I feel the reason it comes so loose out of the box is the same reason apple sets the computer angles at there stores so awkward. When you adjust the cube it makes you feel closer to the cube and like it’s completely made for you.
Yeah, love the change up in format. These two are really close, it would take some time setting up and solving to really get to an answer... But I do like my cubes set up as loose/fast as possible.
Yea, most people complain about not having it nearby, but I’m just wondering why that’s a big deal as some people make it out to be. Sure, the idea of another tool might be inconvenient, but if im bringing cubes to a comp, I will probably have a bag or a case and just throw in the tool anyways… And when I’m at home, it will probably just be on the desk. And for GAN’s previous center caps, idk how some people think they are easy to remove. Compared to MoYu caps, they are so tight and difficult to remove and they hurt my fingernails. Personally, I really like the tool
i like the new format and the video was really great. only thing i want to point out is the music was a little loud and at the very start was honestly quite annoying and seemed like someone was playing a piano for the first time. i feel like music at around 5:24 fits a bit better.
Reason I felt in love with 14 PRO vs regular 14 is *exacly* that strong auto-alignment accompanied by ... oily? Feel. I see why not everyone can be into it, but overall both cubes seem to be truly good.
I own and have used every GAN flagship released, and I’m one that actually enjoys the regular 14 quite a lot after getting used to it. (GAN’s are generally a looser and faster cube out of the box) …But the 14 Pro is the first time I thought I actually got a defective cube upon first turns due to how loose and uncontrollable it was. Even on the tightest setting available, I still feel it is too loose. This is coming from someone who likes fast cubes. I feel GAN needs to tune the range of tightness on their newer cubes. The stock feel out of box should be the loosest settings possible and only tighter all the way down from there.
I have north of 5,000 solves on my GAN 14, which I bought right as it was launched. I made a review of it too - but I've never ever had it popping on me. I've tried a bunch of different settings/combinations, but it's probably due my turning style being lighter than the people who've had it popping...?
I actually panicked when cameron started swivelling them around on the table like BRUH ur literally not gunna be able to tell them apart but then they mentioned centre caps 😮💨
Since cubes are based on preferences, there isn’t a “better” option. Personally, I would pick the WRM V10, but it all comes down to which one matches your turning style better. ~Noah
I really only almost had a pop once on the 14 (non pro) because I was turning really really badly and had new tensions/distance settings and was not used to that on top of the sloppy turning… Might skip the pro and wait for the 15 instead….
Man, to say the cube is too fast, you have to test it on the tightest spring/maglev setting, and that's 6 for Gan 14. You used what, 3 and 3? That's definitely really loose for Gan 14. I main a Gan 14, and I use 1 for distance (tightest) and 4 for maglev, sometimes 5. It's fast but controllable enough for me. It doesn't pop on 1 or 2, at least with my turning, but at distance 4-6 it does. I don't really recommend the Gan 14 because for such a price a cube must be flawless. Even though I main one, I can't say it's worth the price - for me, it's marginally better than, say, the RS3M v5 BC, but the price is a few times higher. I don't recommend upgrading to the Pro unless you really really really like the feel of the cube but absolutely want to use it on loose travel distance setting like 4 to 6. And if you want to take advantage of the discounted price, choose Pro if you know you like loose distance, and choose the regular 14 if you know you can turn pretty accurately and can enjoy a Gan cube on pretty tight distance. In any case, Gan cubes aren't the most forgiving, and if you want a really forgiving cube, rather get a Moyu.
@@SpeedCubeShopOfficial My point is, if it's reasonable speed at maglev setting 5 or 6, then it's usable. And it will slow down with breaking in too. Plus lube.
I’m not speedcubeshop, but I think you should learn full pll. I’m almost sub 20, and I’m full pll, 2 look f2l, and not great f2l. In other words, practice practice practice. Hope this helps.
learn full pll, make sure cross is 8 moves or less, insert f2l pairs into the back, try to have good recognition, don't rotate too much for f2l, every case can be solved with 1 rotation or less I think, do untimed solves where you try to figure out efficient ways to insert pairs (some of this stuff might be kinda advanced for sub 25 idk it's been a while since i was around there but this should work) hope this helps
Just to say. Be very careful with the V3. It has worse durability compared to gan and will break much easier. I have dropped my gan 13 from 4+ feet over 25 times. It is kinda damaged inside and has a decent amount of noticable scratches. However, nothing too bad. (I have a gan 14 now and i am being super careful with it, it has no scratches.) Tornado v3 corner magnet broke after dropping it from like 2 feet on accident once.

Actually, the tool for removing the caps is very useful. because , gancube that I have was damaged due to me pulling the caps too hard.
It’s definitely useful! Just a tad inconvenient to have to have it nearby

I didn't expect the cube to be loose out of the box, also I liked the new tool! It saves our fingernails!

Money. The change was the amount of money it cost.
All this is telling me is that even Gan is running out of ideas to innovate.
We are at the era of refinement.
As much as the Gan 14 is cool, the price is through the roof.

Interesting how you guys didnt really like it, since a lot of pros are actually switching to it like yiheng, matty, and ruihang just to name a few.
