The only Dragon God that Acnologia can't reach is Selene as she had Aqua Aera spell, allowing her to go to any world she wants and safely raise her children, Kurnugi among them, away from Earth Land.

There is precedent to a dragon hiding in plain sight from Acnologia in the main series, which is Irene. When they first met Acnologia was disinterested in her and regarded her as a human, only getting interested when she revealed her high enchanter status. It wasn't until after she died that Acnologia finally recognized her. And bonus: that scene also showed that he initially glossed over Wendy; she likely could've slipped right from under him if Erza hadn't drawn his attention (note that he first takes note of Erza's scent, before going into shock over Wendy, implying he hadn't been keeping track of scents in the air up until that point). Some dragons and dragon slayers still being around feels like a plot hole, until you start really thinking about it. Acnologia was strong, but not omniscient. Just looking at the map of Ishgar shows you how big Earthland as a whole must be - because it's only a peninsula, not a full continent itself, there's a much bigger continent beyond Pergrande Kingdom at the furthermost point of Ishgar. Mercphobia's line about Ignia destroying nations used to bug me, because that seems like it'd draw Acnologia to him, but taking the implied size of Earthland into account, it'd actually make sense that the surviving few dragons can essentially play hide and seek with Acnologia, even cause a ruckus and then dip before Acnologia can find out about it. Now that there's not literally dragons everywhere, the remaining few a lot of hiding places at their disposal, and also can have large stretches of land between them and Acnologia. One other point is that it's pretty much shown Acnologia is a hermit when he's not in rampage mode. Because of that, he definitely misses out on valuable intel, especially about dragon slayers. He likely never even found out about Diabolos, if they've only been around for a few decades and never made a name for themself outside of Guiltina. For years there's talk in Fiore of "Salamander", "Blacksteel Gajeel", "The Sky Maiden", and "The Twin Dragons of Sabertooth" - yet only at Tenrou does he first appear, and that's because something else got his attention, and then the next time he shows his face is the final arc, because Zeref is the one to tell him the war is gonna happen. He may have never even found out about the Dragon Gods - it's said Aldoron fought him and is serving as the base for Drasil to recover from that, but that fight would have likely took place outside of Guiltina and before Aldoron became the "Wood Dragon God". The only way he could've found out about Aldoron, or Mercphobia for that matter, is if he'd gone in human form at their towns and heard the citizens openly talk about worshiping them. If the anime flashbacks are canon, then it's shown he at least did something like that in the past, but either he had bad luck when it came to Guiltina & Fiore or his attitude towards going into human civilization changed after his transformation. I actually think you could take this a step further and use this to explain why his goal changes from just targeting dragons to wanting to destroy *everything* by the end of the series, and even destroying human nations before that. 400 years ago, Acnologia wiped out basically 99% of dragons, but now 400 years have passed and clearly there's a few left kicking that he just can't seem to track down, and now there's new dragon slayers popping up. If some human nations end up under the rule of these surviving dragons, or being the birthplace of new dragon slayers, then in his mind he should just raze any place he thinks a dragon or dragon slayer might be and hopefully that does the trick. Except after doing that a bunch of times and seeing it clearly hasn't worked, so the next "logical step" to that is to just burn the whole world down. It's said that the transformation corrupted his mind, and shown in the flashbacks that hatred and rage consumed his thoughts, so I see no reason why 400 years of playing cat and mouse would finally make him snap and go nuclear, especially once the time rift gives him the means to carry out the nuclear option. Forgot this one other thought I had and don't know where else to slip it but: iirc Gildarts encountered Acnologia at Zonia Mountain, which is still in northern Fiore. Lines said during 100 Years Quest suggest Gildarts did meet Elefseria, but given Elefseria himself doesn't know where the Dragon Gods are, I reckon what happened was Gildarts - left to his own devices to track them down - accidentally mistook sightings of Acnologia for one of the Dragon Gods and followed him to Zonia Mountain. The fact Guiltina is north of Fiore, and Zonia Mountain is in the northern parts of Fiore, support Gildarts leaving Guiltina and reaching Fiore again. You could even say the reason Acnologia was close enough to Guiltina and Fiore in the first place was due to him patrolling the area for Ignia or Mercphobia (Mercphobia does seem to patrol the seas himself, since he saves people like Karameel from drowning).
Kirin's flashback happened 30 years ago and in this one only Kirin, Georg and Wraith appear, it is most likely the beginning of Diabolos and the other members joined in the following years, because they do not look so old. For Acnologia 30 years is nothing so it is most likely that he was hibernating or simply did not see them because his power was not so much to find them.
For similar reasons to Mercphobia, Aldoron's scent was also possibly being masked. He had an entire forest ecosystem growing on his back. All those plants producing all those different scents could have hidden his scent and made it hard to tell his apart from that of all the surrounding plants it was mixed with. Natsu wasn't able to smell him either even though they were standing right on top of him, so this could have been the case.
i get that but the question is how did he vanish from acnologia because we all know that acnologia won't leave unless he is beaten or he killed that tree dragon. that's the hole in this whole story. because there is no way that aldoron can damage acnologia by using magic and his slow ass can't attack him physically.

The dragons chose the year x777 to use the greater amount Of ethernano in the atmosphere to quickly return to their full power. It's why the dragons faded away, cause they are all dead as they (dragons) said so. The dragon gods are all proficient in hiding, since Acnologia scared them shitless. Acnologia presumed Aldoron was dead and left him behind on the verge of death just like he did to that crystal dragon who also survived Acnologia's rampage. Aldoron's magic allows him to manipulate life, is it surprising he can survive? It still took him several centuries to recover from the injuries. Natsu and Wendy couldn't even tell they were on a dragon's hand, you think acnologia can do the same? Acnologia isn't omniscient.
A other reason could be: Selena stated, that wounds inflicted by other dragons can not truly heal. When they all are equaly in physicaly strenght, could Acgnologia maybe decided, that it would be to dangeroius to fight them at that time. Until, he obtained more power for himself.
I definitely feel like acnologia was in guiltena hunting the dragon gods cause let's not forget gildarts attempted the 100 years quest and fought him possibly mistaking him for one of them
Actually the Dragon Gods were kind of a thing back in God Serena’s backstory IIRC where he supposedly traveled to another continent to kill them, though we later found out he sold out to them for power.
You know I feel like this whole thing would have been avoided if they said the dragon gods just slightly sealed off the continent to hide from Acnologia masking their presence until they felt they were ready to take on Acnologia. This would keep the hype for Acnologia as the strongest in the series and give a good reason why Acnologia never knew about them.
I still think Acnologia could have stopped Natsus Spirit Bomb Friendship Punch. He could have used his foot, or tanked it with his face. That would have been cool.
On the Dragon Gods being a "retcon" I wouldn't be so sure, cause they were mentioned in Chapter 470 of the original series by August while praising God Serena and that does come back when we meet him again during the Dogramag Arc Not super sure how much of that was planned but I think it's wrong to say Mashima didn't had an idea at least Plus, there was that nameless dragon in the Blue Mistral manga who died only 100 years prior, around the 100YQ beginning, so the possibility of few Dragons surviving was still there On the rest, Acnologia only officially fought Aldoron and it wasn't a stalemate, it's pretty much implied Acno fought him before he even became a full dragon (as Aldoron can HEAL his own wounds whereas that wouldn't be possible from the injuries caused by another dragon) and if Aldo was reduced that badly I think it would have been mentioned I think very simply like with Animus Acnologia stomped him and thought he would have died on his own without needing to deal the final blow, not expecting they had ways to keep on living despite all those injuries Recent chapters suggest Ignia do indeed fear Acnologia implying he saw him fighting, but I think he is simply still scared of what he saw 400 years prior And for the Giltena situation in general to me it seem the dragons were pretty much way more hidden than the ones in Ishgar and Alakitasia Since the inhabitants were convinced the dragons were extinct because of Acnologia but then went "No, that's true only for those continents" If Dragons weren't a problem till that encounter and were convinced the dragons weren't a thing anymore it simply mean Dragons in Giltena stay hidden and mind their own business, the 100 year quest was just due to an unfortunate series of coincidences Acnologia was also pretty much convinced the 7 Dragon Slayers were the only "remnants" of Dragons left, bro is desperatly looking for a purpose and think killing them would be the equivalent of killing Dragons, which wasn't the case before He wouldn't be so desperate if it wasn't for the fact that he doesn't know of the Dragons of Giltena, cause they keep a low profile and he isn't constantly going around the planet

Faris doesn't hold as much power as acnologia. It's safer to say she is closer to zeref. She only got the power acnologias hand had and that isn't even her power so more likely she will not be able to use it as good as acnologia would. Acnologia more likely defeats the dragon gods simply because he negates and absorbs all magic constantly getting stronger. So the only way to beat him is brawl at which he has way more experience than every other being alive in the series

Natsu and the rest spent years to decades practicing their magic to gain enough strength to Fight a dragon and they were prodigies specifically picked by their dragons. Acnologia did that in just a year or two since the dragon king festival should have started by then. Acnologia is the Broly/Frieza of his verse.

Ya ALDORON fought Acnologia to a stalemate and both got Heavily injured. ALDORON got it the worst which is why he made his cores to help seal his powers to focus on healing and recovering his power. Which is why he want at 100% power during his arc despite how strong he was at the time and what it took to beat him

I just think it's quite simple. Acnologia was a dragon slayer. He could only sense Dragon Slayers. He could not sense other type of Dragons including pure dragons like Igneel, he would have had to physically encounter them or he just sense them less strong, for sure if they are in hiding.

Nothing igneel literally beat acnologia ass in brink of death. Most dragon in past were involved in civil war with each other. Because of civil war stronger dragon who can kill acnologia were wounded by fighting themselves and they needed Ethernano to heal their wound and gained their power. Acnologia took advantage to kill most dragon when they weaker because of Ethernano. Igneel came to future to heal his wound and gain his power. But he couldn't do it because of sleeping inside natsu.
It's good to come up with reasons but the fact is, the 100 years quest was just an extended story and so the dragon gods were never there to begin with. That's just it.
Because he know he's going to get curve stomp if he ever come across the other dragons who ranks below him that's how all villains are in fairy give them a little power they above the world but won't use it on the overpower villains.

The Dragon "Gods" we just dragons, the people were the ones who gave them the title of "Dragon Gods". Acnologia almost lost to a half dead Igneel is because Igneel had more experience than acnologia, Igneel presumably was a beast back then when the civil war erupted, Igneel lost because Acnologia had attained immunity to any sorts of magic and on the other hand Acnologia's power is dragon slaying magic hence Igneel lost, even Igneel would be enough to woop Ignia's a** or any "Dragon Gods". In short, Acnologia would've slaughtered the so called "Dragon Gods". So Dragon Slaying Magic > Dragon power. This is from what I've observed from the series and the recent manga
acnologia never fought any of them before lmao, you saw how strong and invincible he is to magic and you might also saw his ultra hatred towards dragons when he one shot Gserena and desecrated Irene. everything in 100 year quest is BS that atleast one of them can rival acnologia they were hiding for a reason. the story of 100 year quest is basically what boruto is to naruto anime.
If you actually read the manga and saw the video you’d know he was confirmed to fight at least one of them 100 Years Quest is a sequel to continue the adventure and adds more to the world of the series. Also Serena and Irene are dragon slayers not pure dragons there’s a difference. Irene is strong but her bag of tricks kept her alive for centuries Also I won’t lie Boruto was surprisingly good once I gave it a chance. Manga has been pretty good for awhile now imo

If they can hide effectively Acnologia can’t track them down it’s that simple and the dragons aren’t idiots they can choose not to fight. Saying it’s plot BS isn’t an argument cause stories are driven by plot. We get reason and hints as to why this is. That’s what the video is trying explain. Also Boruto is fine as it’s a time of peace without much need to for Ninjas anytime that’s the point of the technology advancements. I didn’t like Boruto at first too but I haven’t a shot and it was pretty good. Story picks up once Kawaki gets introduced and the time skip was been incredible so far. If you don’t like that’s fine I’m just saying what I think about it.

Mashima scaling is inconsistent the newest chapters in the 100 year quest states that none of the dragon gods were trying and they all casually unsealed themselves, as ignia explains it, aldoron had roots across the entire continent, Selene allowed herself to be sealed same for mecrphobia. Igneel with no soul and barely any magical power gave acnologia a fight. Although earthland faris got acnologia arm and ignia is about to go test itself against acnologia arm just proves my point mashima scaling is inconsistent

Aldoron vs Acno happened at least 400-300 years ago meaning some of them already had enough power to make Acno gave up on fighting them and they possibly got stronger based on Ignia saying they are and it shows enough when they've been nerfed the whole time From the start the dragon gods have been compared to Acno, Natsu saw and fought him at least 3× he'd have commented if they weren't on or above Acno's level Acno arm and Faris is still a mystery we don't know how strong she is with and without the arm and her only feat is a draw test clash with human form Ignia and we know human forms nerf them further due to Selene only exception to human form nerf are Aldoron and Dogramag As their true body is it's own landmass and their "human form" is just a significant part of it unlike the rest who practically turned their whole dragon body into human form The seals don't really change anything if anything it makes them more impressive and to be fair to Acno all feats he did before time rift were all holding back so for now we can only say they still within the same tier just the main 5 gods significantly has more raw power

Acnologia know dragon god. Ignia was destroying country to train himself. Aldron was so big that 5 town were in his body. Acnologia know that fighting a single dragon god at their power will kill him or wound him that he easily getting killed by another dragon. Or second possibility is that acnologia thought he goes to fight any dragon god and all 5 come together and kill him like an insect. He can't take all of them alone. Fighting a single would be dangerous for him.
Acnologia is mad, he would have thrown the hands anyway. the problem with your theory is that Acnologia would have already killed them 3 or 2 centuries in the past if he knew where they were, the fact is he didn't know. That's it, Acnologia is a hermit, he didn't know about Natsu, Gajeel, Sting, Rogue and Wendy despite their information on dragon slaying magic being spread far and wide across Ishgar. Gajeel at least would have some international renown as an S-class mage. And the twin dragons of Saber tooth would be greatly renowned through Ishgar due to Grand Magic Games. Mashima scaling is inconsistent the newest chapters in the 100 year quest states that none of the dragon gods were trying and they all casually unsealed themselves, as ignia explains it, aldoron had roots across the entire continent, Selene allowed herself to be sealed same for mecrphobia. Igneel with no soul and barely any magical power gave acnologia a fight. Although earthland faris got acnologia arm and ignia is about to go test itself against acnologia arm just proves my point mashima scaling is inconsistent

The only Dragon God that Acnologia can't reach is Selene as she had Aqua Aera spell, allowing her to go to any world she wants and safely raise her children, Kurnugi among them, away from Earth Land.

There is precedent to a dragon hiding in plain sight from Acnologia in the main series, which is Irene. When they first met Acnologia was disinterested in her and regarded her as a human, only getting interested when she revealed her high enchanter status. It wasn't until after she died that Acnologia finally recognized her. And bonus: that scene also showed that he initially glossed over Wendy; she likely could've slipped right from under him if Erza hadn't drawn his attention (note that he first takes note of Erza's scent, before going into shock over Wendy, implying he hadn't been keeping track of scents in the air up until that point).
Some dragons and dragon slayers still being around feels like a plot hole, until you start really thinking about it. Acnologia was strong, but not omniscient. Just looking at the map of Ishgar shows you how big Earthland as a whole must be - because it's only a peninsula, not a full continent itself, there's a much bigger continent beyond Pergrande Kingdom at the furthermost point of Ishgar. Mercphobia's line about Ignia destroying nations used to bug me, because that seems like it'd draw Acnologia to him, but taking the implied size of Earthland into account, it'd actually make sense that the surviving few dragons can essentially play hide and seek with Acnologia, even cause a ruckus and then dip before Acnologia can find out about it. Now that there's not literally dragons everywhere, the remaining few a lot of hiding places at their disposal, and also can have large stretches of land between them and Acnologia.
One other point is that it's pretty much shown Acnologia is a hermit when he's not in rampage mode. Because of that, he definitely misses out on valuable intel, especially about dragon slayers. He likely never even found out about Diabolos, if they've only been around for a few decades and never made a name for themself outside of Guiltina. For years there's talk in Fiore of "Salamander", "Blacksteel Gajeel", "The Sky Maiden", and "The Twin Dragons of Sabertooth" - yet only at Tenrou does he first appear, and that's because something else got his attention, and then the next time he shows his face is the final arc, because Zeref is the one to tell him the war is gonna happen. He may have never even found out about the Dragon Gods - it's said Aldoron fought him and is serving as the base for Drasil to recover from that, but that fight would have likely took place outside of Guiltina and before Aldoron became the "Wood Dragon God". The only way he could've found out about Aldoron, or Mercphobia for that matter, is if he'd gone in human form at their towns and heard the citizens openly talk about worshiping them. If the anime flashbacks are canon, then it's shown he at least did something like that in the past, but either he had bad luck when it came to Guiltina & Fiore or his attitude towards going into human civilization changed after his transformation.
I actually think you could take this a step further and use this to explain why his goal changes from just targeting dragons to wanting to destroy *everything* by the end of the series, and even destroying human nations before that. 400 years ago, Acnologia wiped out basically 99% of dragons, but now 400 years have passed and clearly there's a few left kicking that he just can't seem to track down, and now there's new dragon slayers popping up. If some human nations end up under the rule of these surviving dragons, or being the birthplace of new dragon slayers, then in his mind he should just raze any place he thinks a dragon or dragon slayer might be and hopefully that does the trick. Except after doing that a bunch of times and seeing it clearly hasn't worked, so the next "logical step" to that is to just burn the whole world down. It's said that the transformation corrupted his mind, and shown in the flashbacks that hatred and rage consumed his thoughts, so I see no reason why 400 years of playing cat and mouse would finally make him snap and go nuclear, especially once the time rift gives him the means to carry out the nuclear option.
Forgot this one other thought I had and don't know where else to slip it but: iirc Gildarts encountered Acnologia at Zonia Mountain, which is still in northern Fiore. Lines said during 100 Years Quest suggest Gildarts did meet Elefseria, but given Elefseria himself doesn't know where the Dragon Gods are, I reckon what happened was Gildarts - left to his own devices to track them down - accidentally mistook sightings of Acnologia for one of the Dragon Gods and followed him to Zonia Mountain. The fact Guiltina is north of Fiore, and Zonia Mountain is in the northern parts of Fiore, support Gildarts leaving Guiltina and reaching Fiore again. You could even say the reason Acnologia was close enough to Guiltina and Fiore in the first place was due to him patrolling the area for Ignia or Mercphobia (Mercphobia does seem to patrol the seas himself, since he saves people like Karameel from drowning).

For Acnologia 30 years is nothing so it is most likely that he was hibernating or simply did not see them because his power was not so much to find them.
For similar reasons to Mercphobia, Aldoron's scent was also possibly being masked. He had an entire forest ecosystem growing on his back. All those plants producing all those different scents could have hidden his scent and made it hard to tell his apart from that of all the surrounding plants it was mixed with. Natsu wasn't able to smell him either even though they were standing right on top of him, so this could have been the case.
i get that but the question is how did he vanish from acnologia because we all know that acnologia won't leave unless he is beaten or he killed that tree dragon. that's the hole in this whole story. because there is no way that aldoron can damage acnologia by using magic and his slow ass can't attack him physically.

Actually the Dragon Gods were kind of a thing back in God Serena’s backstory IIRC where he supposedly traveled to another continent to kill them, though we later found out he sold out to them for power.
The answer to the title is in the 1st episode of 100 YQ: They fucking went into hiding.
You know I feel like this whole thing would have been avoided if they said the dragon gods just slightly sealed off the continent to hide from Acnologia masking their presence until they felt they were ready to take on Acnologia. This would keep the hype for Acnologia as the strongest in the series and give a good reason why Acnologia never knew about them.
I still think Acnologia could have stopped Natsus Spirit Bomb Friendship Punch. He could have used his foot, or tanked it with his face. That would have been cool.

On the Dragon Gods being a "retcon" I wouldn't be so sure, cause they were mentioned in Chapter 470 of the original series by August while praising God Serena and that does come back when we meet him again during the Dogramag Arc

I think very simply like with Animus Acnologia stomped him and thought he would have died on his own without needing to deal the final blow, not expecting they had ways to keep on living despite all those injuries

And for the Giltena situation in general to me it seem the dragons were pretty much way more hidden than the ones in Ishgar and Alakitasia

I just think it's quite simple. Acnologia was a dragon slayer. He could only sense Dragon Slayers. He could not sense other type of Dragons including pure dragons like Igneel, he would have had to physically encounter them or he just sense them less strong, for sure if they are in hiding.

Acnologia took advantage to kill most dragon when they weaker because of Ethernano. Igneel came to future to heal his wound and gain his power. But he couldn't do it because of sleeping inside natsu.

Acnologia almost lost to a half dead Igneel is because Igneel had more experience than acnologia, Igneel presumably was a beast back then when the civil war erupted, Igneel lost because Acnologia had attained immunity to any sorts of magic and on the other hand Acnologia's power is dragon slaying magic hence Igneel lost, even Igneel would be enough to woop Ignia's a** or any "Dragon Gods". In short, Acnologia would've slaughtered the so called "Dragon Gods". So Dragon Slaying Magic > Dragon power. This is from what I've observed from the series and the recent manga
acnologia never fought any of them before lmao, you saw how strong and invincible he is to magic and you might also saw his ultra hatred towards dragons when he one shot Gserena and desecrated Irene. everything in 100 year quest is BS that atleast one of them can rival acnologia they were hiding for a reason. the story of 100 year quest is basically what boruto is to naruto anime.
If you actually read the manga and saw the video you’d know he was confirmed to fight at least one of them
100 Years Quest is a sequel to continue the adventure and adds more to the world of the series. Also Serena and Irene are dragon slayers not pure dragons there’s a difference. Irene is strong but her bag of tricks kept her alive for centuries
Also I won’t lie Boruto was surprisingly good once I gave it a chance. Manga has been pretty good for awhile now imo
@@TheGreekWeeb confirmed to make sense the 100 year quest plot BS nothing more. boruto sucks because of the too much tech for a ninja focused anime, fewer hand signs to activate a technique like everybody are geniuses now. i was talk about the hatred for dragons and by extension dragon slayers because acnologia had been calling them dragons. acnologia would never leave a dragon alive he saw one just like when he fought igneel, just like when he fought any kind of dragon/dragon slayers. i never once saw acnologia in any panel before this 100 year quest shit. each and every acnologia scene was he was chasing someone or leaving the battle after he won.

In truth it’s probably a retcon by Mashima and nothing really contradicts since Acnologia didn’t go hunt Irene and the other slayers over 400 years
The dragon gods hid and got stronger overtime for a stalemate. ALDORON fought Acnologia and was heavily injured afterwards which is why he had his cores to begin with. If they can hide effectively Acnologia can’t track them down it’s that simple and the dragons aren’t idiots they can choose not to fight.
Saying it’s plot BS isn’t an argument cause stories are driven by plot. We get reason and hints as to why this is. That’s what the video is trying explain. Also Boruto is fine as it’s a time of peace without much need to for Ninjas anytime that’s the point of the technology advancements.
I didn’t like Boruto at first too but I haven’t a shot and it was pretty good. Story picks up once Kawaki gets introduced and the time skip was been incredible so far.

Igneel with no soul and barely any magical power gave acnologia a fight. Although earthland faris got acnologia arm and ignia is about to go test itself against acnologia arm just proves my point mashima scaling is inconsistent

it's directly stated twice that they're about as strong as Acnologia.
Aldoron vs Acno happened at least 400-300 years ago meaning some of them already had enough power to make Acno gave up on fighting them
and they possibly got stronger based on Ignia saying they are and it shows enough when they've been nerfed the whole time
From the start the dragon gods have been compared to Acno, Natsu saw and fought him at least 3× he'd have commented if they weren't on or above Acno's level
Acno arm and Faris is still a mystery we don't know how strong she is with and without the arm and her only feat is a draw test clash with human form Ignia
and we know human forms nerf them further due to Selene
only exception to human form nerf are Aldoron and Dogramag
As their true body is it's own landmass and their "human form" is just a significant part of it
unlike the rest who practically turned their whole dragon body into human form
The seals don't really change anything if anything it makes them more impressive and to be fair to Acno all feats he did before time rift were all holding back so for now we can only say they still within the same tier just the main 5 gods significantly has more raw power
They went into hiding and by the time he finally found out about them the chances of him beating them were 50/50 and he didn’t want to take those chances same reason zeref didn’t challenge acnologia even tho he had immortality in his side

Acnologia know dragon god. Ignia was destroying country to train himself. Aldron was so big that 5 town were in his body. Acnologia know that fighting a single dragon god at their power will kill him or wound him that he easily getting killed by another dragon.
Or second possibility is that acnologia thought he goes to fight any dragon god and all 5 come together and kill him like an insect. He can't take all of them alone. Fighting a single would be dangerous for him.

the problem with your theory is that Acnologia would have already killed them 3 or 2 centuries in the past if he knew where they were, the fact is he didn't know.
That's it, Acnologia is a hermit, he didn't know about Natsu, Gajeel, Sting, Rogue and Wendy despite their information on dragon slaying magic being spread far and wide across Ishgar.
Gajeel at least would have some international renown as an S-class mage.
And the twin dragons of Saber tooth would be greatly renowned through Ishgar due to Grand Magic Games.
But they still lived, acnologia isn't omniscient, and Earthland is incredibly vast.
We haven't even seen the whole map of Ishgar only just the peninsula and there are a dozen countries there.

Igneel being half dead don't really mean shit since the dragons came to X777 to recover their fighting prowess by using the high amounts of ethernano in the atmosphere.
Igneel lost get over it, and just 1 or 2 years later, Acnologia became immensely stronger once he shook off the rust as commented by Erza.
That version of Acnologia easily beats Igneel, Acnologia has to be THAT strong, dude was a mad dragon that slaughtered dragons on sight.
