Your kindness in this situation is a huge deal.
Years ago my husband was in the hospital and I was juggling two little ones, a full time job and trying to keep an eye on him (he's fine now but it was touch and go for a while), I was so overwhelmed I mixed up the days my kids were in aftercare. I was a frantic mess when I got to the school and it was locked up, got home and they weren't there, called everyone I could think of but couldn't find them and was about to call the police when a fairly new neighbor came out and yelled to me that she had them with her and her husband. She had seen them on my porch waiting and realized it was odd so she took them to her house. They told her that I was at the hospital making sure Daddy was going to be ok. They watched over my kids for THREE hours, fed them, helped them do crafts, and kept them safe. The tears were pouring down in relief as I apologized and thanked them over and over. It's been 25 years and I will NEVER forget how thankful I was that someone I barely knew stepped in to help me.

I don't know that I've ever seen you do some power washing but the near-black area of the front wall caught my attention. Might be something where spraying it down with a 5/1 pool solution a couple times could change it a lot. Enjoying all the shrub trimming, in particular the pair trimmed to be in alignment with the slope and the streetside shrub that you used a ladder with, to make sure you got it all done. I guess the standard "clear the street side" is working, because the neatness is making the roadway area look better. Tend to like how good a Trimmer is for cleaning off stuff as moss off of paving. A nice move in getting the fallen limbs away from the house, changed how it looks. The design lines are getting refound. An interesting yard, with a lot of slope. Your Trimming skills seem well suited. Also noted that although it was overgrown, it was neat. You haven't been running into a lot of of lost storage or blown trash, etc.The Before and After photos were good. It shows the peace and order that prevailed when done and how the yard will be pleasant for all passers by and the neighborhood. A nice gift for the lady, her son.

Alex, you certainly did a masterful job on this neglected yard. You are very thoughtful and considerate to so many people in need. I know that the young son who was tirelessly itending to his Mom’s needs really appreciated your kindness. The yard looked wonderful once you finished. That being said, there is just one thing that I would have done (for me personally as a large land owner)…and that is to have pruned all of those Yucca plants that were growing in cluster spots in different areas on this lady’s property. Those things really needed to be totally cut off the barrier wall which was hanging there down near the street. I think this minor oversight would have given much needed closure to the job as a whole. Otherwise, this transformation was a lot of fun to watch! Keep on being a blessing to others while your cup overflows with blessings as well!

Let's get this straight, you own a lawn service, and while your crew takes care of your clients, you go out and find people to help for free and do the work yourself unless the job gets totally crazy and then you pay your crew to help you.
