Sarah bareilles is very underrated as a phenomenal songwriter. She has written some amazing songs on par with anything by billy Joel ,dylan, joanie Mitchell, Elton John, and Lin Manuel Miranda.

Maya Allwardt It is really cool that some of my theatre friends are on Broadway or in National Tours! I actually went to NYC to see Caitlin and literally cried when she first came onstage. It's so cool to see your friends doing what they love.

i love this but her southern accent is really inconsistent. when it’s there it’s adorable and perfectly dawn, but it’s not always there

The guitar and her voice are out of tune during the verses. Otherwise, it’s great. She’s adorable! My favorite Dawn by far!!!
i dont think they're out of tune... the song itself just has a really odd chord progression
not only that but it sounds like the guy is playing one guitar part straight from the actual arrangement, usually the piano and other melody lines come together to make the song make far more sense melodically.
No, that’s how the song was written. It sounds like the original track. The chord progression is incredibly difficult but they mastered it.
I thought the same in the first couple seconds, but it sounds funky because it's a lower key than the stage/recording version.
