six days against Israel, which they did. But soon enough they would pay dearly.
The Israelis were lucky that President Anwar al-Sadat stubbornly stuck to the position that not a single Egyptian unit should move in the direction of the canal... That's why there were several very large and strong fighting groups, the Egyptian army, which were forbidden , to move in the direction of the Israeli attack, otherwise, if those strong formations had moved, Israel would have been wiped out... For all time...
Really? By this time Israelis had consolidated its defence & supply lines. The invading Egyptian Third Army was totally encircled. Israeli Navy patrolling to keep the supply lines on the Mediteranean sea suffered no loss because all the missile attacks were missed against them while Egyptian Navy lost 7 missile boats & 4 torpedo boats. Israeli would not be wiped out easily.
