Thyssenkrupp Hydraulic HIGH draulic elevator @ Sheraton Hotel Roanoke VA

- This is another HIGH draulic elevator. It also is low on fluid I believe as it shakes and groans while leveling on the 7th floor which you will hear. It was so loud and vibrated so bad that it distorted the mic in my camera! This hotel is a very friendly place towards photographers and the employees even encouraged me to photograph. @blakstermc The groaning noise/shaking are symptoms of a low oil level, causing the motor to briefly pump air rather than oil. It's not dangerous but it should be looked at to avoid unnecessary wear on the pump.

I got confused with the Impulse sets. There are 4 sets:
1) Custom Impulse
2) Dover Impulse
3) ThyssenDover Impulse
4) ThyssenKrupp Impulse
It can get confusing, but I know it's a true TK!

Sometimes elevators may take a while to return to your floor because sometimes other people need to use them.Its pretty weird how one elevator is on top of a short stair case and the other at the bottom in this hotel lobby.Its pretty funny.When your cell phone ranged it played a christmas carol "Jingle Bell Rock".
Update: As of December 31st 2019 this elevators have been taken out of service permanently

As confirmed in a recent video, both buildings are now apartments and they modded all five elevators to destination dispatch and added a wheelchair lift near these elevators

Normally on TK elevators, there is a delay between hitting the button and the door opening. This was immediate.
Please change the title as we now all know that these are actually Dover Impulse with restored TKE car panels.

@suzzex Not neccasarily, as Thyssen did a few impulse elevators/lifts after they bought Dover. So it may be a firm Thyssen, or a modernised.

I don't consider this a HIGHdraulic.Hydraulic elevators are for floors G-8 HIGHdraulics I would consider floors G-12 and Traction elevators are for any other number of floors
The way the elevators are at different heights, the hydraluic motors might be under the heigher up one.

Would this leveling issue make this elevator it dangerous to ride? Also I remember riding a 6 story otis elevator and it could have been either a hydraulic or geared traction, can't remember, but i do remember that it was groaning badly while leveling on the top floor. Are hydraulic elevators the only type of elevator that have the possibility or groaning and shaking while leveling up high?

It is dover but thyssen bought dover soon dover elevators will be somethig for a museum because thyssen krupp is changeingt the plates from dover to thyssen.

Nice elevator. Was this elevator an inground hydraulic? the interior is nice. There was squeaking and that horrible noise on the 7th floor though.
TheZekethunder - it’s low on oil. That means the pump pumps air instead of oil which is very bad for the impeller. Hope this helped!

Dover and Thyssenkrupp elevators us those fixtures.
Temple 92 there is no thyssenkrupp elevator that is relay controlled. At some point this elevator was a Dover
These are actually Dover. His other videos of these elevators say Dover. He has yet to change the title of this.
