I wanted to try this yarn for awhile. Found a bunch on clearance at Joanne's. I made my first blanket in 2 days. I am on blanket #2 and went back and bought more clearance for scarf making too. It's fun and works up quickly so I don't get bored. I finally found a craft I really enjoy!!!
It looks so pretty. Thank you. I bought three packs today so I am about to try my hands on it. I think you did great being your first time and all. I am encouraged.
Wonderful job, Cindy! It looks so soft and cozy! I'd love to see a tutorial on the basics of crocheting for absolute beginners with no experience. I always wanted to learn this craft but didn't know where to start. Have a great week, Maranda ♥
I have just started using this loop yarn and it is fun once you get going! Another way to end the scarf is when you finish the last row, start at the end away from the working yarn and loop each loop over the next one ending up at the end with your working yarn. Then you tie it off and weave it through. This is a quick and efficient way to finish off! Thanks for the great video...it was good to see I wasn't the only person who skipped a loop, no matter how hard I tried not to!
Thanks for sharing! Like you, i crochet... not a real knitter. Saw this yarn and thought I'd give it a try... I got mine for $2.39 at Joann's Crafts though. Lol
Thanks for sharing... very pretty, I also crochet. I love it. Knitting not so much. Might give it a try, it looks very warm. I liked and subscribed. Have a blessed day.
You are a girl from my heart .crocheting is also my passion .wanted to learn to knit ,took a class and did not have the passion I do for crocheting. To much tedious counting and all that stuff it just was not my forte just like you. I could crochet in front of the TV and have a nice scarf are a baby blanket almost halfway done by the time I'm ready for bed..thanks for this video
On Walmart online, they sell a 3 pack of this type of yarn, prices differ per color, usually $7 for a 3 pack to $12.50 for a 3 pack. Not bad prices! They are a bit over the 3.5 oz
Was curious about this. I will stick with my crochet hook. Seems You will need a flat work surface to work on as well. You can get this thick yarn for crochet hooks too. I have found most people are either a crocheter or a knitter. Sometimes there is someone who will do both.
I have made most of my projects sitting bed and working across my knees, so it can be done without a table. Granted it is easier to get the yarn to lay flat in the right places on a table. I've done both.
Does this yarn work for projects that you work in the round? I want to make a round "rug" for a baseball themed nursery. I bought white loop yarn and a chunky red traditional yarn for the baseball stitching.
Yes. Hats are made in the round. There is a loop yarn rug pattern on JoAnn Fabrics TH-cam at th-cam.com/video/ij7vWNbEod4/w-d-xo.html To make a rug I would expect that you should make chains and then sew them together as the rag rugs.
I think this yarn would make a great blanket. As for how many loops to start with that would depend on how big you want your blanket to be. Just start with Yarn the width of the blanket you would like.
I discovered the yarn in September and have gone berserk over it. I have made 5 projects in the matter of 3 months. That is how easy it is to use. My first project was a shawl with just the knit stitch. Then I wanted to get a bit fancier so I did a twisted loop blanket for an infant. And for my granddaughter for her birthday just 2 days before Christmas I got really fancy and made a scarf with two different colors of yarn. I also did purl stitches both horizontally and vertically. Made up the pattern as I went along. So much fun. Easy to use and therapeutic too. My next project will be pillow covers using the pattern www.joann.com/how-to-make-a-bernat-alize-blanket-ez-criss-cross-pillow/26913744P84.html as inspiration.
Daniel, would you put your loop yarn patterns up on youtube, please? I'm too new to yarn work to know how to do anything other than what is here. I'd LOVE to make a hooded scarf. I bet THAT would be easy for you to figure out. :-)
I know this is a late comment but I recently purchased about 8 of these to make a blanket. I'm facing a problem where two of the balls have the loops set much closer together than the others so when I try to work it into my blanket it ends up cinched at the end and harder to work with. It just ends up so tight on one side and it looks terrible aside from being difficult to work with. Have you come across this problem and if so how did you get around it?
I’m sorry I did not experience this problem. I wonder if they would let you exchange the two defective balls? You might be able to reach out to Red Heart customer service to see if they can help.
Hello, thank you for this boss, I made a scarf with this wool so I can say knit with my arms it's beautiful, how many grams did you take for this scarf thank you for answering me, I am from Quebec ... good day to you. google did the translation F.B Bonjour ,merci pour ce patron ,j’ai fait un foulard avec cette laine si je peux dire tricoter avec mes bras c'est beau ,, combien avez vous pris de grammes pour ce foulard merci de me répondre ,je suis du Québec ...bonne journée à vous .
Sorry I’m not a knitter so I’m not sure how you add yarn when you are knitting. I’m sure if you knit on a regular basis this yarn would be super easy to get the hang of. However, I was happy with the way my scarf turned out since it was my first time working with this yarn.
Isn't this her first time? I could be wrong BUT doesn't everything take practice? I would say for the first time AND to show everyone in a video......she did pretty good. I know of NO ONE who does a perfect job on the first try. Have a super great day 😊

It is very fun to work with. I’ve been thinking about doing a tutorial for a Baby Blanket in the criss-cross pattern.
I made two. I used the fur yarn…. Soooo soft. Thanks for the video.
Just bought 2 balls of this yarn. Thanks for sharing how to do it. Gonna set down with a cup of coffee and try to make the scarf.
Thank you and this is exactly what I wanted to learn! I am going to make this for my Mom for Christmas.
I’m sure she will love it!

@@HookedOnCrafts Thank you. I can do what you teached here and Thanks. Great Job!
There are lots of hat patterns on You Tube.

@Nicole Long.....I'm in the US. Just try Walmart online, I am sure they would be able to deliver in Ontario
How many rows did you do and how many skeins?
I caught it reduced on clearance for $1.00 a skein. Bought 20. Yeah!
What a great score!
@@HookedOnCrafts I love to catch deals. That's the only way I could afford this. I am with you on the cost being a little pricey.
I made a made a scarf to this was very helpful because i didnt know how to do it

I'm going to start a scarf for my husband with Bernat Alize EZ Wool. It is so soft and I hope I can get through this. Fingers crossed
You can do it! Just take your time so you don’t miss any loops.
@@HookedOnCrafts I did it and now have to review the end. Thank you! I love it🧶❤
Thats just what I need. Having trouble with first and second rows
Pro trick: watch movies at instaflixxer. Been using them for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.

I looked at it and was curious....no thanks some projects is not for everyone....😊
But it is so easy and so much fun. Give it a try.
Wrapping the red or white around a wire wreath makes a pretty wreath.
How do I do a start a circle ?
Can you do a blanket with this yarn??and how many loops to start out with???

Yes. I started one last night super easy
Help. My yarn is more fuzzy than yours. It is not turning out nice like yours. What should I do?
I would just keep going. I think a really fuzzy scarf would be very cozy!
I have same yarn
Oh really when did you buy it?
This video was made over a year ago I don’t recall the exact date I purchased the yarn. Sorry
Heyyy 🙋 u did a fantastic job 👍👍👍 I can't wait to gt sum! 😊🙂😄👋✌

What are the finished dimensions with 2 skeins?
My scarf is 6.5 inches wide and approximately 72 inches long.
I got it for 2.98 at Michaels
Where can I get it in Australia
It looks like red heart.com will ship to Australia.
Thanks for the video...but it would have been nice if you would have raise the scarf up
Thanks for the feedback I’ll be sure to do that next time.

What a great find!
No need to double loop to add either just add as if you are knitting...your bind off was crazy too you are making more work for yourself
