I was lucky enough to be born in the 1950's in Wisconsin so the Packers were the world to me. Still are. Of course I own a share of their stock. The glory years will always be a fond memory.
Loved Ray but let’s keep it in perspective he didn’t start for the first 2-3 years. Butkus was a day one starter the first day of summer camp. Put HOF Bill George on the bench
I always thought Nitschke didn't get enough credit because of Butkus
Butkus was asked once who he thought wast the toughest middle linebacker. He said Nitschke.
Agreed. I would add Tommy Nobis and Mike Lucci too!

64 , first number I ever wore playing football and it was an Honor . My favorite offensive lineman ever .
Kramer and Thurston on those power sweeps!! Poetry!!
Nitschke was incredible.Yeah, Butkus was great, too, but still. It was the golden age of football for me.
Butkus said Nitschke was the best.
I found his training camp stories great! As were Plimptons.

I used to know a guy who was an undergrad at UI with Nitschke. That's about all I can say about that 😅 JK is a national treasure.
