I just found this show, I'm 32 yrs old in 2022!!!! Yelled at my mom this very night.. had I seen this as a child I prob would have ended up famous. Love it so much!!
There aren't a lot of TV shows that do this for me, but when the world seems so chaotic, I can sit and watch an episode of Dick Van Dyke or Andy Griffith or the Waltons and somehow I feel centered again.
No way to give a thumbs down on this! Such beauty & joy! 😊 😃 I am thankful to all of these brilliant and talented performers for sharing their gifts 🎁 🙏 ❤️
@@johnrodriguez6426 The Andy Griffith fans who don’t want to share “best classic sitcom award” with any other show. I like them equally, with the qualifier that the AG with Barney are equal to TDVD show.
Sigh I loved this show dearly as a kid and totally crushed on Mary. I thought I'd enjoy seeing this clip but could not get through it. I got misty eyed as soon as i saw Mary's beautiful smile and remembered that she is gone and now Rose Marie recently departed as well. both such talented funny ladies. I am so glad that videos of their talents have survived them and that new fans will discover them. Thank U for posting the clip.
This one, the one with the walnuts in the closet and the "Uddy Umps" Christmas toy that flew, Doodle Song, and the dance that Laura and Rob did in the army talent show "you wonderful you"
I remember when this show aired in 1961 the year I was born, and watched this growing up. . LOVED this show. Genius. Even at a very young age this was so cool. This and Jack LaLanne.
Love this clip so much. Back to watch it again. Been watching this episode since the mid 60"s and still not tired of this entertaining bit.Such talented ppl. Huge crush on DVD still after all of these years.

Me too!
Little House On The Prairie and Gomer Pyle
Can you all even imagine how much rehearsal had to go it to this ONE scene?? it's amazingly well put together !
How could anyone give this a thumbs down????!!!!!
The thumbs downers aren’t fine musicians.
Either a Gloomy Gus or a Debbie Downer.
The Thumbs Down have been dumped down the memory hole by the geniuses at TH-cam.

This is a great skit. They performed it twice on the Dick Van Dyke Show
They did, a couple seasons apart. I've wondered how many people were, "Hey! We saw that before!"
I thought I remembered one where they were wearing a uniform of some sort

One of my favorite episodes and I saw them ALL! MANY times! Love this show!
The best one is the no-thumbs aliens with walnuts.
This one, the one with the walnuts in the closet and the "Uddy Umps" Christmas toy that flew, Doodle Song, and the dance that Laura and Rob did in the army talent show "you wonderful you"
I like the haunted cabin episode too
“Oh Rob-b-b-b!”

Real skills, talent and entertainment!
My love of this show has no bounds
What chemistry between these 4 actors and actresses 🙂
I remember that one, I've always enjoyed watching the dick van Dyke show. It never gets old
Saw this for the first time just a few seconds back. LOVED it.
HAPPY 99TH BIRTHDAY DICK VAN DYKE!!❤🎉 One of my favorite scenes of this great show!
Love You Dick Van Dyke!!❤
01:15 Mary Tyler Moore making "pas de bouree couru", a ballet step.
Make sense. She was a ballerina before being an actress.
Loved how MTM floated out. Such classic entertainment!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
She entered doing "pas de bouree couru", a ballet step. She was a classically trained ballerina before she decided to enter show business.
My favorite bit is how she "deedleeddle-eats" off the stage.
i don't know if this clip is better than the xmas show-i guess each has their merits. but what a once in a lifetime cast huh ?
This man can do no wrong, in my book. Loved his brother Jerry, too!
I enjoyed this episode. Here are the original singers of this song, Dinah Shore,Phil Harris,Tony Martin and Betty Hutton, recorded in 1951 I believe.

LOVE THE SONG AND THEIR PERFORMANCE
My Grandfather Used To Watch This Show When He Was About My Age
there were really a lot of musical moments in this series along the way..
One word comes to mind after watching this performance - brilliant! [END OF STORY]
That world is slipping away from us now gone with the wind
I ❤ Dick Van Dyke is still alive loved that it.
Loving this! 42 and it’s the first time I’ve heard it
This is great. I first heard this song on Sesame Street and never forgot it. Dick Van Dyke's team did it just as well. Bravo, Dick & Co.!
A MASTERPIECE !!!
Timeless classic
Love this clip so much.
Back to watch it again.

God what a great show that was. So much talent. Such great memories.
One of my favorite episodes! Thanks for posting!
Mary Tyler Moore rip and we will miss u
Perfect choreography!
I love this ❤, and this comedy 🎭 ❤❤😊😊😊❤❤
Yehaaaaaaaaaa - the first - Goood song and show and video!
Brilliant to this day
These 4 put one one of my fav scenes in this show very cool
Let's Amit TV and movies really blows in this era bring back innocent good nature comedy like this.
Bringing back comedy that was actually funny would be a good start.
Awesome talent
Just seen Dick Van Dyke sing this with his band, Dick Van Dyke and the Vantastix.
Charming!
CLASSIC BRILLIANCE
Великолепно!браво!.
I did this in our 7th grade talent show. I was Buddy.
This song was a hit record for Betty Hutton, Dinah Shore, Tony Martin and Phil Harris in 1951
I vividly remember this skit from my youth!
Rose Marie was and still is absolutely stunning

Greatness
I understand that this was fictional but Mary AND Mary’s wedding rings were so pretty😂❤️
That's very funny! I love that song!
Rip Mary Tyler Moore
The way Buddy said tuba was totally over acted but funny.
I'd say it's funny because it's over acted.
@@billnumber3324 Bravo. Excellent point
'My music is so gay" has a totally different meaning in 2020
My sister knew a girl in grade school name Gay. Wonder how that wound up later. She'd be 66 by now.
The way that Morey Amsterdam sings "tuba" will never not be funny.
Morey's character is such a clown! Not to mention that he did the "uba" thing like a boss.
This makes me;sad when my dog died I was into this
Oh God, there isn’t anything good-natured like this anymore. Alas, nothing is the same… after Vatican II. Heh. 😏
And Leslie Caron And Leslie Ann Warren
And Judy Holliday And Dean Martin
And Ann Margret And Bobby Rydell And Paul Lynde And Jean Stapleton And Maureen Stapleton And Ed Sullivan
And Grandmother Likes Jon And Kate Plus 8 Too
Episode 54? That's a long season. ;)
Season 2 had 32 episodes.
He’s counting season 1 & 2
I love this! But why does Buddy seems so serious - almost "angry"?
You should see 1:33 where he looks spooked.
That is actually a very good point and I was wondering that myself
I'll join you!
I do this song and on the tuba I laugh so hard I cry MY FRIEND TO #ILAUGHSOHARD
This song is based on the German folk song “Ich bin ein Musikante”
Also The musicians from the flying Nun as The Musicians
Morey Amsterdam must have been a good bit short.
im only here since my music teacher told me this song was a sample of melody
