- “It appears that her [boyfriend] last talked to her at a convenience store around midnight, heard her talking to two grown-ups," Mayor John Whitmire said Tuesday.
Parents please keep your children off of social media.
Curious, what part of this story had to do with social media? She was at the wrong place at the wrong time with a very bad element present, in person.

This is another good reason children in that age group DONT NEED A CELL PHONE . THERES TOO MUCH FOR THEM SEE AND GET INVOLVED IN.
Phones can be made to be kid safe but parents are too lazy to set the phone.

Young people, im grown and i wouldnt go outside in Houston at night myself. It is waaaaay too dangerous. I know its hard but please stay home at night and be extremely careful during the day. Watch out for what other people are doing all around you. Be ready to hit the ground . Or run and hide. Please be careful. Your parents aren't trying to be mean or unfair when they say no. They are trying to keep you as safe as possible. It is a war zone out there.

They want to grow up, so fast. The adults around them, should protect them, help them to grow up the right way. Any adult can identify a 12 year old, and should have called police. I thank God that I was left alone, if I was at the beach, or waiting at the bakery at 5 a.m., before making my way there, to catch the sunrise.
I was thinking that, too. What about the store clerk? I guess, the clerk thought the men hanging around her were relatives of hers, or something. I wish someone had noticed it was suspicious, but maybe it wasn’t obvious. I saw the video and it looked sketchy but, of course, I already knew what happened so I can’t judge.

Of course it is the mother's fault. Smh Obviously the killers, as well, but her mother clearly failed as a parent. Not to mention, as usual in these cases, no father.
