Absolutely love this album, one of my favourites.
this album was released the day i was born, amazing release
This is a very unique form of BM, i would love to see more bands play in this style.
Originally every black metal band was unique.. think how different Burzum is to let say Mayhem. Immortal and Gorgoroth. Emperor. Darkthone all of them has very different vocals, sounds and imagery, but still black metal.
@@densaakaldte1 well no shit
@@sckizophrenia 🤘🏼
@@densaakaldte1 True, that's one of the best things about the early Black Metal scene. So many different bands with their own sound and vision. Even to this day, Black Metal is the most creative and diverse genre of Metal.
Then it'd be less unique. There's a problem with copycats in BM since 1994; comicalizing it.
Perfection! Masterpiece!
You listen to Deathspell Omega?
This riffs touches my soul
Phalènes Et Pestilence - Salvatrice Averse
best song of this album!
@@fraternidadeaustriaca2625 and a contender for best black metal song of all time
Maybe the best album of all times.
This one and Blood In Our Wells is neck n neck for me.
Perfect album
Secrets of the French arts .|.
Killer real classic
the vocals here in this album is the real deal
Fun fact, the vocalist in this album was Neige, founder of Alcest (shoegaze, great band btw) Neige's such a versatile musician
@@agus2554 didn't know that thx man
@@agus2554 only in couple of songs
@@agus2554 Neige was the drummer. The singer was and always is Famine 😉
thanks M🤘

Putain je suis trop con d'avoir toujours zappé cet album, quel banger
Schade dass sie gerade nur Politik statt gute Musik wie diese machen🤦♂. Einzigartiges Album
they could have been my favorite band if only they weren't nsbm
CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE COVER ART I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS?
The cover figure a medieval catholic practice call the " Pénitent " in French. At the 12th century in North Italy and South France appears some Pénitent Brotherhood, group of peasant and beggard who want to drop their normal life to live in religious community and repenting their sins. To repent they were know for doing painfull thing like carry heavy cross on long walk, dont eat, mortifying themself ... ( At the 13th century some of them will be call the flagellants ). In public they wear long dress and a pointedhood ( called the " Capirote " ) to hide their siners face. When desaster happened ( like starving or plague ) their nomber increassed a lot, becoming a real problem for the kingdom ( since a lot of people stop working and begin to walk aroud doing dreadfull thing ... ).
Hope this will help you and my english is understendable. I am French so I do the best I can ...

KPN and the other
Strict reviewing procedures tell us not to overrate debut albums (and i'm not even talking about grammar-school feminaz*s like the guys at EMMA...) , but in this precise case (along with a few other sartorial examples...) it's impossible not to value such aesthetic bravado within the genre, as well as the incredibly interesting narratives built by La Sale; KPN's sudden appearance on my radar, within my then faint perspective of what FBM was, around o7-o8, had a similar impact on me as NMtheB's by the Pistols , back in 77 when i was 14. Yeah, exactly as strong! KPN and their own blueprint were some of the missing pieces of the wide, diverse puzzle French BM was to me at that point. The more i discovered and acquired, the more i understood their stance. To me, the abstraction of the Fkk-Folk concept is the cathartic European counter part, ''brute'', of Afro-American Free Jazz. It's also beyond Dark/Neo-Volk's epic yet sterile and excessively polite proposal. It's an aesthetical liberation statement of the Free Original European Man and Woman, the Preludium to Europe's final look in the mirror to say, ''Yes!'' , or ''No...''. If Free Jazz is accepted and even worshipped, so should KPN.
