Just picked up the 100ml parfum and I'm in love. A perfect approachable masculine scent. Sadly my wife doesn't enjoy it as much as I do, her response was "smells like something you would like." I hope it grows on her.
@@AJ-sj7qx hopefully it grows on your wife too. I think what my wife doesn't like is the initial spray. The scent becomes a lot smoother around the mid for me.
I was given 2 samples of this when I bought Savage elixir. It is very addictive fragrance. Preforms amazing on skin. I had a little extra cash after rent and bills so I went all in and bought the 100ml. No regrets .
I bought Ombre leather from a reputable retailer on sale, If I didn't have a sample to compare the juice to I would've thought it was a fake. The Atomiser is so bad for a fragrance in this price range.
Yup, bad atomizers, crooked labels, cheap boxes and wiggly bottle lids... Makes it hard to bite when the presentation is so poor. TF is one of the only houses I've bought from reputable sources that had me second-guessing the authenticity. I have Perry Ellis bottles with better atomizers!
I’m a woman and worked in fragrance shop. I didn’t like the scent at the beginning but somehow I got addicted to it. This is the only scent can calm my mood. And I don’t need to wear this to please anybody, I please myself. I love it.
Tom Ford Ombre Leather Parfum, let me count the ways! I love the versatility of this fragrance, from the office to the club, its my favorite from TF's signature line. Great review Ash..
The EDP is better - the Parfum is noticeably less loud and softer, so could be worn for more occasions, but in all honesty i love the EDP so much i would wear it for all occasions...! It's that good..! One thing i will say, when i compared both, i found the Parfum to be like a 'cheaper' version of the EDP as it was more subtle, which some may like, but as i love the EDP sp much i just wouldn't compromise of that fantastic scent...!!
This one is a lovely leather fragrance i brought this earlier this year i think this is the nicest leather fragrance I've had it lasts on my skin about 10 hours and it keeps pushing off i get whiffs of it for an entire 8 hour shift at work and by the end of the shift it starts to sit closer but I'm pretty sure if i didn't shower after work I'd probably still be able to smell this the next morning it is a good performer and it's a more people friendly leather scent in my opinion
I got gifted the Parfum but gave it away because i thought Ombre Leather edp was already a wearable version of the private blend one, but I can’t find myself to wear the edp as often as I want to
I bought both the Parfum and original, however I preferred the original because I found that it lasts longer than the Parfum which I found a bit odd. Both are equally amazing, but I ended up gifting the Parfum and kept the original.
I have both the Parfum and EDP (Black label), they’re both amazing. I bought the Parfum first, it was my first “leather” fragrance and a great entry for anyone on the fence. It wasn’t long after until I went back and also purchased Ombré Leather. They both perform like crazy, will last ALL day. The Parfum is much easier to wear especially as I mentioned if you’re in the fence about leather, but I wear them both equally now just depends on my mood. Good to see you finally checking this one out, they’re both worth owning full bottles of.
Jamie would you suggest spraying either fragrance on your body or more on your clothes instead? I noticed most men like this fragrance of leather more than women so am curious where you think this smell is better on skin or clothes?
Misha, for me I prefer to spray on skin but do sometimes spray on clothes in addition to skin. Some fragrances react differently on skin, in a good way, so I prefer it. But ombré leather doesn’t have a big change on skin vs clothes in my opinion.
buy the edp and compare it to the parfum, i personally prefer the edp. it stands out more than the parfum. id say the parfum is a ore wearable version to the edp.
I just tried this at Macys. I am in love with this fragrance. I literally could not stop smelling my wrist where they sprayed it on. I want a bottle but that price is ridiculous.
@@RexEisenHaxival the 1.7 floz/50ml bottle goes for $150 nornally but what people are doing is buying the Cologne Sampler pack from Sephora. It's $72 but it comes with a certificate that you can exchange for a 50ml bottle of Ombre Leather, free of charge. That's how I got mine.
@@Daggerfall40 I've read about that, it's a great deal although I found one that's arguably better. It's the newer Parfum version in the 100 ml bottle for around $146. I'm more tempted towards this one mainly because I like having 100 ml bottles better and also because I've smelled most of the fragrances in the bundle and none really suits my taste (although I never tried Margiela fragrances)
I'm a big fan of the Ombre Leather EDP.. But the Parfum didn't really do it for me. It's nice, but it seems to be a bit too floral in comparison to the original Ombre Leather. It seems that they focused more on making it smoother, lighter and a bit more floral. In comparison, I think that Costa Azzura Parfum, Black Orchid Parfum and Noir Extreme Parfum went for a deeper scent. The Parfum has been popping up at the Estee Lauder outlets for a steep discount lately. The last time I went, it was 50% off, plus an extra 20% off (about 80 bucks total, for the 3.4 oz)
Ash u should do a battle or comparison video on a Vintage heavy hitter of a frag vs something newish in the same class of a Vintage blue vs newer blue frag or say the Classic Vintage Polo in the green bottle vs a newer more modern version or something similar ? Just a thought. I bought a few Vintage bottles of Polo and it brought back so many memories.
I kicked the tires on the Parfum as I have the original. I am so glad I bought the Parfum. It’s lighter than the original. Fantastic release. Great review Ash as always.
The parfum is smoother than the EDP but I kinda dont really like the iris heart note. I find it more feminine and it reminds me of fresh cat litter wich isnt good haha. The late notes are not bad at all, but the EDP is better on that aspect too in my opinion.
I’ve had this fragrance since last year. Never worn it. Smells like new Jordans. After hearing how you described it. I just might. And yes it’s definitely expensive.
I love leather fragrances, first time i smelled one that was heavy on the leather was about a month ago when I bought Lattafa Velvet Oud. Since then I also purchased Afnan Rare Carbon and Tom Ford Ombré Leather. For special occasions I intend to wear Tom Ford and for more regular use Rare Carbon. The Velvet Oud is for when I want to be trigger happy and overspray at home just to smell it everywhere. They all smell different at first sprays but I think they become very similar when they dry down. Greetings from Sweden.
I have been wearing Cremo Vintage Suede a clone of this fragrance. It is the one i get the most compliments from! I was thinking of picking up Tom Ford but I'm going with Cremo Vintage Suede for the price point!
Sprayed Tom Ford’s Ombré Leather EDP on left wrist, Tom Ford Ombré Leather Parfum on right wrist from store. Went home, the wife’s nose went up for EDP 👎🏼, her eyes opened up smelling the Parfum 👍🏼. I also preferred the Parfum over the EDP. Went back to the store and purchased a 100ml of the Parfum.
I spray it in my car more than I sprayed on myself.. people think the car smells that way because of the leather in the TF.. I honestly think it smells better in the car than it does on a person
To me it smells very similar to the 16, I have both and while I love this fragrance it doesn't come until it's own for a couple of days it seems as if it's quite cloying when first sprayed and could turn people off.. I spray it inside of a leather phone case that I have and it smells great for 2 months it's just that it doesn't smell good when first sprayed, while I love it it's still a waste of money because you can't spray it on and go right out of the house
I want to dabble in Tom ford and get at least a couple for myself to wear but I simply can’t afford it . 😅😂 it’s okay. Staying i my financial lane. Happy your enjoying it, I’m sure it’s good
Ash will spend a quarter of the video talking about presentation, bottles, and atomizers on clone fragrances and cheapies, but he let an expensive Tom Ford frag off the hook for a cheap looking bottle and subpar atomizer.
The problem with TF fragrances is the lack of projection and sillage. In love the way that TF Fragrances smell but for the price tag I’m beginning to lean towards different houses.
I will never understand for the life of me the hype around any TF leather fragrances. It's just a rubber smell in a bottle. Most blind, honest reviews on YT from regular people match my experience.
