- Prayer changes things. Prayer changes you and your world around you, but it doesn’t change God. Prayer doesn’t cause God to respond and give you what you want or need, he’s already done that. God doesn’t have anything else to give to you. The only thing God has left to give you is wisdom, revelation and guidance on how to live within everything he’s already given you. In fact, he gave you his spirit, the essence of his very own life, so you would understand what he’s given you in Christ.

I lost a job it was a home coordinator residential program at the house Mom but they found out that I was a Christian and it was a mother of one of the clients she belonged in the witches Circle and next thing I know she took her adult son out of the home later I found out they go through for people in a year on average
Pastor , your missing the mark a little. God is within us. We are part of the Source and have a constant connection.

Wondering what you think re expectancy...I got burnt out on that concept and just focused on praying more irregardless of whether I believe things will improve or not and that's when my prayers really got answered. Just keeping on, not whether or not I'm convinced my situation would get better or not. To me that became impossible and lying even if I said I was positive. I've seen God answer my prayers and has nothing to do with expectancy, positive confession.
In a situation like you described you may actually do more damage than good. To continue to pray with no hope is to send a subtle message to your heart that could harden sensitivity toward God. I do not like the "fake it til you make it" theory.
I think a better approach is to settle into what you know is true, the things that you do have confidence in. Once those things are alive, then move back into prayer in the areas that have become stagnant.
