If you want to see Denzel Washington as a professional Gangster playing the role of Frank Lucas, the actual Mobster in 1960's Harlem New York - watch *American Gangster*. An amazing movie - Similar to SCARFACE
The main Mexican gangster is a maori from New Zealand, you should really check out "once were warriors" & "what becomes of the broken hearted". The funny thing is that maoris are always portrayed as Mexican or Arab in Hollywood, because Americans dont know otherwise 😂
NEED TO WATCH "American Gangster" "Fences" "Man on Fire" "Philadelphia" "Flight" "The Great Debaters" "Malcolm X" and "Glory" now. Denzel Washington is brilliant.
Please watch two more Denzel movies “Fences” , “The Great Debaters” and “American Gangster”. He has a lot of great movies to choose from but those two have amazing writing!
King Kong ain’t got shiz on me!!!! Love that line, They all knew there was a green light on him, Jake took his money, they knew he wasn’t going to live another day, that’s why they let him walk. Denzel crushed this role. So cool, so charismatic, so manipulative, so terrifying!! Oscar well deserved! Thanks guys, love your reactions

Please remember that woman's face that drove up next to him b4 they shot him down like 2pac. It will be a nice surprise for you guys later on, like seeing Tuco was😊
The corrupt cops in this film were based off real corrupt crash unit cops in LA back then. This movie is really realistic to how LA streets were back in those days.
@MKO_VOR nope the first rampart incident was in the 1970's hell there was even a LAPD scandal in the late 40's. This movie I'd an amalgamation of several historical incidents and even other cop movies like service etc. There wasn't even a Russian mafia in the 1990's. Nor was any rookie cop involved in the 1990's rampart division incident. This is not a documentary but a fictional theatrical story.
@@philmakris8507 I never said this movie was a true story, I said the overall theme of corrupt cops involved heavy in LAs underworld came from corrupt crash unit cops in the 90s.

Thank you for the action movie I've grown to like them a lot. Sometimes I like them more than romantic movies. I blame it on my dad. As a young girl my dad and I would watch black belt theater and he would watch WW2 movies. I love Shirley Temple movies but I like action too
Oh, lord!! I haven't seen this since I was in middle school, so, like, 2006 lol I forgot Macey gray is in it. She plays the crackhead lady in pink with the nephew in the bathroom. She's one of my favorite singers. David letterman is obsessed with her too! 😅❤#2003 wish i had a time a time machine.
The guys who inspired Denzel's character were part of a unit called RAMPART; two of the primary inspirations were named Rafael Perez and David Mack. One of them may (or may not) have shot Biggie Smalls. There's an entire TV show about all the stuff their unit got about to called The Shield; if you like Breaking Bad you'll love that one. It has the best pilot (first episode) ever.
@@survivalrush I watched it after it was over. My brother came over to a friend's house, watched the final three episodes all in one go and his jaw was (of course) on the floor. Our friend then turned to him and said "you wanna watch another seven whole seasons of this?"
The Shield was incredible television. I love how the tension was cranked up right to the very last couple of episodes. I'm amazed that it isn't more widely known.
Ah, the moment you recognized Tuco there, the game is up! With him in a situation nothing good can get from it... 😅 (Raymond Cruz should be a nice guy, but his roles are REALLY scary)
Fun fact: the head of the Mexican gang trio is played by a Persian American actor. And the bald one has been in many movies buthis character always ends up being named Hector. You guys should check out the first FAST AND FURIOUS movie and L.A. CONFIDENTIAL
A couple of recommendations of movies that, just like this one, kinda messes with you a bit, pulls you in, and - at least for the duration of the movie - makes you question things: Sicario (2015) Shot Caller (2017)
The last thing you guys need is ANOTHER recommendation... but! If you're interested in a show about corrupt police (and some not so corrupt) in LA, with some good writing and some great performances, there's always "The Shield". It's quite a bit less 'cartoon-ish' than this film, and lacks Denzel Washington, but I couldn't stop watching it. More than once, too.
If you want to watch a truly great movie, check out The Last of the Mohicans. I am sincerely curious to see what you guys have to say about that. The height of western colonialism put to film.
Glad you guys enjoyed the movie. One of Denzel’s iconic roles. I hope you dive into more of his films, one the best actors in Hollywood. Other great Denzel movies: Malcolm X Glory Inside Man Crimson Tide Remember the Titans There are so many you really can’t go wrong any. 🩷
Denzel won the Academy Award for Best Actor in this role

Couldn't agree more

The way Denzel gasped for life is so good. As someone who has seen a few last breaths, its spot on. Brilliant movie
Hell yeah one of my favorite movies ever! KING KONG AIN'T GOT SHIT ON ME!
Any Denzel Washington movie is going to be an A+ phenomenal actor
Awesome reaction guys
NEED TO WATCH "American Gangster" "Fences" "Man on Fire" "Philadelphia" "Flight" "The Great Debaters" "Malcolm X" and "Glory" now. Denzel Washington is brilliant.
Don't forget "Fallen"
All those are average.
'Man on Fire' is by far the best!
You have to put 'The Equalizer' on that list
These guys aren't watching Philadelphia lol
@CaseyQ I think they would appreciate it, if not empathize with it.
Please watch two more Denzel movies “Fences” , “The Great Debaters” and “American Gangster”. He has a lot of great movies to choose from but those two have amazing writing!
Best reactors on TH-cam
I agree!
this guys are genuine the rest are acting.
Honestly these guys do have a true pure reaction to the movies they watch .
Man, this movie was filmed in my neighborhood, literally like two blocks away from me😅 around MacArthur Park in Los Angeles.

How have you not done Malcolm X? Denzel won an Oscar for Training Day but we all know it was actually for Malcolm X.

Denzel Washington was completely amazing in this role.

The ghetto’s in California look nice compared to over here in Tennessee
Some versions at the time tinted the red gang colors orange to avoid being associated with the actual Bloods.
Hopefully we can get more reactions to this film
Man on Fire is another great Denzel Washington movie.
Next movie must be "Man On Fire - 2004" with Denzel Washington...
Luv u guys. Pls watch THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME.
It's newer and fantastic
Pelican brief is another superb denzel/Julia Robert's movie.
Welcome to real American culture.
Denzel is such a nice guy outside of character it's still weird to see him play this part in this movie.
King Kong ain't got sh*t on this reply!
