To me the main reason that others like to copy Gan Cube is all because of they can make a similar hardware but in a much lower price, which is much more affordable!
The Frosted Finish = Gan's mistake of over-copying phone trends
Matte is good for phones, but cubes need to be glossy.
Frosted wasnt introduced by gan. It was done by Yuxin

Gan is the icon in the past, but recently when other manufacturer start to catch up with their more competitive pricing, cubers can get the most bang for the buck from their purchase. It's good for new cubers especially of they are kids need to rely on parents money

5:55 Primary internals have been around for a while now, cubes like the Tengyuns or the Valk Elite/Power all have primary plastic and they were released before the 11 pro.
Black internals are better than primary

I don't like Gan's pricing in general anyway. I even find the $45 11M Duo to be overpriced... let alone the other flagships.
I'll keep saying it:
$100 is the price of a budget phone. I prefer buying that over a small plastic toy that only the top solvers have a high chance of getting that money back.

Hey, how would I go about using vortex to lube the core of a Gan 11 m Pro? I plan on buying vortex and speed cube lube, and already have a Gan 11 m Pro, but idk of I can use vortex on it considering there's no screw and the springs are in a thing
That was a terrific roundup and analysis. Thank you. GAN is indeed the Apple of cubing in so many ways, and that's a high compliment. In addition to their innovation, I like their attention to detail and their quality. I still buy other cubes, mostly out of curiosity, but I wish they would start offering UV finishes. Oh right, then they would cost more.

great video besides the part where you said apple influenced other companies to adopt the qi wirless charging standard. it was around for years and years beforehand and apple was the last major company to adopt it (sorry this just really ticked me off) other than that gj ari!

Lockdown- Many many cube companies have started during quarantine time during covid (factors like unemployment, creative ideas) led to this
Pressure- To be 'as successful as a gan' cube many companies lost their originality to be good like gan cubes
Every time a new GAN cube comes out I hope it is cheaper than previous years. There isn’t an excuse for it other than being money grabbing

I think gan has top tier 3x3 but that's literally it. Their 2x2 are extremely overpriced and their 4x4 and upward options suffer compared to cheaper options. So in terms of 3x3, the main reason I get gan cubes is because not only are they really good, although really expensive, they offer decent customization, and I don't like the colors and designs of a lot of other cubes

If the new GAN cubes have capped pieces on both the stickered and stickerless cube, why can't the black caps from a stickered cube replace a colored cap on a stickerless cube? At least that's what I was told from the customer service department. I am red-green colorblind and I would like to replace the green face with black. Also...I don't really like stickered cubes.

I think they talk about primary as something that gan made, but that is wrong. For i know the first speedcube that was primary is the valk elite m and maybe the valk 3m also, and if i am wrong correct me please. About other things like adjustable magnets GAN copy it from yuexiao EDM, so looks like that 2 tech arent from Gan. About the compression in the 356 for me is nice i think, but for this moment i think all brands have their own way to adjust screw and spring or malgev compression. Like moyu with their weird (for me) like gear xd, the tornado with maybe the best system ever, and Gan have the new Ges Pro, also with the Ges of center piece, but i think most of people dont like it. And for me in future all companies will adopt the core-magnets system, cause it looks very promising, at least for me.
the first primary cube that was made as a flagship was the valk power. valk elite is primary, original valk is not
