I received my copy yesterday after a shipping issue from the supplier and I have to say WOW! It is so good, and the richness of the bass and drums enhance the listening experience, plus Jon Anderson's voice is great and an instrument itself. Even "The Clap" sounds fabulous and rich. I love this AP release! Cheers
Getting the hybrid sacd can't wait but wow I hear the difference not even close the AP is on a different level of clarity, and beautiful details in the guitars, drums, and bass .
I agree on your point of buying less, and buying higher quality records. A lot of reissues these days are not worth the $25 to $30, when you could get the same, or better quality of sound on a CD, or, download. It's, in many instances, a gamble when buying reissues - are You going to get a "big CD", or something much better than a CD, or download. The Atlantic 75th series is amazing.
@@bellisariosonic I was probably being generous. The album was £75 to pre-order. Just looked at exchange rate and that is $94. Postage was £5 which is probably standard UK mail cost.
Matt, the re-issue you are using for comparison is a Rhino 2023 Canadian pressing. The photo of the jacket on Discogs doesn't match-up with with the jacket you are holding in your hands. The yellow text on the simulated film negative on the front cover is missing on the jacket you are holding. I have the same re-issue in my collection.
@@bellisariosonic Great, thanks! I’m currently using the Mofi One Record Cleaning Solution, but maybe thinking about going to just their standard cleaning fluid.

I just got my copy, FANTASTIC sounding. These AP 45rpm re-issues are just amazing so far.

As soon as the second disc started it was so much richer and full. Thank you for the fantastic sounds.
Great review. Keep ‘em coming!
The 45 RPM is audibly a ton better than the 33RPM you played! Wow!. I cannot wait until my copy arrives! Cheers
Agree, why buy standard pressings when these AP pressings are amazing? I’m stunned by the quality of this series!
Just paid the equivalent of $90 in the UK which was the pre-order price. Such a great album though.
@@davestevenson2181 wow that’s a big difference in price. I guess shipping cost?

Awesome I was wondering which one it was. Thanks for letting me know!
Hi Michael. Do you know who mastered the 2023 Canadian pressing? Does it have initials on the runouts (CB, KG, BG) ?

Yeah & its says Canada as clear as day on the label
What kind of cleaning solution and brush do you use? Not nitpicking, just curious as I’m still trying to find the most effective fluid.
@@brendan_allard right now I’m using the Boundless cleaning solution with microfiber cloth. Just a plain old stylus brush for that.

Nice shootout but I wish you could have done a direct recording. The ambient microphone approach just doesn’t cut it.
I listened to it and I can hear the difference fine. Sorry it's not up to your standards. Thanks for coming by.
keep analog alive!
