I have a friend that used Terumi as his main and people were scared of him. He was one of the top 3 in the community when BlazBlue was around. He made that character look like a million bucks.

A terumi main got me into blazblue. He scares me to this day. I know he sucks and is F tier, but god forbid you play a man with 1000 meter a round into someone with no fighting game experience
From experience, his low health and the lack of a meterless reversal makes him hard to play defensively. In a game where the top tiers have loopable setplay, unsee-able mix, and just fucking Nine, it is hell on earth on defense. The good news is once he gets going, he is VERY hard to stop especially in OD.
Jirudoggu is pretty much 100% right here, but a few more details is that he suffers from poor neutral, and no meterless reversal. So, it leads to a couple of laughable matchups, if the opponent can setplay, because if you hadn't gotten any momentum going, it's extremely difficult to escape. His health and damage are considered low, in comparison to the higher tiers, and you need meter to capitalize on mixups besides throw. Not a tough ask for terumi, but you need momentum first, and poor neutral can make that very difficult for him. All that being said, he can certainly feel oppressive if you aren't familiar with the matchup, due to his excellent mobility and pressure strings. Plus, his high mobility and fast buttons can snowball a zoning matchup very quickly, if your read is on point. So, don't get discouraged by his tier placement if you wanna play him, because F tier in this game still stands a solid chance against S tier. You'll just have to work pretty hard in some matchups, but you can totally do it.

So why Terumi is an F tier? He's prerry versitile, has a lot of comboing drives, can stomp. Isn't he great?
