Matpat, what Mr. Hippo is trying to say to you is: That you gotta leave the story alone. Like mr hippo said: A story is just story. You just gotta read it, and enjoy it! Don't try to go deeper in the story. You just have to accept that the fnaf timeline can't be beaten. Mr. Hippo wants you to move on. You gotta move on, Matpat. Like Mr. Hippo said: Life goes on, and if you keep trying to figure out the timeline, like Mr. Hippo said again: If you keep trying, you'll just drive yourself crazy and he had a friend do it once and he said they talked about it for years. Matpat, what Mr. Hippo wants you to do is move on with your life. You've gotta stop worrying about the past, and make your own future.
I actually really like his story's cause he reminds me of my grandpa before he passed away. He would tell me story's for hours, he would even say sometimes "uh, what was I saying?" And I would start laughing my butt off. I miss him and I'm really happy that I can take a break and listen to Mr. Hippos story's, they make me happy.
I just realized, what if the friend he talks about in speech 1 who "lost it" going over every little detail and finding meaning in everything is actually a reference to Matpat?
Literally every other character: makes a goofy saying or something to do with lore meanwhile mr hippo: rambling about birds and sweat tea with lemonade
I was feeling really sad and stressed out and Mr. Hippo made me feel better. He's like a friend that wants to make me feel better by telling me a story. I don't know how to explain it but once he started talking, since I memorized some of his lines I was saying them with him and it just makes me feel better.
Same, but to think that he probably turned into animatronic way before it gives you something peaceful to relate to and he’s still human unlike the others
Mr. Hippo would be the nicest friend to ever have. He’s so literal, and relaxing. He gets strait to the point. He’s a very nice, and soothing person. All respect goes out to him.
Unlike what Mr.Hippo says in speech 4, everything he says is of importance. It is obvious he is talking with William Afton, but there is a deeper meaning in his stories of talking with Orville. In the first speech, he is talking to the FNAF theorists who nitpick every little thing. I mean Scott is talking through Mr. Hippo about this. He says that maybe a game creator just creates games for fun. He tells them to just ease off, and go along for the ride. In Speech 2, there are three or four things happening here. Mr Hippo gives clues to fill in the missing lore, even though the lore has ended in FNAF 6 (more specifically, the ending of the lore is when William, Ennard, Charlotte, and Elizabeth burn with Henry talking over the intercom). Mr Hippo talks to William with significance, basically telling there’s no hope for him, even in this afterlife. Scott, through Mr. Hippo, talks to FNAF Theorists, specifically everybody’s favourite MatPat, that maybe everything they’re doing to find out the lore is practically insane, and one day, might even become wrong. He also talks to everyone, giving them a philosophical meaning of his creations, the loops he’s put in them, and death itself- “Maybe it doesn’t mean anything at all.” Speech 3 is hard to decipher, but it really is telling us two things. One is to William Afton, saying that this is basically what he deserves, and with Orville’s breadcrumb and frozen birds scenario, that us theorists should think out of the box. We shouldn’t nitpick, but instead search a wider range of possibilities. We’ve already seen that with the books, that elements of the stories are Canonically (not continually), related to the lore in the games. Speech 4 is Scott saying that he has accidentally lied in the past about some things from the series having some lore significance. He also calls out the people who make fan made games, which have lore behind them. He says that people won’t care, unless you really have a true, solid, and juicy story to tell. Five Nights At Candy’s is a good fan made game which ticks all of the above. Scott could also be talking to a new generation of game developers, who want to create a juicy game, or even a story, and Scott is telling them, that there needs to be a proper story for their game or story to succeed. At least, this is what I think of all four speeches.
I find it ironic that Scott spent 4 years putting the most convoluted and meaningless story together in his games only to, in the end, call out the people in his audience who were trying to figure it out. If you didn't have anything to say and are disappointed that people thought you did, all you did was waste those people's time.
Scott should straight up just make a game about Mr Hippo...without and life threatening situations and without any jump scares just him sitting in a lounge or something and telling us stories about him and Ortho then at the end of the game he tells us it's time for bed as he takes us to our rooms and tucks us in....hes a very peaceful guy ya know?
It's like he jumpscares you, then instead of killing you, he pulls up a chair and then proceeds to tell you stories about him and Orville for eleven minutes straight, and THEN kills you.
Maybe he just damages you and while you are wounded he puts a chair infront of your desk and sits and tells a story while you just listen. Then you die.
Mr. Hippo talks the way I write. When I write I constantly go off track and then I end up writing an entire paragraph or two about something because I briefly mentioned it in a paragraph. This always caught the attention of my teachers.

Afton killed a guy for being too annoying, stuffed him into Mr. Hippo, and hoped that it would shut him up for good. But even after death, he still has his stories to tell, and will continue to tell them to afton
Surprisingly, I can relate to him... I also spend a lot of time explaining a very intricate story (or just a thought) to my friends and family members, or just myself (I do that quite often) and by the moment I stoped talking, my friend, or whomever I was talking to, would say: so what are you explaining, and I would be astonished. I just couldn't remember anymore... But there's a thing different from Mr. Hippo and me. I am not an old person (or an animatronic for that matter). I'm a very young person so my conversations tend to be even worst since I "don't" have too much experience on life (and the quotation marks because of the fact that I might have but not to certain type of people), so when I speak the older people they tend to just interrupt. They believe I'm wrong, but that's just perspective. I might actually have knowledge of stuff others don't have... So yeah, I can relate to Mr. Hippo

"I said to Orville, I said, and this is what I said to him, I said..." -Mr. Hippo
Hippo
I could seriously listen to him ramble all day, he has one of the most relaxing voices ever
Mr Hippo is like your grandpa, with lots of stories to tell.
Is it weird that I like listening to this?
Did anyone try the half tea half lemonade mix mr. Hippo recommended?
MrUnderToon I try once
It tasted gud
Tried it since then it was my favorite drink i say thank you Mr Hippo
Now I wanna try it-
I’m gonna try it:)

I love his storys, it's like a late night podcast, I wish there were more of them, I like the one about feeding the ducks the sour bread crumbs
The way he gesticulates and moves his head while talking totally looks like me explaining something and I'm: Uncomfy
Yeah Mr Hippo is one of my favorite character of all time
6:38 this is my favorite part of the story, was Mr. Hippo on the right? Or he was on the left? Or the right?
Because of you, now I enjoy it as well.
I like his speech, it's so inspiring
THE LAST STORY HE TOLD WAS HIM DESCRIBING HIMSELF TELLING THE *"STORY"*
Its so relaxing to hear him talk :)
