Probably enough time has passed to where he’s now more comfortable with singing clean vocals live, and he’s also hopefully past the point of feeling really emotionally vulnerable singing this song due to the subject matter.
I came here to see if this matches the studio sound, and his vocals are really that good. I'm not sure what you find that's "bad" about any of it. You'd go look for heavier stuff from them if you were actually interested. I recognize that Phil's gift extends beyond his gutterals, growls, screams, etc...his clean vocals are amazing, and you can hear the sand paper grit as he transitions into a belting scream during the particularly vulnerable portions of this song. You have no clue of the dynamics it requires to convey such emotions, and if you did, you'd certainly respect his choice. I'm sure you expected to get this sort of response, but I'd rather meet you with logic than to perpetuate the ignorance. Open your mind and close that mouth of yours.
