  • Cort CR100 a model that i have to say, it is a lot of guitar for the price you pay.
    Came in from a friend and it needs a setup.
    I look into neck relief, string action a loose input jack and few other things.

    My cr150 came beautifully set up. Love it! Upgrading pickups to Seymour Duncan. Cort pickups are nice, but this may take it to a level way above the price tag. As it is, fantastic value for money. Cort are a force that only the silly would ignore.

    It looks great! I’m looking for my first guitar. What is better this or cort m200?

      C-Steeral i would go for the one you like more visually, both are very close in terms of specs... so tonally very similar...

    I've read that this Cort has intonation issues on higher frets. Is it a big deal? Can bridge adjustment solve this?

    0.04 inches for neck relief or what ? what kind of gap we need to look for ?

    • @RevivedGuitars
      @RevivedGuitars  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi marco! 0.4mm or 0.016 in inches... it is a small gap. So I use a feeler gauge in mm, but instead u can use like a bank card which as roughly is the same. U see this video I use household items to do the setup -> th-cam.com/video/YVUEuRvES4o/w-d-xo.html

      thank you ...isn't that much of a relief ? for example suhr and many other's suggest to put only 0.05 inches of relief in neck? what's your expierence on this matter ? would love to see a video on this issue ...i am struggling to get the proper relief in my guitar's , my luthier keeps telling me to make it straight but i am getting buzzes on the first frest especially if the guitar is not perfectly in tune ..i start to get very bad sound on the instrument

      @RevivedGuitars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a very good question! On my previous reply I mentioned 0.016 inches, now 0.05 inches is around 1.27 mm which is way to much for my taste. As for the future I will do a video about it. At the moment what I can tell about buzzing and relief is that, there is a very delicate balance between string action at the bridge, neck relief and string action at the nut, all of this will be affected by the scale length of your guitar and the tunning ( like E standart; drop C and all). The first thing you have to have for shure is frets leveled, and from there u can adjust all of the above to your preferences. What guitar do you have?

      0.06 to 0.08 inches i meant sorry , it should be almost nothing basically if you use the string as a straightedge between first and last fret the space is almost not really visible , just a ping at the eight fret ..
      i have loads of guitar's he he he I am a gas man, les paul's , strat's, tele's, ibanez's you name it , I have got it he he he

      I'm sorry for you ,I know G.A.S. it not a laughing matter... ;) ! My suggestion is try and see if the frets are leveled, once that's done you should achieve what you want. Don't hesitate to ask if you have more questions! \m/
