Bofors which Japan didnt use much since the tech was beyond them had a kill rate of 1% - if it fired the 4 rounds against you so this is the best in ww2. Bad or not japan had worse 20mm which was ->dont hurt me daddy damage and 25 mm somewhat better -150 of those was placed on a aircraftcarrier
Hard to complain about the fligerfaust with the new plane load outs, almost a fair trade. But, it’s still annoying lol went 84-2 the other day with at least 6 different players actively only using anti air

I've been using the 20mm HE cannons and on Jima, most of the time they dont get past the 1st objective and I'll have like 53 kills and 5 deaths thanks to flak or pflueger. On the American side, it depends. If we make it to the final objective, it's just kills for days
After experiencing the new planes and seeing other players use them I think the Fliegerfaust should stay exactly how it is, it's impossible to push on Iwo Jima while being shredded by the new planes and pushing uphill. I've won 1 match so far as the Americans out of roughly 25 games. I'm a 3K/D 500SPM infantry player btw. I think it's completely fair, all of the times infantry has been instantly deleted from the map by these planes it's about time the pilots get to feel what it's like getting instantly destroyed with little to no time to react.

flares/cindies will have you top the board most games, can keep score streaks going for mins if you know what your doing. pick up 2-3k streaks up for fun, it stops when you run out of enemies heh
I think the Fliegerfaust is somewhat necessary, simply due to the fact that if you are a ground troop and zeros are taking you out a lot, you have to have some defense upon a flying aircraft. But I still agree they should be nerfed alittle

I’ve had whole squads wiped by these things. They’re why I’ve learned to get so good at using Flak guns. You have to shoot them down the second they start their bombing runs.
HE cannons and fliegerfausts seem to balance eachother out quite well imo Edit: Oh and i would really recommend the 2x 530 something bombs, have more power combined and are better for vehicles

Its Battlefield overall, and there´s quite the history of overnerfing stuff and have it be broken and/or useless at the end.

Flying a plane on console is so much harder than flying on pc so I definitely don’t mind the 20mm he. Before I used to get 0-2 killed one trafing runs and now I can get 1-5
The only reason that the fliegerfaust is so OP is because the hitboxes of the planes are completly broken. You can tell at 3:48 that not a single rocket should connect, But still half of them does. It works like a flak cannon with stupid range instaid of a rocket launcher. i also still can't imagine a rocket being fired travels faster than a AA round being shot. Also i would recomment using the dual big bomb loadout, They do more dmg than the the single on. if you're on target you can kill a LVT in one go. And you can also split them up on infantry, as one bomb easly wipes 3 ppl standing next to eachother. Another plus is that you can use the spotting flares wich are crazy OP, they last a minute and the radius is massive. I went up 0.30 in kdr this week and had a avarge of 25 kdr and plenty of hackusations just by shooting spotted triangles. The quick bomb loadout is not really worth it anyway if you ask me, cuz the bombs will not be reloaded with the zero if you fly straight from the reload point to the frontline. You always have to make a pass back anyway before they are reloaded so its not really worth it since the 20MM HE cannons are reloaded straight away anyway. Its really worth trying it out, i hope you give it a go as resetting the upgrades are free anyway.
i think one of the reasons dice hasnt had any problems introducing the fliegerfaust ( its been named cancerfaust haha) , is that before the faust, plane would get ridiculously close to the ground for extended periods of time. ( yes you too Dave :D ) and the fliegerfaust kinda helps to keep the planes at a higher altitude . wich i kinda think is more realistic and good for the game. pros and cons. its not at all perfect. but higher altitudes for planes im liking.
On Iwo Jima defense, its nasty having a plane with the 8x rockets as well. You can just stay out of reach of fliegers and constantly keep reking their tanks. Taken out a good 20 tanks in a single game and they dont even get off the beach.
Historically (i know this is just arcade video game) but i think EA can use more paint for the zero skin, that skin they are using is a early paint on the world war 2, I think that a dark green color and old or decayed by use would have been much better and according to the airplane model, the last model that I understand was never made of 4 20 mm guns and it was the a6m8 which had a lot of color darker, seeing it gray gives the feeling of using the earliest model of this plane that only used 2 20mm cannons and 2 7.7mm machine guns
Not with how Battlefield 5 chooses your team. I've been in many games where it has put me on the side that looses horribly. And while in the Zero, you'll only be up in the air for 10 seconds before Flak, enemy plane, or a ground troop shoots you down
Here’s a small tip to anyone use the 6 pounders on the beach you can get a lot of kills if you know what you are doing as well as the type 10 basically a big AA gun but it can also be used against infantry and armour.
I think the reason why they made the fligerfaust was to let people easily to shoot down a plane if they aren’t that good at using the panzerfaust to shoot down planes
almothana I noticed the enemies are not constantly spotted at least for me on ps4. They spot immediately after launching but disappear as I pass and when I circle around they only appear when I get close enough. Maybe it’s a proximity thing?
Fun fact about the a6m2 it suffered from the same problem as the early spitfires and hurricanes that problem being in negative g flight the engine would be flooded and shut off

I agree that the explosive rounds are too easy, but they've been the only thing I can use reliably from such a high altitude to avoid fliegerfausts. You can't get too close in straffing runs, or else you get instantly destroyed without a chance to react. That kinda renders the bombs useless without the aiming reticule. And I know that the flieger is supposed to deal 90 damge max, but that's not what it seems, I've been one shot from 100hp plenty of times. Maybe I got shot by two people at once, it's just impossible to know that because one second you're ok, the next you're dead. It's honestly giving me PTSD from flying too close to the ground and it turned piloting into an anxiety attack experience.
If enemy team has two ace pilots with fighters loadout this kinda score will be impossible. Overall zero is a easier fighter too thanks to nose mounting guns
my new setup for the zero and corsair the one more suited for air to ground i use the 20 mils finned barrels for dog fighting incendiaries spotting flares and improved control surfaces

Yeah, from what I can tell, you have a team of pilots on one side and seemingly no decent pilot on the other. Of course you will dominate the sky, with or without the fliegerfaust. That is basically how Battlefield goes, teamwork makes it a lot easier. But let's not ignore the fact that the only reason Dave can get such a high score is because the 20mm HE allows him to shoot from insane ranges, he would be an easy target for the FF way more often with regular machine guns.
Kills a boatload of infantry in one run, then in turn gets one-shot by Fliegerfausts. This is "Balance" in the same way that giving every player a tactical nuke at the start of the round is "balance".
I think if you take the cannons, bombs should be locked out. Spawn with 50 ammo, refill only gives 25. To replace bombs, a perk that allows refills up to 35. Overall, drop the blast radius or make it only damage squishy targets.
I'm trying to get into piloting more and wanted to know, how do you aim the bombs on the new Pacific airplanes? They aren't like the base planes. They don't have a reticle for where the bombs will drop. How do you do it? Is it just doing it enough you learn or...?

Well mate i like to use every weapons, gadgets stationary weapons planes vehicles too, i even like the transport vehicles, especially like those with machine guns.
they should nerf the fliegerfausts range, and ammo cap. As for the HE cannon rounds they should nerf splash damadge or make it a slower rate of fire. Like you Dave im a combined arms player and i use both the flieger and the HE cannons but i also find them annoying to go against.

Lol imagine having to aim with a weapon that only ever had 80 of them used in actual combat due to their inaccuracy

almothana I noticed the enemies are not constantly spotted at least for me on ps4. They spot immediately after launching but disappear as I pass and when I circle around they only appear when I get close enough. Maybe it’s a proximity thing?
Everytime i fly the other two plane crash in to the water and boom its 3v1

Fun fact about the a6m2 it suffered from the same problem as the early spitfires and hurricanes that problem being in negative g flight the engine would be flooded and shut off

The type 9 artillery is anti air. It has proximity fuses. So shoot near aircraft.

I agree that the explosive rounds are too easy, but they've been the only thing I can use reliably from such a high altitude to avoid fliegerfausts. You can't get too close in straffing runs, or else you get instantly destroyed without a chance to react. That kinda renders the bombs useless without the aiming reticule. And I know that the flieger is supposed to deal 90 damge max, but that's not what it seems, I've been one shot from 100hp plenty of times. Maybe I got shot by two people at once, it's just impossible to know that because one second you're ok, the next you're dead. It's honestly giving me PTSD from flying too close to the ground and it turned piloting into an anxiety attack experience.
If enemy team has two ace pilots with fighters loadout this kinda score will be impossible. Overall zero is a easier fighter too thanks to nose mounting guns

I only use fliegerfaust when annoying level 500s are in planes killing my squad over and over.
my new setup for the zero and corsair the one more suited for air to ground i use the 20 mils finned barrels for dog fighting incendiaries spotting flares and improved control surfaces

how are you supposed to know where your bombs are going in this new patch. im trying to learn how to fly and its super difficult

Yeah, from what I can tell, you have a team of pilots on one side and seemingly no decent pilot on the other. Of course you will dominate the sky, with or without the fliegerfaust. That is basically how Battlefield goes, teamwork makes it a lot easier. But let's not ignore the fact that the only reason Dave can get such a high score is because the 20mm HE allows him to shoot from insane ranges, he would be an easy target for the FF way more often with regular machine guns.

This is "Balance" in the same way that giving every player a tactical nuke at the start of the round is "balance".
They should buff the HE round on the BF109
I think if you take the cannons, bombs should be locked out. Spawn with 50 ammo, refill only gives 25. To replace bombs, a perk that allows refills up to 35. Overall, drop the blast radius or make it only damage squishy targets.
I'm trying to get into piloting more and wanted to know, how do you aim the bombs on the new Pacific airplanes? They aren't like the base planes. They don't have a reticle for where the bombs will drop. How do you do it? Is it just doing it enough you learn or...?
billy bob yea you just have to watch your habits if it’s to drop short or far or whatever you just need to adapt now everytime I get in a plane my squad usually gets most enemies vehicles destroyed just because I can take out the tanks and shit good luck man if you need help and or on ps4 add me @elkhunter2372
Well mate i like to use every weapons, gadgets stationary weapons planes vehicles too, i even like the transport vehicles, especially like those with machine guns.
they should nerf the fliegerfausts range, and ammo cap. As for the HE cannon rounds they should nerf splash damadge or make it a slower rate of fire. Like you Dave im a combined arms player and i use both the flieger and the HE cannons but i also find them annoying to go against.
