However, guest has been used for other races such as Khalid, MGK, Vanilla Ice, and Eminem (although he is legit) and I think Puerto Ricans specifically take the term guest with a grain of salt because PR has been pivotal in the growth of Hip Hop. As a elder statesman to hip hop. Diamond is 100% right when it comes to the origins of hip hop. Puerto Ricans were there. If you grew up in certain areas of the Bronx, Puerto Ricans were your neighbors and you hung out together, but Black ppl started it. They were big on graffiti and got into breaking after blacks became more involved in DJing and MCing. But they were always around. And im speaking most definitely from The Bronx.

If you grew up in certain areas of the Bronx, Puerto Ricans were your neighbors and you hung out together, but Black ppl started it. They were big on graffiti and got into breaking after blacks became more involved in DJing and MCing. But they were always around. And im speaking most definitely from The Bronx.
