I love my THR 10 just to let you know I use a product by a company called mpow . It is a Bluetooth receiver with an 8th inch jack that plugs into the auxiliary. That way I can stream my iPad backing track or. my phone backing tracks, directly to that unit and jam with my favorites tracks.
I have the 'big one' THR 30. But it is a desktop amp. This means it sounds best in a normal sized room and if you sit relatively close to it, not twelve feet away! In a bedroom, it's great. The sound is really rather impressive for such a small thing and the sound quality is excellent within the relatively narrow parameters of desktop amp.
Got my THR10 v2 for $100 used (like new condition) about 5 years ago... Its a great little amp, has given me no problems at all, and it gets loud as hell.
I’ve had one for a few years. Totally worth it. Sounds amazing. Plus I found a whole library of presets online for free you can load in a few for many styles. I’d like to upgrade to the new white one
I also own one of these beauties. I agree with your reasons and I wish to add one of my own, it's the only amp in it's category that doesn't sound boxey to my ears, this is perhaps due to the fact that the speaker enclosure is made of plastic and metal, instead wood and plastic like it's competitors.
The price point kills this amp, sorry to say. The katanas , spark amps and many others are less and have better software. If Yamaha dropped these in price they would be more viable. They may have a great look and sound but unless you get one at a great deal used they are better choices.
You forget that the Yamaha is portable, takes batteries, is the first of its kind, and actually has a very special sound, more tube-like than the Katana.

Could swear you were playing Days of the New. Gorgeous
Got the Boss equivalent (Dual Cube) and over outs into mixer/monitors it sounds huge! Over built in speakers it sounds small yet the sound is there.
The built-in speaker sounds quite boxy.

I also have this Yamaha THR 10 Guitar amp, It's so nice Guitar amp.
Looks one of them little electric heaters with the wire element inside
Great little amps, like you i still have one of these, looks and most impotantly sounds great.
Terrific thanks. Although I am guessing this would not be powerful enough for a small band playing in small venues? Have you tried it by any chance.
Yeah, it may not be powerful enough!
@@bestguitarsnow Yes. Thanks for the reply.
Great video!! I am going to buy this amp
And I would like to know what guitar you own, looks amazing
Thanks! It’s the Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster :)

A very nice amp, a great review, and a great playing also!

@@scissorblades thanks a lot!
cOOL COMBO, DO YOU HAVE INFO ON THE SPEAKERS SIZE ARE THEY 5 INCHES? THANKS!
unfortunately not 5! I'm pretty sure it's a pair of 3" speakers
What kind of amp it is? Ss, tube, tube pre ss output or ss pre and tube output?.
None, it is digital.
Does it have rechargeable battery inside?
No it doesn't. But you can put your own rechargeable AA batteries in and it will run for about 5-6 hours at medium volume.
I know it. what once was, hers 05:09
I had one and I ended up selling it. It was okay but nothing special.
Is this amp okay for acoustic electric guitars??
Yes. I play my acoustic through it. And it actually has an acoustic preset that sounds pretty good.

If they sound better... Pay up.
I disagree, the Yamaha sounds way better to my ears.
