    Such a cool facility. Not too big so you can't give all the snakes the proper care they deserve but big enough to provide a viable business.
    I'm not a real fan of royals but some of those morphs were pretty stunning.

    Great facility. Radiant floor heat is awesome. I'm planning a facility now in Northeast Ohio. So cold winters here also.
    Who did you use for the Radiant heat?
    Did you DIY or hire out?
    I'm looking and liking Radiantec out of Vermont. Also looking into ICF construction for the building.
    My building would be similar to yours in it will have 2 zones one for rodents and one for reptiles.

    • @scottmattern482
      @scottmattern482 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Any reputable HVAC company can easily install radiant in floor heat. I imagine you already have your project done, but if anyone else reads this, just get a few estimates from local companies. Also, consider using geothermal sourced heat. It adds to the upfront cost, but after tax credits and energy savings, it usually pays for itself within a few years.

    Just found this.............................. Blown away great episode. Have a friend up in Perham Minnesota Way up Northern MN and cold bought a old smaller than hobby farm but had a Huge pole barn on it and dirt floor only a few years old. 50 x 100 foot pole barn set up a canvas sewing buisness so he had a concrete floor poured with the heating tubes in the concrete floor heat pump would circulate the fluid into a heater and it heats Beautifully and back up gas air furnace. Be interesting if you can go into cost of heating from what I understand it is very efficient. LOVE the Pastave with the axanthic gonna look for it on the community tab. Any Updates on her?????!!!!! JSA Hats off!

    deli cups that almost hit the top of the ceiling within the tub? from the few shots showing this, have they observed their snakes drinking water? it looks like theres no room for the snake to even get their heads into those deli cups. Could just be the angle from the shot. Also, I'm curious why they use the press n seal, yet have holes in the box and over moist incubation medium all at the same time? Seems to be like three different trains of thought going on that all counteract one another. I'm sure they're successful given the money it takes to build such a facility and grow that collection as they have, but those two details stand out to me most. The building is impressive, but I feel like they may have overlooked some details that might make incubation harder than it needs to be and some potential hydration challenges for animals. I see a lot of these same practices being utilized and I really don't understand them yet. Maybe that's just me though. Anything you can share to shed light on my misunderstanding and perspective? like I said, they seem successfull so not knocking anything at all.

    • @davkaufmansreptileadventures
      @davkaufmansreptileadventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is the angle, the tubs have been designed specifically to meet the needs of the snakes. There's really no one right way to incubate eggs. If what you're doing produces 100% hatching with big, healthy babies, then the way you're doing it is the way to do it. I don't incubate eggs the same way as they do, but in the end, it all gets us to the same goal.

    What’s the best bedding for ball pythons!?!? Everyone I know personally and all the exotic vets I talk to say either coco or cypress, but everyone I see online that’s a major breeder uses aspen?
    EDIT:
    @ 13:07 there is what I use, repti chips, but all his pythons look to have aspen?

    • @jpcryptid
      @jpcryptid 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the coco or repti chips is better but the Aspen is less expensive, so the might be more economical to use with larger collections, at least that's my guess

    After looking back at this and seeing a few het red axanthic clowns and combos and getting into the “keyhole” clown project... that’s definitely not a het red axanthic clown and more looks like the keyhole clown with the white teardrop sides. The openings on the dorsal and overall look so it could possibly be a special “keyhole” clown or just a really high expression keyhole clown.. they compare keyhole clowns to a gene called the “circus” in clowns but very cool snake and a year ago when I first saw this I’d have a different opinion but I genuinely believe that’s actually a keyhole or special keyhole clown.. keyhole non clown version doesn’t look to crazy so could of slipped in his collection without knowing it but yea.. and i got my pastel keyhole clown and baker from blue line morphs and joe from empire exotics got out keyhole clown stock from this guy from Animalistic pythons or expotics..

    Love the vid. I have a florida porch that is getting pretty weathered over the past year or so. But im really considering when i get the money to repair and remodel im just gonna close it off and make it into my snake room. Just have 5 royals right now but if everything goes right and to plan would love to upgrade. From the bedroom to have a whole entire room for my snakes. And i would love to get some pied genes and some ghi next. Well just wanted to share. Love all your vids brother

      @donnanelson9181 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      But it is possible that someone, like a small breeder, has already bred this combination and just doesn’t or hasn’t made it known in the snake world. The reason I wonder is bc I know a very small hobby breeder who claims to have retics that she claims there are only two each of these snakes in the entire United States and she has one of each of them, and I just wonder how she can know there are only two in the US in the first place. And she claims they are so rare, yet she doesn’t breed them. And she got a real “deal” when she bought them, which is a red flag in my opinion. I’ve just always wondered how snake breeders can claim they have one of a kind when there are so many hobby breeders who don’t advertise or just sell locally.

      There's one thing that I hate . Our local Petco has a morph that they call rare for 300 but they can't tell you what it is they don't know . So if someone new buys it they think they are getting a rare morph and therefore getting screwed . Not every one will second guess them and I think that is messed up .
