- In this video, I try to summarize what the French people really Eat in a day and what are the habits, the way of eating. I'm focusing on the french traditional and authentic way of Eating.
On a daily basis, we eat a simple, easy diet made with whole foods. Nothing to do with the fancy french cuisine You can see on line.
Conversion US for my height (I mentionned it at the end): 1m60 is 5.2ft - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
I like to have a piece of camembert with some blueberries for a snack. Keep up the good work and carry on spreading the message.🙋♂️
Thanks 😊 nice the camembert with blueberries 🫐
I'm an American who has lived outside the U.S. off and on since 1990, mostly Europe and Asia. I'm also a professional chef, trained at Le Cordon Bleu. A balanced diet of fresh ingredients combined with portion size is essential. It took a long time to stop thinking of meals in American portions and realize portions should be the size of your fist, or around 4 oz. or 1/2 cup (100g). As I get older, I find I eat less and prefer small bites (1 egg instead of 2, a cup of soup instead of a bowl).
Thanks for sharing 😊
Your videos are so inspiring to me. I am trying to make my meals resemble yours - simple, delicious, and healthy eating. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks 😊 I'm glad you like them! Have a nice day
Love this video ❤. So nice to see all the delicious food. Greetings from Norway ☕️✨
Thanks ☺️ have a nice day
I usually eat my dinner from pasta bowls. Never big plates. And I have Little bowls for yogurt and fruit so i dont eat too much. Most of this diet is the diet I eat in US. But I am half french and funny is I always ate toast with jam and very little butter, and coffee for breakfast haha. These french genes are deep.
Thanks for watching and sharing ☺️
This is one of your best videos! Great advice!❤
Thanks 😊
Love your channel! Appreciating the tips for French eating and all the recipes and menu ideas!
Thanks for your support! Have a nice day 😊
I visited Paris for the first time in June and what I loved most was the food. Simple, clean, fresh and tasty. I am in England and have been cooking many dishes based on my visit. Your videos inspire me to keep cooking like this. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! Have a nice evening.
I'm neither french nor over weight but I find these videos so well done. They help me balance out my food choices and keep things more uncomplicated. I was very happy to see bread and potatoes included, some of my favorites. Also the dark chocolate you showed, I bought the same exact brand-and 100% cocoa this very day.
Thanks for watching ☺️
I just found your channel and really enjoyed this video. Very inspiring, to be more considered in my approach. Thank you, your presentation is so engaging, I can’t wait to watch more. xx
Thanks for watching ☺️ I'm glad you like it!
Great video and you are spot on about simple meals, that use good quality ingredients and cooking from scratch. ❤
Thanks 😀
This was great! Everything looks delicious. The two fried eggs with salad 🥗 looks so fresh and inviting.
So that’s a great way to have a dessert is to enjoy it on a one day instead of daily. That makes sense and is so simple. We Americans go in excess of everything! 😮
Thank you for sharing this! This is a nice guide to change for an individual 😊
Thanks for your support. Have a nice evening.
I live in Cyprus, luckily the produce here is fresh and there's a lot of variety in vegetables and fruit, but the prices went so high you literally need a small fortune to buy seasnal fruit and veggies. Not to mention the price of meat, seafood, cheese and eggs! It's crazy
Hello. I understand for seafood but for eggs and cheese it is not understandable that they become so expensive. It's the same in Paris. When processed products are cheaper than basic products like eggs and cheese it becomes problematic. Thanks for watching. Have a nice day 😊
@@easyfrenchdiet Exactly. Processed food is cheaper. It's even cheaper to eat junk food, too. It's so sad.
I really like your channel as I’m more interested in learning home cooking recipes of different countries. These recipes from everyday home cooks tell a lot about cultures and people.
The only French cheese I tried was brie. I found them bit heavy for my stomach. I decided to give Camembert a try after seeing it featured in almost all your videos, and they are delicious. The only problem is I don’t see them in my local stores recently. I read from news bacterias used to make Camembert facing extinction a while ago. I truly hope that was not the case.
Thanks for this informative video!
Hello. Thanks ☺️ yes I prefer Camembert over Brie which is a bit sour for my taste. I don't know about the extinction, I haven't heard this information. Have a nice day 😊
hi! from Turkey. I love your channel and your cooking, keep producing content 🤗🩷
Thanks 😊 have a nice day
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo madame! Très bien!
Contente que ça vous plaise !
I'm a Malaysian who whips up simple meals at home too...love your simple and nutrition conscious meals....amazed how you opted for chocs for dessert considering the mind - blowing French patisseries...😆🤤🤤🤤🤤
Thanks for watching ☺️
I see the endive and I am happy. My favorite salad vegetable, unfortunately very expensive in the US. I grew up in Germany, so trying to maintain a German style diet in the US is not always easy and certainly not cheap.
Hello. Yes I understood from the comments below my videos that it's sometimes a challenge to find certain produces like endives. Thanks for watching ☺️

Thank you for this video! I started a low carb high protein way of eating to help with acne and bloat. I have had a horrible relationship with food and learning how to be healthy.
Hello. Yes this way of eating can be very helpful for certain conditions and also when once has a complicated relationship with food. I'm glad that you found peace and what works best for you.. thanks for watching. Have a nice day 😊
Merci Beaucoup.
Thanks for watching ☺️
Loved it. Thank you. I’m trying to eat more veg and protein less carbs as I’m 60 otherwise weight creeps on. French diet looks great.
Yes, it's more a lifestyle and a way of eating than a diet. Thanks for watching ☺️
Used to wonder about my grandmother's best dinner-set (which my mother inherited) and how small plates for main course were. So true, plates are bigger now... blame the Americans?🙃
Hello. for the plates I also wonder if it's not the foodie trend too because in restaurants the plates are always bigger. but it is clear that for use on a daily basis it is not a good idea that they sell them so large because it distorts the perception of the quantities. Thanks for watching ☺️
👍👍

I am an American, and my tip to eat healthfully is to shop the perimeter of the store, go into the center aisles and only buy what is on your list, and to chose packaged foods with the least number of ingredients. An example, chose Wasa or matzo crackers over triscuits. Choose triscuits over townhouse. Chose 100% whole wheat bread over white bread, same for pasta. Brown rice instead of white.
For vegan items, chose almond milk over coconut or oat. Chose cashew cheese over daiya, and tofu/tempeh/seitan over pea-protein or soy isolate based mock meats.
For all dairy products, vegan or not, choose unsweetened, no artificial sugar, and full fat if applicable. Unsweetened soy yogurt is the best nutritionally for vegans, but you have to make it yourself. Silk plain soy yogurt (has a little sugar) is better than most others.
For the owner of thr channel, would love to know more about why the French choose white rice/pasta/bread instead of whole wheat, and what people who cannot have dairy eat instead in France. Say they have severe lactose intolerance or a milk allergy.
Hello, thanks for sharing. For bread when you buy sourdough bread in a regular bakery it's alway made with whole wheat. For the white pasta, rice, etc. some people certainly eat whole wheat pasta and rice as they are available in stores. But I don't know the proportion. For dairy products I know people who don't eat cheese either because they are intolerant or because they don't like the strong taste of French cheeses. Those who want to substitute milk take almond or soy milk. Have a nice evening 😌
Great video 🔥 What do you think about using Normotim for dieting?
Hello. Thanks. Sorry I don't know this product. Have a nice day 😊
@@easyfrenchdietThank you for answer! Normotim is a nootropic that helps with stress management and reducing cravings, which has made it easier for me to stick to my diet. Did you use any nootropics or what's your opinion in general?
Hello. No I don't use any supplement except vitamin d in winter. But if it's helpful for you and reduce your cravings, keep taking them. Have a nice day
😊
Thanks for watching ☺️
Olive oil seems like from nice😊I bought once.
Hello. Yes indeed it's an old brand from Nice. Have a nice day 😊
I am a 63 year old American. We share the same food choices. I have eaten this way all my life.
Hello. Thanks for watching ☺️
No snacks, no sweet beverages, not too much carbs, no added sugar.
But I'm french. 😂😂😂
👍🥦
Thanks for watching ☺️
They eat what everybody eats ... Stop with this cliché already.
The obesity data don't lie.
The pictures of shelve after shelve stuffed with ultra processed junk food quite obviously were taken in a French supermarket. Who eats all this unhealthy stuff, as the French say they never would?
Hello. Yes it's in France in Paris where I live. Unfortunately we have health issues and obesity in France too. Some people eat these products daily. I read that about 80% of the population eat the traditional french diet. But the rest moved away from it. And more and more children, teenagers and young adults eat these sugary products and drink sodas everyday. Have a nice day
Of course many French people do eat these foods and go to Mc Donald's often...sadly
