Umuzi Festival Day 2 (2024)

The 17th of February brought us Day Two of UMUZI by BLANK! The morning started us off with graffiti workshops where students learned how to spray paint, rhythmic drum workshops on the Quad, a tea station in the Foyer and so much more.
The afternoon was filled with informative panels from our very own alumni including: The Business of Creativity, Intellectual Property and Ethical AI, Art for Social Change, and an exclusive WUNDERCHILD. listening party.
Later on, we enjoyed dinner at the containers surrounded by art and photography by students of our Africa Through The Lens and A-Level Art courses.
The sun set as the designs of Class of ‘22 Joyce Muraihi’s Furaha Couture (@furahacouture) left us in awe.
Finally, we gathered in the BUILD Lab to witness the first performance of “Uprooted”.
We commend BLANK and the Creative Arts Department for hosting a powerful event that celebrated the countless creative minds at the Academy!
