I've been considering making a BIONICLE cosplay at some point... now I'm wondering what characters would work with long fingers like this! Applying LEGOs into a BIONICLE cosplay would be a fun idea, I think!
This is awesome! I remember, one of the projects I always wanted to do but never quite figured out as a kid was making a prosthetic/biomimetic hand out of lego (and I still remember the sets I cannibalized for it, primarily the Star Wars Y-Wing and Tie Fighter set). Granted, the degrees of motion were a lot to complex for my tiny baby brain to understand, but I still remember that thought in my brain of like "this piece kinda bends like the joints in my fingers... 🤔WAIT, I'VE GOT AN IDEA!!" So glad I obviously wasn't the only kid with that idea, just not nearly smart enough to get it to work xD
This is a really great design and i really like it. The only problem is that the fingers arent pressurised enough to actually grip something. I it might get a better grip if it is combined with more technic pole dingys and rubber bands, like on a real working diy exo hand.
Another step to actual working prothesis. For now, it is just fun, building challenge, but one day, someone will watch this video and use mechanisms to build something whitch can help people. Amazing job!
I know sbrick is not in this build, but i want to ask does the cable (connect sbrick to the pf battery box) come with the normal sbrick? Or do i need to buy one somewhere
About the rings, imo elastics are beter. It is posible to clamp thin elastic material between two plates forming a loop. Lego had a holepunch to make a flexible creations with paper, i suggest to use elastics instead of paper, so it would be legal(in lego way)
This man just wore eye protection just for handling substances that are literally part of the air we breathe to live. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide and water is, well... water.
its SUPER cold though, his eyes and face would freeze, if he breathed in it, his lungs would be filled will carbon dioxide and they would freeze, carbon dioxide was used for gas chambers, its a serious thing
@@basher1904.5 it is super cold, yes, but not cold enough to get skin or longue damage from breathing in the vapors in any reasonable amount. It was definitely not used in gas chambers, you might be thinking of carbon monoxide for that one. That's an asphyxiant gas, meaning it would restrict your ability to breathe. It does that by adhering to the parts of your red blood cells that would normally be reserved for transporting oxygen and carbon dioxide through your body. (Yes, carbon dioxide is supposed to be in your blood, it's produced as a result of your body burning fuel)
My man can become the terminator if he tries to build it 💀. And if he wants to pick up things, he can try to put rubber on the fingers for a better grip
you should make a lego person tormenting machin it will punch the minifigure super fast then it will crush it and then shoot it out realy fast like a railgun and the best thing is that it will be made of lego technic
(Please reply!) your builds and creations are so great but, where do you get the parts??? buying a whole set for one or two blocks wouldn't be ideal so, you would have to order them online. is there any recomendations for reliable and cheap sites?
The dry ice stunt at the end was actually pretty clever. Well done in returning to your roots creating wearable MOCs!
🤪😎
Count legola
You should make a full suit it would be really cool but it probably would be hard to pull off
I agree although he didn't actually need a gas mask if anything just regular safety glasses are okay because dry ice is literally just frozen CO2.
@@Brick_Science can we have a tutorial
Love this!
shut up!
Sacrredd
Goat
Ye
Great build!
Same
Two words get 20 likes while my joke which I thinked of and analysed for long got exactly 2
Great stuff, Edward TechnicHands! 😁
Any chance we could get either a tutorial or a piece list for this? Would love to build!
Yup me too
Me too
viet dang you have i have same last name
Same
Yes
You should have put elastics incorporated in it so it kinda has this feeling of little resistance and it helps with gripping too
This proofs how much you can get creative with lego
Great build Riley! It's quite impressive how well those follow your real fingers. Cool idea. 🙂
Thanks Dave!!
@@Brick_Science can we get a tutorial on how to make this
@@Brick_Science Yeah bro

Yeah same I am currently still trying sometimes
Me to
also I really liked the video the build was amazing to I loved it ❤
Lego should hire this guy he is a genius
Bringing lego and experimental work together like this is amazing. Just what lego is for! Creativity! And whatever you want of course
maybe try to build a robot that is controlled by your hand, kind of an remote controlled hand or arm
it would be coool if he could show blueprints of the design so we can also make it.

Our company gotta say that’s actually pretty cool
this is in my opinion one of the coolest projects you have done one this channel... not very practical, but still awesome :)
This is the most underrated channel in TH-cam
I can't wait to see you build it i love ❤ your videos
Another step to actual working prothesis. For now, it is just fun, building challenge, but one day, someone will watch this video and use mechanisms to build something whitch can help people. Amazing job!
Your videos are always interesting and funny 😊
How do you build the hands? I’d like to build them for myself.
I know how to build them
So how do you make them? @joeligma8467
Lego should sponsor this man!
7:24 man flips us off without him even knowing lol
I really enjoy your builds And your videos
Thank you!!! ❤️😁
Maybe you can add rubber to the finger tips of those lego exoskeleton hands to make it easier when holding things
So impressive to build ten of these complicated fingers that actually work 🙂
There is a lot of engineering and innovation that goes into this.
You can make anything work with Legos that's all insane!
it took me a solid minute to realize the desk part was a sponsor.
If you out little grips on the ends of the fingers you could definitely hold stuff better
If there will ever be a nobel prize for moving dry ice safely, you deserve it
That makes 0 sense but yeah the hands are good
@@2735angel :)
Those look awesome and the work amazingly and I want to make one so do you think that you can make a Tutorial on how to make them and what you need
something that might help: legos are usually smooth and can't grip well, try adding something on the fingers to help with the grip
I really need some more clear instructions on how to make those claws, because they are so cool, but I don't think I understand the mechanics
Your build are so impressive !
Maybe try building a fully lego mechanical suit
This was so cool!
I know sbrick is not in this build, but i want to ask does the cable (connect sbrick to the pf battery box) come with the normal sbrick? Or do i need to buy one somewhere
I believe it comes with it... check on website tho it will say if it comes with it cause I’m not entirely sure!
@@Brick_Science Thanks!
I need a full tutorial for this
riley trying to pick up fruit soda is like a cyborg with a human disguise trying to learn how to use hands
Amazing! What a mastermind!

Just wait until him makes a full suit and I really want to make one of these
i want my own pair of those, they are super cool! you did a great job!
You should see the video about him, making a robotic claw. It’s so cool you should see it.
Why r u not building a whole body suit just from lego parts ? That Would be awesome in combination with that claws. Nice build, those hands!
After watching your lego coffee machine
I am just curious how does that water pump work? And what pieces did you use?
Thanks!
Duuude you have my dream job and dream room all in one video!

This iss sicckkkkkk! You should wear these more often
Looks great Riley!
Can you maybe try making a working LEGO sniper rifle
Dry ice dosent need a mask btw it’s just co2 which we breathe out so it’s not that big of a deal. But, great project.
You should make a palm for the middle so you have better grip.
the desk looks nice, is it sturdy?
also ive always wanted to do something like this with legos, might do it now lol
You could become a superhero with that hand
Just imagine Riley makes an entire suit and become a villain like TD bricks said lol
so cool😀😀
started off the video thinking it was going to be some kidsy crap that i had to skip through. Was pleasantly surprised! Im subscribing.
So great to hear!! Thanks for the pleasant comment! Hope you have a great day!
This is the best mechanical thing made out of lego!
❤️ TYSM
Do you make the best Lego creations in the whole tire world and you’re my favorite Lego artist
I'm surprised he only has 550k subs. He should have 2 million
That's sick bro can't wait 4 it!!!
Ikr
You can buy hands like this on Amazon they are called articulated hands and they are long fingers like this
I 3D printed something just like this a while ago, very cool 👍
Can I borrow a 3D printer
Amazing design as always!!!
Spends all day designing a lego machine that can just be replaced with regular gloves...... Still cooler then regular gloves!!!!!!
SUPER SHOUTOUT SQUAD
looks cool
wait a minute, is this how the robot apocalypse starts????
Is the prodotape cool man👏🏻🤟
Brilliant! You’ve got real talent there! 👍
Why Do I Want Oneeeeeeeee (Also You Need To Try To Get One Of Your Builds On Lego Ideas)
Lego dimensions 2 will have you play as Riley and his customizable mech suit
That's awesome dude!
My man can become the terminator if he tries to build it 💀. And if he wants to pick up things, he can try to put rubber on the fingers for a better grip
Huh, this is kinda what I wanted to build for my genius hour class.
add tension to the fingers if you want to hold suff via the top of the wrist mount
Looks epic you are the lego technic builder good job
Challenge for Riley- make a Lego project without laughing.. AT ALL..
I Wish I was Litteraly You With All Those Pieces Lol I litteraly have no random pieces only sets lol...
Bruh tels he is a true pro and den do the water and dryice shis. Sheee that dange dange 😂
you deserve more views/likes
i actually had an idea of making this when i was a kid. however mine was more simple yet....expensive
you should make the whole body With Lego pieces👍
Can u do instructions please I’ve been trying for a year to get it pleas
I will not be surprised if his next video is him making a Lego death ray or something
for your next vid you should challenge your friend to a build battle but you have to use the eco hands
Pretty clever make a robot next time do you have the parts to and make two robots put the exact same hands on it. Lol
you should make a lego person tormenting machin it will punch the minifigure super fast then it will crush it and then shoot it out realy fast like a railgun and the best thing is that it will be made of lego technic
I have that idea in my brainstorm list alrdy lmao!!
Genius!!
Haha, great work!
Lego needs to hire you dude
Lego watch straps would have worked well for attachment points
5 minute crafts: "cool, useless, we need this!
I love your channel
Riley next can you PLEASE make the level 3 R.I.G. helmet from Dead Space 1?
(Please reply!) your builds and creations are so great but, where do you get the parts??? buying a whole set for one or two blocks wouldn't be ideal so, you would have to order them online. is there any recomendations for reliable and cheap sites?

Brick science you should make a feeder when you eat your cereal
yo that’s amazing!!!
I love the build
