As a Hrothgar player, I always look forward to what feels like occasional table scraps of acknowledgment that Square Enix sends our way from time to time. Like did you see the Dawntrail teaser? We saw Hrothgar back at one point! Square is spoiling us with that! Maybe if we're lucky, a Hrothgar might even be a quest giver or two when Dawntrail comes out.
I'm pretty sure just like they did with a male viera npc being somewhat important to endwalker, a female hrotgar is gonna play some kind of plot in the dawntrail expansion
I feel that, like in the shadowbringers trailer they show a female viera dancer in full to really show off the race and class in one, but not a single hrothgar even in the crowded background and neither future expansion trailers show anything at all, except one walking by briefly lol

Hrothgars stick with Hrothgars it seems, most of my FF14 friends list people are fellow Hrothgars, I genuinely get excited when I'm not the only Hrothgar in a Trial, Dungeon, or Raid
First major encounter with a Hrothgar was when I was having my mom help me transfer something between characters on a server a rarely frequented and this random Hrothgar RP walked up to my cat boy, initiates a trade, gave me a flower and RP walked away without a word. The other major encounter that sticks in my head is when I got an all Hrothgar party in Matoya’s relict, again playing as my cat boy and it felt like I had been some orphan they had rescued and was finally old enough to join them (I come up with random RP stories as I game, especially dungeon crawls, less so with new games but for games where I can create my character I always subconsciously come up with a story for who I am creating). That last one may have also been because I got a ShB dungeon in the level 50/60/70/80 roulette after EW and those are always a rare treat for me. Also that song is awesome, and this video almost makes me want to roll a Hrothgar.
I play Hrothgar and one of my big draws to the race is how Hrothgar faces radiate no-thoght-head-empty-lapradoor energy in many cutscens with their blank expressions. I just love it. I get a good kick out of seeng my cat look silly on screen xD
GOD yes, the adorably foolish wide-eyed open mouth stare especially to the side always gets me and I love it. I had no choice but to make my character's personality be cute dumbass that is constantly astounded by everything around him in my mind

Both Lalafell and Hrothgar couldn't be more different from each other but for some reason, both races are very prone to receive drive-by pettings. And I love it.

Hoping Hroths get access to more hairstyles and headgear soon. I feel their styling limitations blunder their popularity by a lot. Regardless of what job I am, I'll never let my Hroth be caught dead in public without a fashionable and matching headpiece!
Our hair selection has exploded since Endwalker release to the point where it feels like almost every major patch adds two more, lol. (As for headgear, there are ways around that if you're a PC player...)
I just want them to look like what they do in the concept art, somewhere inbetween Hrothgar and Miqote while also maintaining their muscle and royal stature. If you're wondering what I'm talking about, look up concept art for the Hroth queen that was "SUPPOSED" to be in the one in the Bozja quest for reference.
Love my Hrothgar, though I had to use mods. I hated having toenails, seriously, they are animals, they need claws. I also added digitigrade feet, a slightly buffer build and being able to stand up straight. oh, and I also adding a lupin head and made him look like death from puss n boots for my reaper :P
Standard new player hrothgar experience: Goes to Limsa first time and get offered 1M gil for ERP From total amount of players hroths makes around 1%......if we count endgame players only 2%. I think the population will grow when the female counterpart is available. But so far the announcement of delay for femhroths and headgear solution made many players use fanta to other races. So only 3 types of hroths player left
i love hrothgar because they are so cute and goofy. i've been every race aside from roe and lala, several times over, yet hrothgar is the only one where i truly feel i won't have to use a fantasia ever again. love my hilarious cat man

Hrothgars are my like, 3rd favorite race because of the flair they add to the world. They aren’t just human with one slider all the way up or some animal like ears. A lot of my friends are Hrothgars and boy. Let me just tell you that a group of lions are called a Pride. And that is WAY too on the nose for them Also HI, MONSTER FUCKER HERE. Female Hrothgar should be twice the size of the males with tons of veiny muscles. Kinda like the Bugbears you walk in on in Baldurs Gate 3 but meatier.
Considering the existence of the femhroth mod (and customize+), I wouldn't even be mad if we never got them officially. Would still be nice though, especially for our console degenerates-in-arms.
Being somebody that plays on hrothgar I will tell you that in my friend Circle I've been called big tiger Daddy so many times that it's not even funny at this point but I mean how can I get it is still a little funny. But I'm still surprised not many people still don't play hrothgar lot. Like anytime I'm in the city I easily get pointed out by a lot of my friends because I'm the only hrothgar they can find in a 800 mile radius.
If my WoL wasn't female I would've happily went Hrothgar. They look amazingly unique compared to everyone else, and I love the personality in their animations. Hoping fem Hrothgar will stick to a similar formula but with feminine features. Please Yoshi-P don't do 'em like you did the Au Ra. (No hate towards Au Ra, but ngl I was disappointed they went with the "tall strong males short petite females" schtick.)
Hrothgar look really cool i have one as an alt but making glams is really difficult because their bulkyness + their posture makes alot of gear look bad or weird
As a Hrothgar player my only complaint is the lack of thiccness on their butt, it doesn't sit well with me to see a buff dude with a relatively flat bottom. Besides it's only fair for Hrothgars to look thicc when we got 99% of the female races with neat features. 😤
Some pants will buff your rump a bit, like the Expeditioner's Pantalettes. But tbh, yeah, Hrothgar (and male characters in general) need some junk in their trunks.
Gods I can see so many issues with female Brovguar design.. Like imagine a male Herofgar but with like a completely flat face. Like a Rguagedyn female with weird -legs- feet. In the end we will probably end up with cat girls whos face look even more like a cat but they also get like broad hips.. In any case... the players will make a crazy fuss about it.
I also suspect they will be way way smaller than everybody predicts. Like I'm speaking at max cat girl levels.. you know.. like the difference between male and female -AuRa- crustacean people.
I sincerely hope that femhroth will take on femroe as the base and just Big Moms, and not another petite cat girl. (Which I only say because there's already Miqo'te.) Not having access to the majority of headgear is a bit of a sore point for most Hrothgar players, to be honest. While, yeah, I agree that while Hrothgar have a unique head profile that you kind of want to have show, I think some headgear could accentuate that, but you don't even have the option to choose aside from eye coverings or stick-on-forehead gear. (Old, pre-ShB gear needing to be updated is a given, but heck even ShB gear where Hroth were introduced dont have any headgear usable by Hrothgar, and even new headgear is still unusable. It's just not considered.) The hope is that it'll be properly addressed with the introduction of femhroth. 😓

Being somebody that plays on hrothgar I will tell you that in my friend Circle I've been called big tiger Daddy so many times that it's not even funny at this point but I mean how can I get it is still a little funny.
But I'm still surprised not many people still don't play hrothgar lot. Like anytime I'm in the city I easily get pointed out by a lot of my friends because I'm the only hrothgar they can find in a 800 mile radius.

If my WoL wasn't female I would've happily went Hrothgar. They look amazingly unique compared to everyone else, and I love the personality in their animations. Hoping fem Hrothgar will stick to a similar formula but with feminine features. Please Yoshi-P don't do 'em like you did the Au Ra.
(No hate towards Au Ra, but ngl I was disappointed they went with the "tall strong males short petite females" schtick.)
Having two clans, one where the females are beefy and the other is slender, would be a neat idea that is the best of both worlds.
If I didn't like Lalafell so much I probably would've been a Hrothgar.
Hrothgar look really cool i have one as an alt but making glams is really difficult because their bulkyness + their posture makes alot of gear look bad or weird
As a Hrothgar player my only complaint is the lack of thiccness on their butt, it doesn't sit well with me to see a buff dude with a relatively flat bottom.
Besides it's only fair for Hrothgars to look thicc when we got 99% of the female races with neat features. 😤
Some pants will buff your rump a bit, like the Expeditioner's Pantalettes.
But tbh, yeah, Hrothgar (and male characters in general) need some junk in their trunks.

Gods I can see so many issues with female Brovguar design..
Like imagine a male Herofgar but with like a completely flat face. Like a Rguagedyn female with weird -legs- feet.
In the end we will probably end up with cat girls whos face look even more like a cat but they also get like broad hips..
In any case... the players will make a crazy fuss about it.
I also suspect they will be way way smaller than everybody predicts. Like I'm speaking at max cat girl levels.. you know.. like the difference between male and female -AuRa- crustacean people.
I sincerely hope that femhroth will take on femroe as the base and just Big Moms, and not another petite cat girl. (Which I only say because there's already Miqo'te.)
Not having access to the majority of headgear is a bit of a sore point for most Hrothgar players, to be honest. While, yeah, I agree that while Hrothgar have a unique head profile that you kind of want to have show, I think some headgear could accentuate that, but you don't even have the option to choose aside from eye coverings or stick-on-forehead gear.
(Old, pre-ShB gear needing to be updated is a given, but heck even ShB gear where Hroth were introduced dont have any headgear usable by Hrothgar, and even new headgear is still unusable. It's just not considered.)
The hope is that it'll be properly addressed with the introduction of femhroth. 😓

Roegadyn and Hrothgar have the exact same build because they use the exact same torso! The only difference is that Hrothgar have scoliosis.
The hunch is actually to make them seem more beastly, and tbh I've grown to like it.

once came across a hrothgar doing fates while i was grinding for heavensward relic weapons, it resulted in me hating hrothgars for a LONG time, still somewhat do cause boy if you met balmung hrothgars you'd hate them too.
