I am a big Mmusi fan.
It is a privilege to listen to the sane sensible statements made by Mmusi Maimane. With people of his caliber in our government we the people of South Africa can make the dream of a true rainbow nation come true.
Am a Ugandan but staying in South Africa, I kind of get emotional listening to Maimane, he is such a great character. I wish there was any possibility to hire his expertise to run my country Uganda. Am proud to be African. ❤❤❤❤
You are a political novice. You can't compare Yoweri with Mmusi. The one is a true African leader, the other a western puppet.
Please take him. He can be your resurrected Idiot Amin
And as a South African im proud to love you my African blood❤, i love Museveni i think hs better than the corrupt elder here in SA
You should also know that there’s absolutely no difference between him, Cyril and Herman! Well, I wish you well my friend 😂
What is so special about Maimane? Any African that joins the DA can’t be that bright. I hope you are not allowed to vote! Zims, Ugandans etc must not be allowed to vote.
Mmusi is really smart. Enjoyed the interview
So much more impressive than Steenhuisen of the DA . Although I have mostly voted for the DA in the past, this time my national vote is for BOSA, and the Provincial vote for the DA who clearly have the only successful track record of governing. I hope that I will see a BOSA inspired and partially led future national administration as a well-educated 72 year old white male.
Had the DA kept Mmusi by now, they would have been a government in waiting. What a missed opportunity.
They couldn’t keep him because he left. Any African who joins a racist apartheid party like the DA can’t be that bright or clever and will never be taken seriously by me
The DA has many very young and very talented leaders of all races across SA!!
Having warched the inspirationsl Arte tv Documentary about Mayor ChrisvPappas (32) of uMngeni Municipality and his Deputy Mayor, Sandile Mnikathi (28) on TH-cam, the DA is by far the most progressive, the most compassionate and the most experienced choice to take SA and the Multi Party Charter forward in 2024!!
Zille was the problem
@@janetbrann I agree. She missed a great opportunity. I doubt another one will ever come by.
@masauso100 HZ never wanted Mmusi to leave the DA and in fact asked him repeatedly to stay on in Parliament after he resigned!
I think Mmusi 's emotions got the better of him and he made a bad decision, which hurt both him and the DA!!
His star would definitely have risen again if he has stayed on in the DA, due to his many talents and charisma!!
Thank you Sizwe for giving us the best of Maimane I enjoyed to whole interview. All the best to BOSA.
Mmusi is an impressive, mature, and thoughtful leader with a profound grasp of public administration, politics, and economic challenges. He excels as a listener, offering direct and honest responses. He demonstrates a nuanced understanding of the complexities of governance, avoiding overhyping his proposals. His arguments are logical and well-supported, and he refrains from resorting to rhetorical attacks on opposing leaders. I enjoyed this interview.
Great qualities! Unfortunately, not required or appreciated in the dirty game of politics.
A breath of fresh air❤
Exactly 💯 Musi Myimane ,never walk alone, make SA feel their sence of belonging. I've dmired you since DA's days, you have in the making a Great Leader 👍
Great interview. Wish you all the best BOSA. I'm happy with the answers Maimane gave
I'm hoping more level headed politicians like Mmusi and Corne lead these coalition discussions. There will be hope if there's unity

So inspiring to hear rational and logical discussion. I have great respect for Mmusi
A solution oriented leader, just what SA needs! He brings forth wealth of knowldge and experience.

Wow this is a proper president but people are too blind to see
We need a prayerful politician as God is the centre of our lives. He rules and owns this world. He sits on the throne
God has no place in politics
I never get bored listening to Mmusi
I am actually willing to offer them my vote on a provisional level and will see what they can do but i had sided with DA before because of Mmusi and hope to see him in parliament again
Maimane is very intelligence and mature
Well said Mr Maimane! I salute you!
Viva Mmusi...people like you give for me (as n white afican) hope with the way you see the future of SA.
What a beautiful interview
Great stuff indeed💯
Sizwe Mpofuwalsh great 👍 insight in the line of questioning ,which is you intelligent and a man with a vision. Greatness of Musi must definitely pass onto you. 👌 Greatly appreciate your show Sizwe 🙏 ❤️ 🙌
I agree. The constitution of a party should not be allowed to supersede that of the country. Also, our SA constitution should be reviewed, since in some instances it betrays the rights of our citizens...
There is a change and a better feel when Professionals tackle politics. Go ! YOUNG professionals, the Country needs you. Don’t let Malema sell the Country to other African countries who are quiet about selling to South Africa.
Argh, I love Mmusi Maimane, always refreshing listening to him. I really admire the passion and seriousness he has towards our education system. I think he would make a brilliant Minister of Education. Indeed a good, quality education system can be the key to success. (side note: love the fact that both of them are Liverpool fans! Mmusi for President🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣)
This guy is a great orator and thinker. I think he wants a European/American model of democracy for South Africa. I think he is more on the conservative side than the democratic side of political viewpoints. I agree that he will side with private interests to maintain their economic power over the nature resources and control of the economy with an agreement that they have to fund the expansion of government to make schools more equitable, invest in infrastructure, keep land under privatization but invest in government land, and other initiatives which will keep the status quo overall. I think he personally will not be corrupt but will not challenge the massive corporate corruption cabals which exist in the country. So overall I think he could help SA move forward somewhat but the basic structure of the government will stay the same.
Probably, making the pie bigger might be better than destroying it in the long run
This is the first interview I’ve actually enjoyed watching ya Mmusi Maimane. 🤞🏽👌🏽
Another weekend, another episode. Another day of me being happy and informed
He has failed the nation
You are...THE MAN FOR PRESIDENT Mmusi.💪👊
I'm worried about the youth. Please look after them. Not we that are almost dying. I vote so the youth our future people, will have what they wanted for so long. Our youth are my warries.
Sizwe Leo, you are unbiased King, and I can respect that, SALUTE! You have given everyone a platform, from Malema to Mulder #IBELIEVE #SMWX
My President, Mmusi Maimane
Exactly 💯 Sizwe, agree on a strong opposition opposition party in parliament. May that party be successful Come may 2024 elections.
So sad that all these wonderful minds cannot walk together to oust the ANC.....
South Africa needs a complete new system
We should be voting for every official
No more polititions or political party
I hold the same view, they propose a vote of no confidence, we go vote again. this thing of seeing them after 5 years does not work

Eloquent in language and speech....good inclusive idea... definitely a young & mature president.
He loves English and hates our black languages. He is not fit for us.
Thina Sizwe👏👏👏, always giving us the best. This is the best version of Mr Maimane, but I do feel he has unsettled scores with Pres JZ🤣. He is open minded about the future, that is positive. Thanks again for the great interview
Truth is the way forward , and every one who stands for the truth.are guided by positive attitude and principles.
Love the start today, my son too a Liverpool fan. We need more sober minded impactful leaders, analytical, and high levels of emotional intelligence with the citizens' as foremost priority.
Informative and brings much hope for the future. 👌🏾
Mmusi Maimane has come across as a deep thinker and someone who cares for this country. All the best to him and his party.
Mr Maimane .Liverpool fan!! Yessss!!
I don't understand how the DA has ended up with John Steenhuisen when this man could have clearly positioned himself as a figure head of an anti-anc coalition.
Look at the scoreboard! Maimane couldn't deliver votes ... therefore another leader took over!
I cannot imagine Mmusi expropriating land without compensation
He wouldn't dare, he's not for the left and he's not a revolutionary.
He will never his funded by land owners you can't expropriate land from your funders
He will not. We tend to forget that this sellout led DA.
no i don't think he will. he believes in capitalism it looks like. these guys don't understand that we must first turn into zimbabwe before we can start being prosperous one day in the future, things are already getting better now in Zim

@@robsgonesailingHey lighty, you cant balkanise Africa like your ancestors did. Apartheid is gone, get over it.
@@thabo3866 Wish S A a good election out come , is MAIMANE a parliamentary candidate❓
Mmusi Maimane has the perfect mannerisms and personality of being the President of SA.
I really do not understand this mantra people sing that oppositions must unite. Mmusi himself left the ANC and joined the DA, not the PAC, AZAPO, UDM, IFP not even the ACDP as he a staunch Christian.
This is not attack to Mmusi, he is my fellow kasie man, we grew up together e Dobsie(Dobsonville) and Mmusi is a decent human being, even though he left i kasie he is still down to earth, I really love him as a person.
However, I am driving a point that there is a reason why the thinking that opposition parties must unite does not not make sense.
Let me draw the attention again to Mmusi, he left the DA with Trollip and Mashaba followed, Mashaba and others established ActionSA, they invited Trollip and Mmusi, Trollip join the ActionSA whilst Mmusi did not accept the invitation. Why?
Why did Mmusi not unite with Mashaba, and then expect that they can better unite after Mmusi has formed a party, a party that has differeces with both the DA and the ActionSA, and both these parties have differences with the EFF, PAC, ATM and AZAPO?
The answer is simple, parties reflects our societies but totally exaggerated the dufferences we have as a society and makes it very difficult to deal with them and or resolve.
This reminds me of the phyicists trying to find a theory of everything, tha explains the physics of the entire universe in a single equation. Maybe there is but I doubt that.
I would not want to go in the obvious ideological challenges when it comes to why the opposition will never unite without compromising they core political principles, eg immigration, reposession/expropriation of the land, BEE, etc.
Another issue that this topic of uniting the opposition ignore, is the dynamics of their constituencies, one may ask, is it the masses that call for a unity of the opposition, or the elites and their media.
The majority of our masses are indebted to the ANC and or the view politics different, to some of them is a matter of Pirates and Chiefs, this then needs unbaised systems out of the political parties to make them aware of how they should change the way they view politics and political parties.
Without making the masses aware that political parties are like supermarkets, no costumer who wants to save money and get the best deal on their shopping should tell themselves that, no matter what, they will buy at Checkers even if its prices have gone up.
The citizens must be taught not allow political parties own them, they should be neutral and then be convinced by facts on who to vote for, instead of joining political parties, because if they do, they will loose their honest judgement and defend a party no matter what.
This is the problem, not the opposition, the problem is that political parties operates not like salesmen but like gangsters, recruiting people to join them as if people are homogeneous and everyone must agree with everything in their political party.
The second problem is the mult-party system which encourages the mushrooming of many political parties. Anyone can create a political party and register it.
The last problem is how democracy is run internationally which makes it undemocratic, ie commercializing democracy, only the ideas of those parties with funding can be heard, and those that are ignored or are nit attracting the funders are not heard.
Commercialising democracy is destorts democracy, removes equity in a democratic process and worst it opens up political parties to be captured by thise they are suppose to regulate in behalf of the citizens.
The problem is not that oppositions lacks unity, that is why BOSA, EFF etc was established, because it did not agree with the udeas of ActionSA, UDM, ACDP etc.
They can unite all they like, but they must remember that not even once the unity of the opposition has ever successfully passed any resolution against the ruling party, united they failed to win a Yes vote against Ramaphosa in parliament.
Too long can’t read
Problem with small parties they fight each other. The biggest problem there can only be one president everyone said I gonna be the president.SA are the only country in the world with more than 200parties that why we fall apart 4parties that's all lots of salaries that's why the country is in the ground
That's a scientific and well thought of analysis of the SA politics, what made him to choose a party that is ideologically opposed to fredom of our people. I still maintain, I do not see a liberator, instead a pacifier in anything and/ or anyone related to DA. That is why that even parties like Inkatha will lose a lot for association with people who are anti equity, and not the European defined freedom of tar road politics and load-shedding. You will get free potholes streets then what? Our problems are not service delivery related, insteda ideologically related. A country told by Europeans not to use coal to generate, yet it is importing the same coal. Thise are treu issues in Soith Africa, not the Wimpy discussions these politicians are entertaining with the people who think like them.
When I met Mmusi in September 2018 at the MEIndaba, I told him he'd be President one day - not in 2019, but later. As unlikely as that seems to some, I stand by it. Mmusi seems to have grown into his authentic self, and into his divinity, and he finally seems to understand servant leadership.
This is not a platform for essays my man. Maimane does not represent blacks, full stop!
I have faith in you mtshana wakwa Gubevu

I agree with Musi on Zuma issue here, anyway good luck SA
As South African, I cannot understand how DA did not recognize Mmusi’s leadership. Total loss of opportunity too stuck in the past. Gayton is another person that should be part of the leadership but the DA seems to prefer loosing ground, embrace a diverse representation of the population.
Truth Gayton should definatly be involved in Government
Mr maimane makes a strong sensible point, but what happens if the ANC will not concede?

Mmusi will never lead this country. You hope on him is based on nothing. EFF MUST LEAD THE COUNTRY OR NOTHING.

I think he is one of those who can make a reasonable President. He is a Presidential type.
i agree that parties must unite. if parties are power hungry, then that party cannot lead South Africa. If a party brings division, chaos or disorder, then you are not fit to lead South Africa. If however parties are willing to restore, fix and correct laws (especially schools) and above all...parties that can work together to restore ....then we have hope for this land. MEDIA MUST DRIVE THESE CONVERSATIONS. Power hungry, greedy leaders. who are there for themselve...must be removed...they must fall

Agreed, opposition needs to unite. We need multi party diversity team from across SA. We need whites, coloured, Asians, African as well as the Koi-San.
Maimane should join the ANC. He is very smart and could bring the positive energy needed in the country.
The ANC is important and must lead because SA can't afford apprenticeship. The world is going through terrible challenges.
Mmusi, should consider working with EFF.
They might have differences but they both have capacity to transform many sectors
Whilst it is important for opposition parties to find common grounds driven only by what South Africa needs, at the Sametime, I am amongst many good South Africans who believe that South Africa does not need to be lead by criminals/despots and those seeking to devide us using race as their arguments.
