Although I don't really play against any Mai mains regularly, this has been a good watch to get a little bit of matchup knowledge in case I run into some Mai players online.

Commenting on every video before Arakune BBCF combo trials. Only if there was an arakune appearance in the top 8. I didnt watch, I wouldnt know if there was.

Mai generates a lot of salt for a number of reasons. She’s easy to play. She goes well against a lot of high tiers and holds her own against the top.
Mai is a new character that is very strong while some older characters got weaker. Her only real weakness with her is no real meterless reversal and her blockstrings are on the predictable side, but she is Guile levels of stable.
Other characters are better but they also require you to be super good. Mai feels like Season 1 SF6 Luke.
The super thing is funny because after playing SF6 for a while, BBCF supers never kill unless you are super optimal. It makes the game “fair” but it’s also stressful as hell during the end of the match.
Once a player starts second guessing it’s usually over.
Thanks for the vid! I know BB isn’t great for your channel, but I found you when CF got rollback. So it’s always nice when you get back into it. Delete Arakune.
I recommend watching the BBCF tournament from Tampa Never Sleeps.

I also believed the same thing until I looked online and found the discord. Where I'm from there aren't any regular Blazblue tournaments, but there are online events. It might be the case foe you.

About that early OD at 11:22, maybe he did it because it was a fatal counter and Litchi is staffless? Idk much about Mai, so idk what routes she gets off OD, but staffless Litchi is rough since she doesn't have DP anymore. Maybe Lotus thought they'd build enough meter for the super and wanted to capitalize while they could? Or maybe they thought that Kinari wouldn't burst?

no disrespect, both players are amazing but i think kinari hasnt fought that many mais because he got hit by the overhead after 5C a lot and mai typically cannot hit you with a low after 5C
