When a player is lights out, such as Ruffin you can only contain them and make it hard. #0 did that all game. It seemed heated, but years later Ruffin will say that boy gave him trouble. Now, Ruffin still gone get his. Thats expected. But it wasnt a walk in the park either.
If you watch how #0 defended him, you can tell he his an elite defender and has great IQ for his age. Not too many players will trail a good player like Ruffin down the court.
Pay attention to how he would defend the shoulder of Ruffin's shooting arm. He made it very uncomfortable for him. If #0 wasnt defending him, Ruffin would have went off for much more points.
The white team won because they were the better team overall. They defended as a unit and had great team communication on the court. I dont know how far they went but they are a championship team if they play like this every night
