If you think 2 races for 1 upgrade is expensive, the you had never played NFS Most Wanted 2005. He didn't explained the card game, just said its stupid. If you want a specific part you can get is by locking it. You can lock also the boost you get from the card, for example acceleration or you lock the the boost you get when you have 3 of the same cards. That was no review, it was an opinion piece.

The upgrade system is fine. The freeroam cops from 2015 were nothing more than a nuisance. Payback's cops actually offer somewhat of a challenge. Yes, it would be nice if there were freeroam cops in Payback, but when you compare the two, Payback has better cops than 2015. And if you genuinely think the graphics look worse, you must be blind.

I find it really good with the unlocking system, where you have to spend time with the car you have in order to customise them. What do they expect? Forza horizon?. This game gave us more time to spend on our rides rather than doing races and races.

Parker Hammack MW2012 was a great game but I'd only give it an 8. There's no story which is minor as it's a burnout successor in all truth. The customization to car performance wasn't the issue for me but there was no customization to car's appearances. It was fun and the map and ost were great but even then there was no sense of reward and progression. The multiplayer was soooo great though. They put too much burnout and little to no NFS MW2005 and it pisses people off that it wears the name for no good reason but as an arcade racing game it was great.

I Enjoyed every second of Payback. Specially the story. Heat didn't focus on story which I don't like. yeah Heat is an improvement overall. But got boring quickly. Payback has something that kept me playing it

In my opinion they did a great job in this game, of course it has some flaws like no online free roam, or free roam chases which I do admit that they NEED to fix, but besides that they did everything fans were asking for, lots of costumization, lots of cars, a whole new map (which is way bigger that what I expected it to be). I honestly like this game a lot. I beat it yesterday morning &I got my bel air & c10 chevy all on a super off-road build it's so sick! You can't go wrong with this game man! They cherry picked so much stuff from racing games! 😍 Burnout 3 takedowns, Forza speed drift zones &a tuning, nfs ug customization, 2012 nfs billboard smashing, the list keeps going bruh I highly recommend this game to anybody!
I guess the opinions are very different on this one again. I'm the person who bought a Xbox One especially to try Forza Horizon 3, 6 and 7 which everyone talks so enthusiastically about. Well I didn't liked it that much, it's a great game and all but it doesn't fit my play-style so I sold my Xbox again. Reviews are just opinions watched in a big perspective, respect for all that but people take this so literally. I may sound as a fanboy but I really love Payback, it's not 100% solid but I really love to play it! I've been playing payback for 4 days now and I have 0 regrets of buying it. Btw guys don't forget they're doing this to make money, I can't agree or disagree with this channel. I recommend of just buying it and see for yourself. As a hardcore car enthousiast I really approve the work in NFS. I remember when games were just to chill and relax and have fun with your mates. That is the thing this game is meant to played for. Probably 90% of the people saying that underground 2 was the best game ever of the NFS franchise, well.. I bet if you'd replay it today you will not be satisfied because the gaming industry evolved so much today you really can't compare it with back in the day. Man you people are never happy, NFS goes Street Racing and half the fans complain that it's a series about super cars (which it was) so NFS goes back to super cars and no customization because surprise! In the real world super cars have very limited customization! But people still complain to bring it back to street racing! Which half the fan base was tired of! So they try to compromise with some experiments NFSHP and NFSRivals and on launch many of you complained! And now that NFS is taking another path people still complain saying that they should've kept going on the same path that y'all complained about! I feel bad for NFS developers, they will NEVER please the community because their hopes are so high on bringing back nostalgia. Have any of you even played NFSMW or Carbon lately??? The controls and road layouts were very awkward! Games evolve and those times are over! Nostalgia aside, it brought the cop chases from Hot Pursuit before it and elaborated with a better selection of cars and customization from Underground and Underground 2. The Black Box era of NFS games were pretty good. Funny thing is now people consider The Run to be good, and it is . But they didn't say that when it released.

EKspeed I would say improve physics, handling, Make the world a much bigger place, downgrade the graphics and focus on adding more gameplay and things to do more cars more customization options more tuning and overall make every car playable because 2015 barely every car was playable without crashing every 5 minutes
I dont think so, check out the Need for Speed reddit theres alot of testimonials/reviews of the game from people who played the trial and by looks of it I think it is not a flop. But its definitely got room to improve on.
i actually enjoyed this a LOT i tend to love games like these, grinding on beating racers and then beat the boss. Tthese kinds of games is the one i actually like, just a ton of work with a lot of fun too. I'd give this game 9/10, with 28 hours of story mode and easy to master gameplay, it's just fun.
This is not like grinding for fun but it's like you're being sentenced to grind. Nfs had made games before which didn't require you to grind this much and you still spend enough game hours to put a smile on your face. In This game its like playing 10 races repeatedly just to get enough money to upgrade your car and finish one small mission.
There is no way this game could be worse than NFS 2015. It has improved upon many things yet this reviewer gave it a low score because of performance upgrades, how you have to actually use the car to earn customization parts, and how the story is too blockbuster-ish. Score should be much higher IMO.

To be honest I’ve gotten bored of Asseto crosa {I’m not saying this game is better} and this game made me so exited when saw the customisation and finally making some thing yours unlike asseto Corsa you can only download mods or make them and who wants to spend days on marking a mod car I’m gonna give it a try I’ve been playing to much real sim games that is starting to bore me time to freshen up

How speed cards work: Speed cards are a part upgrade system split into a few different "brands" that will give you a bonus based on how many of the same one you have on. You can obtain speed cards by buying them through the part shops with either money, or trying your luck with part tokens you obtain through crates or trading speed cards you get from winning races. Could be been said in less then a minute

Morgan Gautreau I don't know if you have played the older nfs games like 2005's most wanted and 2006's carbon, but both of these games are great in my opinion and in most of the nfs fanbase. Secondly Forza 7 and nfs are shooting for completely different markets. One is a simulation racer and the other is a arcade racer, which I am a fan of the latter. However if you mean the forza horizon game's I can see your point. Many people would call the newest forza horizon a much better game. However I am just glad to see Ghost (the development team for the last three nfs games) is slowly but surely improving the franchise in ways that make me think they could take it back to the days of the mid 2000's. Lastly if Ghost were to stop making nfs games what would they do instead? Would they stick with the racing genre just with a new ip or make games in a completely new genre for them?
I am sorry but this review is completely biased. First of all, as evidence, IGN gave Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012 a 9/10, and gave Payback 5.9.10. This review is coming from IGN's representer who claims to have completed the whole campaign, however, it seems that this person has been forced to play it meaning his opinions were biased negatively. Complaining about all the small details that I, and many other fans, find very positive. Such as the performance upgrades, you get the option to buy it, and gamble it, which is what he was complaining about. A different method is a great feature. Another feature is unlocking the body parts customization; it was really fun and allowed me to explore the game in more detail, it was not hard, given the fact I managed to complete all of them by the time I was done with the Highway Heist. The representer was complaining about the wrong things, missing some true issues such as the lack of online frearoam, or freeroam cop chases (he barely taps on this), and this is what truly dropped the game's quality, instead, he complained about the difficulty of the grinding, when I found it balanced and well made, I was able to afford the Pagani Huayra (which costs nearly 1 million) well before I managed to unlock it, and I even had bought a car before that for off-roading. Overall, Need for Speed Payback was a huge step forward in the right direction, it was well polished, and was filled with entertaining content. The rating I would give this is an 8/10, and once they have added online freeroam and cop chases, then I think Payback will be an iconic 10/10.
I personally agree with everything that was said. I hated spending the first 2 hours in the game trying to unlock all the visual customization options, and grinding for trading cards ripped straight out of NFS No Limits was a total letdown. I personally thought the story was ok, not good but it's a racing game so what do you expect. Still better than most FPS games. Having no cops to stop me in freeroam makes the game feel empty as well. The bait crates seem like an excuse for not putting cops into freeroam. However, you totally messed up with that awful score. 5.9? are you kidding me? The negatives that I just mentioned are the only bad points of the game. Everything else is perfect. The car list focuses on quality not quantity (play Forza if you want quantity) and once you unlock all the visual customization you'll find it to be the most in depth customization in any racing game. Ever. Not only that but Ghost and EA listened to the fans. They gave us everything that we wanted, which is something that many game developers seemingly refuse to do. For that effort and what the final product is, I'd give it at least a 7 out of 10. Not to mention that the devs will continue to hear what we have to say and come out with updates later on. Everyone is groaning about the cop situation, so I expect we'll get cops in freeroam sometime in the future.

every need for speed game since ghost decided to have a 2 year development cycle is flawed, i can accpet rivals faults because it had an actual development time of few months.
Burnout will never happen. The people who worked on Burnout left Criterion after EA demanded too much from them in exchange for too little which caused them to leave the studio back in 2012 and setup their own studio. Those people now have their own game called Danger Zone on Steam. It's Burnout in a way but only has a crash mode in it. No racing.
They got literally everything spot on in this game IMO, other than the resetting when you try to jump off a mountain and the performance upgrade system - which, to be honest, unless you want to max out every car you own, is not bad. I would've preferred to have 2015's upgrade system, but I completed the whole game without any grinding or microtransactions, while playing on medium and sometimes hard. I only grind now to max out my cars.
Why everyone hate so much in this game? This is my first NFS ever, I got it with PS Plus and in freaking obsessed with it! All the complains in this video are extremely exaggerated, I level up only playing online races... o played online a few days and I went straight to level 360. I’m looking for other NFS to buy because this one got me in love, but I honestly been watching playthroughs on TH-cam and the other games feel bland to me... I had no idea this one the only one with off read races. I believe I’m going to buy Heat, is the only one that convence me, and maybe 2015. Rivals was boring... and the last gen games... I don’t know, Shift was boring also, the other ones I don’t know.

Parker Hammack MW2012 was a great game but I'd only give it an 8. There's no story which is minor as it's a burnout successor in all truth. The customization to car performance wasn't the issue for me but there was no customization to car's appearances. It was fun and the map and ost were great but even then there was no sense of reward and progression. The multiplayer was soooo great though. They put too much burnout and little to no NFS MW2005 and it pisses people off that it wears the name for no good reason but as an arcade racing game it was great.
MW2012 is an amazing game on consoles. It's garbage only on PC.

I Enjoyed every second of Payback. Specially the story. Heat didn't focus on story which I don't like. yeah Heat is an improvement overall. But got boring quickly. Payback has something that kept me playing it

In my opinion they did a great job in this game, of course it has some flaws like no online free roam, or free roam chases which I do admit that they NEED to fix, but besides that they did everything fans were asking for, lots of costumization, lots of cars, a whole new map (which is way bigger that what I expected it to be). As a fan I am really happy with what they have done, of course if you’re not aware of the nfs community like this guy that reviewed this game, you will not understand the game and what they changed and you will not end up liking it, so I think that the rating they gave to this game is just stupid, a real nfs fan would give it at least a 8

I honestly like this game a lot. I beat it yesterday morning &I got my bel air & c10 chevy all on a super off-road build it's so sick! You can't go wrong with this game man! They cherry picked so much stuff from racing games! 😍 Burnout 3 takedowns, Forza speed drift zones &a tuning, nfs ug customization, 2012 nfs billboard smashing, the list keeps going bruh

I guess the opinions are very different on this one again. I'm the person who bought a Xbox One especially to try Forza Horizon 3, 6 and 7 which everyone talks so enthusiastically about. Well I didn't liked it that much, it's a great game and all but it doesn't fit my play-style so I sold my Xbox again.
Reviews are just opinions watched in a big perspective, respect for all that but people take this so literally. I may sound as a fanboy but I really love Payback, it's not 100% solid but I really love to play it! I've been playing payback for 4 days now and I have 0 regrets of buying it.
Btw guys don't forget they're doing this to make money, I can't agree or disagree with this channel. I recommend of just buying it and see for yourself.
As a hardcore car enthousiast I really approve the work in NFS. I remember when games were just to chill and relax and have fun with your mates. That is the thing this game is meant to played for. Probably 90% of the people saying that underground 2 was the best game ever of the NFS franchise, well.. I bet if you'd replay it today you will not be satisfied because the gaming industry evolved so much today you really can't compare it with back in the day.

Man you people are never happy, NFS goes Street Racing and half the fans complain that it's a series about super cars (which it was) so NFS goes back to super cars and no customization because surprise! In the real world super cars have very limited customization! But people still complain to bring it back to street racing! Which half the fan base was tired of! So they try to compromise with some experiments NFSHP and NFSRivals and on launch many of you complained! And now that NFS is taking another path people still complain saying that they should've kept going on the same path that y'all complained about! I feel bad for NFS developers, they will NEVER please the community because their hopes are so high on bringing back nostalgia. Have any of you even played NFSMW or Carbon lately??? The controls and road layouts were very awkward! Games evolve and those times are over! Nostalgia aside, it brought the cop chases from Hot Pursuit before it and elaborated with a better selection of cars and customization from Underground and Underground 2. The Black Box era of NFS games were pretty good. Funny thing is now people consider The Run to be good, and it is . But they didn't say that when it released.

EKspeed I would say improve physics, handling, Make the world a much bigger place, downgrade the graphics and focus on adding more gameplay and things to do more cars more customization options more tuning and overall make every car playable because 2015 barely every car was playable without crashing every 5 minutes

This is not like grinding for fun but it's like you're being sentenced to grind. Nfs had made games before which didn't require you to grind this much and you still spend enough game hours to put a smile on your face. In This game its like playing 10 races repeatedly just to get enough money to upgrade your car and finish one small mission.

There is no way this game could be worse than NFS 2015. It has improved upon many things yet this reviewer gave it a low score because of performance upgrades, how you have to actually use the car to earn customization parts, and how the story is too blockbuster-ish. Score should be much higher IMO.

The game to me is fine the challenging part is the off-road races and the female bosses are the toughest in the game so far just because they are girls doesnt mean they wont put up a fight.
I agree with a lot of people, I loved this game and I can't see how they can give it such a low score. I believe it gambled and did do well, yes it needs some tweaking but I enjoyed it a lot and loved the customization.The upgrade system was fine I think, it didn't bother me. I give it an 8.

How speed cards work:
Speed cards are a part upgrade system split into a few different "brands" that will give you a bonus based on how many of the same one you have on.
You can obtain speed cards by buying them through the part shops with either money, or trying your luck with part tokens you obtain through crates or trading speed cards you get from winning races.

Morgan Gautreau I don't know if you have played the older nfs games like 2005's most wanted and 2006's carbon, but both of these games are great in my opinion and in most of the nfs fanbase. Secondly Forza 7 and nfs are shooting for completely different markets. One is a simulation racer and the other is a arcade racer, which I am a fan of the latter. However if you mean the forza horizon game's I can see your point. Many people would call the newest forza horizon a much better game. However I am just glad to see Ghost (the development team for the last three nfs games) is slowly but surely improving the franchise in ways that make me think they could take it back to the days of the mid 2000's. Lastly if Ghost were to stop making nfs games what would they do instead? Would they stick with the racing genre just with a new ip or make games in a completely new genre for them?

I am sorry but this review is completely biased. First of all, as evidence, IGN gave Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012 a 9/10, and gave Payback 5.9.10. This review is coming from IGN's representer who claims to have completed the whole campaign, however, it seems that this person has been forced to play it meaning his opinions were biased negatively. Complaining about all the small details that I, and many other fans, find very positive. Such as the performance upgrades, you get the option to buy it, and gamble it, which is what he was complaining about. A different method is a great feature. Another feature is unlocking the body parts customization; it was really fun and allowed me to explore the game in more detail, it was not hard, given the fact I managed to complete all of them by the time I was done with the Highway Heist. The representer was complaining about the wrong things, missing some true issues such as the lack of online frearoam, or freeroam cop chases (he barely taps on this), and this is what truly dropped the game's quality, instead, he complained about the difficulty of the grinding, when I found it balanced and well made, I was able to afford the Pagani Huayra (which costs nearly 1 million) well before I managed to unlock it, and I even had bought a car before that for off-roading. Overall, Need for Speed Payback was a huge step forward in the right direction, it was well polished, and was filled with entertaining content. The rating I would give this is an 8/10, and once they have added online freeroam and cop chases, then I think Payback will be an iconic 10/10.

I personally agree with everything that was said. I hated spending the first 2 hours in the game trying to unlock all the visual customization options, and grinding for trading cards ripped straight out of NFS No Limits was a total letdown. I personally thought the story was ok, not good but it's a racing game so what do you expect. Still better than most FPS games. Having no cops to stop me in freeroam makes the game feel empty as well. The bait crates seem like an excuse for not putting cops into freeroam. However, you totally messed up with that awful score. 5.9? are you kidding me? The negatives that I just mentioned are the only bad points of the game. Everything else is perfect. The car list focuses on quality not quantity (play Forza if you want quantity) and once you unlock all the visual customization you'll find it to be the most in depth customization in any racing game. Ever. Not only that but Ghost and EA listened to the fans. They gave us everything that we wanted, which is something that many game developers seemingly refuse to do. For that effort and what the final product is, I'd give it at least a 7 out of 10. Not to mention that the devs will continue to hear what we have to say and come out with updates later on. Everyone is groaning about the cop situation, so I expect we'll get cops in freeroam sometime in the future.

Burnout will never happen. The people who worked on Burnout left Criterion after EA demanded too much from them in exchange for too little which caused them to leave the studio back in 2012 and setup their own studio. Those people now have their own game called Danger Zone on Steam. It's Burnout in a way but only has a crash mode in it. No racing.

They got literally everything spot on in this game IMO, other than the resetting when you try to jump off a mountain and the performance upgrade system - which, to be honest, unless you want to max out every car you own, is not bad. I would've preferred to have 2015's upgrade system, but I completed the whole game without any grinding or microtransactions, while playing on medium and sometimes hard. I only grind now to max out my cars.

Why everyone hate so much in this game? This is my first NFS ever, I got it with PS Plus and in freaking obsessed with it! All the complains in this video are extremely exaggerated, I level up only playing online races... o played online a few days and I went straight to level 360.
I’m looking for other NFS to buy because this one got me in love, but I honestly been watching playthroughs on TH-cam and the other games feel bland to me... I had no idea this one the only one with off read races. I believe I’m going to buy Heat, is the only one that convence me, and maybe 2015. Rivals was boring... and the last gen games... I don’t know, Shift was boring also, the other ones I don’t know.
Well, it's on sale for €4,99. I guess I'll check it out.
