Bluegill on a fly rod is a lot of fun. Not a common method where I'm from in Texas. Never forget when i was around 10 yo while catching brim on a fly I hooked into around a 6 lb Gaspergou (freshwater drum). Fight of my life! Lost it at the boat 😅. I went on to catch many big fish on a fly but that core memory I'll never forget. Had me hooked!

Hey I’m new for fishing and I use a stick bobber when I go fishing at a lake but when the bobber goes down I start reeling it in and i set the hook but there is no fish any tips?
@Onlycr7here wait for the bobber to go fully under the surface then set hook. If still nothing maybe your hook is either too big or too small so put that into perspective aswell. Goodluck out there!

Why are carp considered garbage fish? As an avid angler I had to find out. Carp are actually delicious, and based on the samples I got from university of Oregons lab, the meat has less carcinogens than frozen fish bought from Whole Foods

No big difference on that fine flyrods when theyre about to catch bluegills , u choose a fine rod like #3 , we dont got blueys in our country but #2 to light #5 were my max to fish in small ponds or creeks

She landed it herself and she released it herself. And she said thankyou after it was over. Not for helping, she thanked me for letting her work it out that she could do this by herself and win the fight herself.
