It was an official request from the executives and producers of the anime to compose & arrange the opening theme track for Vladlove. According to Asami in an interview, this track was also specifically written as the theme song for the protagonist in the anime - the vampire girl called Mai. When this song was first released, many said that it was impossible for the band to play this LIVE because of the extremely fast-paced and complex riffs/licks, but "impossible" is not part of these ladies' vocabulary.
They amazed me with their live performance of this one. I learnt that they can do it all live too. They've recently released a 2023 live video of "We The United". I hope to see you react to that one if you haven't already.
just when you hear an m+m solo that you would think they could never reproduce live - they just throw it back at you and melt your face because as usual they nail it in the 'heavy metal never dies' concert. they can do no wrong

no coincidence, but a sign of deep respect to one of her favourite guitarheroes: CoBs alexi laiho died on 29th of december. the video was shot in february 2021. midori, who almost always plays her purple ESP, shreds here on an alexi laiho style flying sharktooth v from ESP and even the short phrase at 7:10 seems to be a short hommage to AL. awesome song and video and great reaction.

Most anime OPs and EPs are commissioned from bands instead of the other way around. An anime studio will find a band they think will work with the show they are creating and have them make a new song. It's a win/win/win since the band gets some money for a song they could have written anyways, the studio hopefully gets a killer track to promote the show, and the fans get a new song. I don't really follow anime too closely and I sometimes find out weeks/months later that a song released by a band I like is an anime OP/EP. I still forget that PassCode has an anime OP. 🤭

With Fami? I know there are two versions of the Winds of Transylvania music video. With anime (VladLove version) and without anime. But in these two versions Miho plays bass. Winds of Transylvania from the EP Glory, Glory, to the World (2021). Miho (bass) also took part in the recording of this EP.
'Winds of Transylvania' should be given to beginning guitarists to listen to during their first lesson in music schools. So that they can hear to what perfection the sound and interaction of two guitars and a bass guitar can be brought.
You have given very good advice for beginning guitarists. 👍Critics didn't believe LoveBites could perform Winds of Transylvania live due to the complexity of the guitar parts? But LoveBites perform this song in concert as confidently as in the music video.

Great song and one of my favorites from LB in terms of solos. That run starting at 8:22 that builds toward more squeals from Midori's guitar is my favorite part of the song. Miho is doing some serious work during that run. As always, Haruna is great. I think this is the video shoot where she fell asleep on her drum kit.
