Thanks for this interview. I really appreciate that you ask a question and then LISTEN to the answer by Tim. NOT many interviewers do this. Well done, you allow Tim to show that he is the real deal and down to earth- with no hype. Thanks Everyone.
Great video! I'm reading the book now, in Cebu, on a vacation away from my teaching job in Seoul. I'm doing the exercises and coming up with good ideas for making more money by doing more of what I enjoy doing. I peeked at my email, and I decided to defer it all to Monday, July 7, when I return to work, rather than letting it sabotage my vacation. I'll wait until Friday the 27th of June to return to Facebook. Focus on excitement. Boredom is the enemy.
Love Ferris, but at 7:00 his discourse on Thoreau is a common misperception. Thoreau was NOT alone at Walden Woods, in fact, he was 3 miles from his family home (town) and he went into town 2-3 times per week. He was hardly a hermit. See Reference. articles.chicagotribune.com/2004-08-09/features/0408090225_1_elizabeth-hall-witherell-thoreau-institute-walden-woods
@siliconsurf And this is exactly why it isn't bullshit, because you think it is. For Tim's philosophy to work, you need the majority of the population to keep flogging themselves with 80 hr weeks.
And she gets paid for those hours, doing something that she's probably adept at. He's using those 10 hours that he just freed up from doing things which are not a productive use of his energy, to do things which are productive to do, with said energy. If you're really awesome at doing a skill, say computer programming, but your boss is telling you that you need to be in meetings all the time... are you giving the best value possible for that hour in which you just invested your time?
Please leave the rude host alone & have some compassion. He's not a happy person. It must be terrible to wake up everyday and be him. #untilyouvewalkedinamansshoes
I find it interesting that all of this "four hours a week"...is his hours. I wonder how many hours that woman on that island puts in. Ten times that? More?
being good to oneself does not mean that you should be nice to the others, if you have to sell stuff online in order to live a nice life so be it, hahahahhaha

I want to thank Tim Ferriss for my success in actually living the 4 hour work week
How did you do it? :)
Massive action without clearly defined objectives is a form of laziness.... GENIUS!
My Achilles 😢
I dont understand why people have a problem with this process or this man he is right on the money.
Lovely super important lessons. This video is going to change my life! I will read the book. Thank you!

I enjoyed watching this. Some great tips.
According to the book, I shouldn't watch this.
That's the essence of investing!
