Although I haven't completed my scarf yet it is fun to make so far. I'm learning that if I use stitch markers after every 10 rows it helps to keep count on how many rows I've assembled. Also after completing a row I put a stitch marker in the 12th loop to know where I ended. Additionally, after counting out my 12 loops of working yarn I use another stitch marker. It goes together much faster this way, because I don't have to keep ripping rows out because of missed loops.

This is the best video I've seen using this yarn! I love how you zoomed in. Now, I can see EXACTLY what to do! Thank you so much! I have some of this so now I can get started, can't wait!

Count off 12 loops to start
Row 35 make a hole then 15 more rows
This will result in am uneven scarf ends. If you want it even I would recommend around 38-40 before making the hole.
Uses 1.5 balls of redheart loop yarn

I did the 35 then made the hole and 15 more and my scarf was not even. So thanks for the suggestion on 38-40

Working on my scarf right now you are the best instructor that I found on the Internet and I’m loving the scarf so far but I noticed that it’s turning in on the sides what can I do to stop that I keep weighing it down but doesn’t seem to work

Nikki, I love your tutorials. Very clear and easy to follow.
Would you do one on using the same yarn in a basket weave looking pattern? I've only found one but it wasn't english.

How do you make the scarf lay flat and not "roll" or curl under at the edges?

  • @joannesmith3919
    @joannesmith3919 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Does the tension in the stitches make it have the curl-effect?????
    Please answer 😊

What is the difference between Bernat Alize yarn and Alize Puffy yarn? I want the same color that you’re using in this video, but I can’t seem to find that color in Alize Puffy yarn

I tried making this scarf. The process is easy but I don’t think I have the loops going in the right direction. My first row looked like all the loops were tangled. Any suggestions? I am left handed if that helps lol. Ty.

Make sure that the loos aren’t twisted when you put them through the next loop. This will prevent odd spaces and holes. It’s also results in a neater scarf.
      Funny isn’t it.

How do you do only 15 rows after the hole and have a long enough scarf? And without joining another skein? Thank you

Nicki, so far your the easiest to follow and understand, have you made a baby blanket with this yarn? If so how many lops do you start out with and how skeins do you need for a baby blanket, thank you ahead of time.
