excellent presentation from someone who does not have the slightest understanding of the intention in creating this. G was reluctant to integrate movements into work. Control of body and emotions were the precursors to real work and it is no accident that the one thing Jeanne clearly had a natural understanding of would after his warnings to her and death would predominate in the life of the Work.

It like tai chin, all movement of body bring some liberation. The body need inner space in order for the cells to breath. Movement is the key.

thankyou its amazing to hear these perspectives on it. I like to call it master meditation with form 🙂. I love testing what the body will do with different types of music and dance the vibration in that meditative state it is magical, some of the hand movements look similar but Gurdieff's movements lack a lot of body flow and look very influenced by military marching, the true way is with no influence or rules, to just allow the body to become the sound vibration as one and it will do the sacred moves associated with that vibration and will know what is to come next 🙏❤

I remember going to Bray near Windsor to watch a demonstration of the movements, you try to figure out some kind of pattern or meaning to the movements but its so complex that your mind just gives up and you just enjoy the beauty of it all.

not if one understands them as a TOOL not an aim what is wrong with you people ? Your comment is not understood by yourself It is the reason G was reluctant to introduce movements

with all due respect but I think you are wrong . The movements are 250 maybe you don't know them all, but this is a part

with all due respect, the person you're replying to probably knows more of the movements than any 100 of the rest of us.

I know all the movements snd have been teaching them for 50 years having been taught by Mr Gurdjieff's first row and the people he designated.
These are not Gurdjieff movements. I can tell right away from the position
      tight

Is this supposed to be like sacred geometry but for dance, or is this an example of the organ kundabuffer at work? What a sly guy G.I. was!!

Gurdjieff still fascinates me, but nothing is above criticism. Take what you want and leave the rest.

Indeed if MOVEMENTS were brought by Mr Gurdjieff as a language beyond WORDS… why does people keep on trying to put words where WORDS DO NOT FIT ????!!!????
