1. You should fear Jesus because He powerfully intimidating (13-17a)
i. The baby Jesus is revealed as He really is(13-15)
ii. The baby Jesus is revealed as having real authority (16)
iii.The baby Jesus is revealed as awesome (17a)
2. You should not fear Jesus because He is powerfully forgiving (17b-18)
i. He can forgive because the baby was eternal (v17b-18a)
ii. He can forgive because the baby Jesus died and rose (18b)
