It's crazy to me that he didn't build armor sooner, like picking up chainvest right after triforce or even after sheen. It would have prevented all those near death experiences with Garen. He would have had a comfortable extra few hundred health each time he was below 100 health to a Garen combo. So would Garen but who cares since he blew his combo and he'll die in the next q or two anyway. Despite all the close calls he never died because of his perfect play, very impressive.
chain vest is 800 gold thats basically sheen or a cdr item like kindlegem if you win lane its always better not to build tank items + nasus gets to start stacking earlier
@@grubbygrub8332 Yes so the damage you get from 800 gold besides upgrading to trinity is pretty negligible. The raw power of armor is massive, 40% effective hp vs garen. AND lifesteal also greatly increases the value of the armor because the health regained is more valuable. This Nasus player is just so smart he can get away with building greedily.
@@SlimeGod666 He wasn't hard winning lane comfortably though, he was almost dying to Garen quite a few times despite his lead because he didn't build armor. Armor is very effective against champions that deal one type of damage and even more effective against champions that must do that damage within a single combo or two. Since nasus vamps so much life in between garen combos the armor value would be immense and there's no way 200hp and 10% cdr is better than 40 armor which is 40% more effective hp to all Garen damage except his ult of course. The Garen armor shred on his spin only applies to the last few ticks of the spin so the majority of damage is mitigated at full effectiveness. So being that much stronger would allow him to stack much easier as well.

nasus passive gives lifesteal, so damage not only makes susan deal more damage but also (slightly) more tanky
