Hi Shanna...the reason that the holes in the natural gemstones are so small is because they are drilled with a water laser jet. While they are real gemstones they are not the highest quality/grade, therefore unable to be drilled using conventional methods. They are placed in a line in a tray appropriate for their size and a high pressure laser stream of water shoots through the whole line. This is why every now and then You get one that is off center or drilled a little crooked. They are still very usable and generally very affordable per strand. I have been making jewelry for more than 30 years with both.....top quality and, the smaller lesser grade gemstones. They are perfect for so many beautiful pieces as well as accent beads in a larger piece. I love your videos. I have been watching them while I am recovering from surgery and unable to hold my tools.💖💖💖
Very nice earrings and a great way to use up small beads. Love it! 5:12 - You can buy a small tool called a wire rounder that makes it easier and faster to round off sharp wire cut ends. Its very inexpensive, and worth it. Filing is often not possible if you are short on space for small sections. A good point you made about the hole in bead fitting the wire. Check first. 26 gauge wire should fit any bead hole size. If hole is too big, push wire twice thru it to secure firmly. An excellent tutorial, many thanks!
I know this video is from a couple years ago, but I just found it. I love these earrings. I look forward to trying to make this design myself. Thank you SO much! 😊
I've been binge watching wire wrapping videos while we're all stuck in our homes, and I definitely need to try this. I don't know how your videos haven't gotten more views and comments, they're awesome. You make everything look so easy, like even I could manage. If I make anything, I'll be sure to post. Thank you for posting your videos.
The earrings are so beautiful. You are so much like me . I have to do it my own way. You are very talented. Thank you for sharing. Such an inspiration ♥️🌈🙌
Please consider adjusting the volume when you file the earrings and when you hammer them. Thank you for sharing this tutorial on these beautiful earrings.
I just found this video and love how you do those earrings. I'm going to subscribe and see what other goodies you have shown. Thank you so much for sharing your talents.
I do like the wrap you show around the gemstones. I believe I will make these today. Gold metal with black spinal or black onyx. Thank-you for the tutorial.
@@Wirewrap thank you so much! Would you be able to send me the link? I looked and saw on amazon groupings of manderels with other tools, but I just would like the one you utilize. Thanks again for your help.
I added this to the search "steel ring mandrel with groove". There's one that's just a little over $20 that would be perfect. Look for one that is solid stainless steel. Several of them are either plastic or aluminum and they are not as nice to work with. Look for solid stainless steel.
Hi Shanna! I love watching your videos! You explain things so they seem so much easier and you're very clear with your directions. And the jewelry is beautiful! I'm still struggling with keeping my wire nice and straight during the initial base pieces. I feel like every time I touch it, it gets misshapen. I'll definitely have to practice keeping a lighter touch on the pieces! Thanks for giving your time to do these videos that help us so much! 💜
The only thing I had a hard time with was the music kept getting louder and made more difficult to concentrate on your directions. It's very pretty music though!
Very beautiful earrings, everytime I hammer my jewelry it always comes out crooked so I am going to try this technique!😊Thank you so much for sharing these amazing earrings! ☺
Love these ! Look like Something I can do. Shannas, Where do you purchase the gemstones..? Just want to learn the craft. Thanks for your tutorials !!! Love your style !
My loop still bends as I’m wire wrapping. When does this stuff work harden ? Should I buy better wire? Worried if they get caught in something they will move. Help!
Hi there. I don't usually complain on TH-cam videos and I'm not trying to be nitpicking or insulting toward you. I still hit the "like " button because, overall, I liked the tutorial. But I'm completely finished with one earring and even though you did mention to "center" the beads, I kinda wish you would have instructed/reminded me, as well, to make sure that all the beads were front-facing before the initial wrap that locked them into place. That's a different thing entirely. It's on me because I should have had the foresight so I have no one to blame but myself. But now, I need to re-create this entire earring because I can't sell it looking like this, with all the interior wire exposed. And I'm fairly new at this so it's a bit time-consuming for me. That said, let this be a lesson to y'all jewelry artists out there so that you don't make the same critical mistake I just did!
THIS VIDEO WOULD OF BEEN WAAAY BETTER IF SHE JUST WOULD OF SPED UP THE HAMMERING PART AND LOWARD THE VOLUME. IT WAS UNPLEASANT TO HEAR THAT LOUD HAMMERING 😩

Hi there, I love your videos. Can you let us know where to get the steel mandrel?

Where did you purchase your 4 mm beads with the multiple colors? I love your videos!
Tucson gem show.. but craft stores sell them.. like Michaels or Joann
Hi Shanna, love your tutorials!!! Just joined your channel, I live in Peoria, AZ.
If you don’t hammer the wire before bending it then it’ll be easier to bend and twist because it won’t be work hardened by the hammer. Just a thought.
Love
Thank you 🥰
Just gorgeous! I've been looking for a tutorial like this one & can't wait to try it out. Many thanks 😊🌺🌻🌼
I can't wait to make mine's. Thank you

Just made your earrings and have already sold five pairs. But I was wondering where you got the assorted 4mm gemstones from?
Where do you buy these tyre gemstone beads? They are lovely. I’m worried that I’ll buy fake and waste money
I found mine at the Tucson gem show.
Hi Shanna, is your wire dead soft or half hard?
It's this wire the same as the one they sell at Michaels? Or where do you buy it for best prices?
I love those earrings! May I ask Where did you get your cute assortment of gemstone beads? if you don’t mind telling...;)
Could you use flat wire instead?
Hi, where did you get your beads? TIA
Tucson AZ gem show
hello, is this copper wire plated or pure copper?

Is pure copper wire
