- EFF leader, Julius Malema is an advocate for redistributing land and argues that only white supremacists believe the party and its policies are anti-white.
Some of the priorities of the party include the expropriation of land without compensation and the nationalisation of strategic sectors of the economy.
Good Morning Cape Town presenter, Lester Kiewit interviews Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema about the party's plan ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Nationalization is the process of taking privately-controlled companies, industries, or assets and putting them under the control of the government. He has flip-flopped once again. He intends to create a state-owned bank(African Bank is already a state-owned bank), state-owned mines(AEMFC already exists). Not sure what the reality of the land is about anymore. I might be ANC 🇿🇦 but the EFF and it's Leader and COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF (CIC) reasoning and debating SKILLS are absolutely 💯 "SUPERIOR"
I agree with him on having public and private owned entities. This competition will bring down prices and break up current monopolies. He might not get the vote, but it doesn't mean that he doesn't have good ideas. I hope whoever governs after May at least listens to the other leaders in the country.

@@lightningRatPack The private sector is already cutting jobs as technology advances without any nationalization in mining and finance. As the private sector always does, it will adapt and evolve. The consumer needs the financial relief. Yes profit margins will not be as extensive for the elite, but that’s not a bad thing in the greater scheme of things. The first thing that comes to mind is the excessive fees in banking. A state-owned bank will challenge the monopoly of the banks in South Africa and make it more accessible for the majority. Have you considered how much of our population cannot afford to bank because of fees? Secondly, state-owned banks can challenge the monopoly of investment firms in our country. Investment firms that manage the bulk of the pensions of people working in the public sector. No-one wins except for the investment bankers. Imagine if this could be different. In mining, we can challenge De Beers’ domination of our diamonds. We can build our own smelters to export finished goods at a premium instead of concentrates and raw ore. Whether we like it or not, our country is owned internationally and prices/markets are fixed for the largest part to make profits in international currencies. The South African consumer always ends up paying the cost.
