    I dearly love this post cast and 2 lawyers who are very professional and compassionate about what they are saying, totally different from commercial purpose. I do hope those who want to know about immigration should hear fro these two lovely lawyers. All the best and thanks for your talk.

    Really good episode, Mark and Alicia. Forwarded this to a couple of people I know whose PGWP is coming to an end.

    I heard on an East Indian radio show… an immigration lawyer was saying that there is not enough manpower in Canada to take action on all out of status people.

    • @SuperHyacinthia
      @SuperHyacinthia หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      if you're thinking about deportation, yes. But being out of status for prolonged period of time just dooms your future in the country. You have to live in the shadow for a long time, if not permanently.

      @SuperHyacinthia Plus it will limit your chances of getting approved. India is not at war so they need to go back and then apply for permanent residence like everyone else. Not sure why these students feel entitled to remain in Canada.

    Hello Mark and Alicia, thank you so much for your videos. They are very educative and insightful. Please I wanted to ask, in august this year, IRCC announced the likelihood of a new immigration pathway tailored mainly for teer 4 and teer 5 workers. They said it will come into effect in the fall. We are way into the fall season now and yet no word on the pathway from the government. With everything happening now and the continuous and “unfavorable” changes to immigration, do you think there is still a possibility for that pathway or should people waiting on that particular pathway just move on?
    Thank you in advance.

      It was a miserable failure. These programs have been the worst conceived and managed programs for IRCC.

    Thanks for this episode, I still would love seeing professionals defining well the term: Illegal, or Ilicit, vs. stateless, overstay, refugee claimant, or asylum seeker, as You can see that in the US they are including ALL immigrants in the definition of "illegal" and misleading the popultion (even those with immigrant parents) to believe now that you may Equate the term illegal to Immigrant or "illegal border crossing" So if you can explain in detail and set the limitations for these type of definitions to contribute with the citizens that lack education about immigraiton law it would be Excellent, also please foster the introduction of Immigration law instruction in schools. So all the people including future citizens/employers can understand at least the fundamentals and avoid misuse of the Laws and regulations that were placed there to protect the public not to harm it or to mis use the system. Huge thanks for this video.

    Hey guys, how about the amount of people in the limbo working now that the WP will expiry in 2025 or 2026 and don’t have pathways by CEC or PNPs.
    There is no discussion about it. Will they create pathways for these people?

    • @rohanutep81
      @rohanutep81 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No

    • @CanadianImmigrationInstitute
      @CanadianImmigrationInstitute  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do not see any pathway being created for these people. The Liberal government has done a complete 180 degree turn on immigration. Their election readiness team is now telling them that if they kept going down the path they were previously, they would lose votes in the upcoming election. I sure wish immigration was not so political, but it ends up being a wedge issue every single election. The days of generous 18 month PGWP extensions are long gone. When the conservatives are elected, they will never go down that path.

    • @raphael-ca
      @raphael-ca หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ thank you for your answer. I agree. How about the “In-Canada Focus” in the quotas table? Any chances for that stream be a pathway?

      Book a consultation. Flagpoling is dangerous. I know because I was a border officer before I became an immigration lawyer. I need to understand your situation in full before I can provide this kind of legal advice: www.holthelaw.com/consultation

    For many Filipinos who are very poor back in the Philippines, living in poverty as a illegal is still a step up. These people would have lived in slums and were earning peanuts.

      I would need more information to provide you with this type of legal advice. I recommend you book a consultation: www.holthelaw.com/consultation. However, please review the past videos I have done discussing the recent changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. LMIAs for low-wage TFWs will be barred where unemployment rates are 6% or higher, or where the employer already has over 10% workforce as TFWs with LMIAs.

    Is it possible to apply for a visitor record inside Canada for a spouse of a temporary worker ?

    • @rohanutep81
      @rohanutep81 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No

    • @CanadianImmigrationInstitute
      @CanadianImmigrationInstitute  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If the spouse is already in Canada, yes it is possible. However, officers will scrutinize these applications carefully to ensure that the person fully intends to remain as a visitor and that the family has sufficient resources to support themselves on one income. Other bona fides will also be examined.
