I don't know why I got emotional watching this one. But as you were chipping away at the concrete, and exposing the original floor, I starting thinking abt the fact that your convent is as old as the country, America, I live in. Seeing you bring it back to its original beauty is beautiful. Thank you Billy Petherick.
We true Americans, who believe in truth and justice and our Constitution will build back our beautiful democracy, from the ashes, better and stronger! 💙
I generally hate demolitions. In program after program they attack some beautiful old house or chateau and instead of saving them, they turn them into bare shells filled with modern... Not so here. . Other than your charming selves, I really love how you reveal her true bones and reinstate this magnificent building! A pleasure from day one! ❤❤❤
Wow! Just wow. I can’t help wondering what the nuns were feeling when they stepped through the door and ascended the staircase for the first time, 250 years ago. They would have seen the beamed ceiling, and possibly the granite floor. The scent of new wood and plaster….and we are getting this little glimpse of their past as you take the convent into the future. Thank you, Billy, and team, for this journey full of past echoes and new dreams.
Yannis has become an essential part of the renovation. It's been great to watch his progress. He's a solid worker, never complains, learns quickly, always positive, and has oodles of energy.
Never thought I’d like watching demolition, but finding the treasures of original marble flooring and exposing the whole of the staircase is brilliant.
The music for the working-ethos/-epos is greate! It' like watshing a natural spectacle (river/ waterfall evolving). Its creats harmony and shows ebb and flow of this building structure in the infinity of life. Very poetic picturs!
Thank you, Billy, for always being so decent when you talk to the camera, and for working so hard. A real inspiration and sense of steadiness in a world where it's so easy to answer "why?" to duty and responsibilities. Let's instead start saying "let's crack on!" and get things done 👍🏼
These buildings and grounds couldn't ask for better people to help bring out the best in what they are and can be. Love seeing the progress and truly hope to visit it one day. Bravo you all are doing such great work. Insperational job in all you have done with these great old places. Been following the family vlogs sence 2019.
I am loving the staircase reveal. So exciting to see her come back. I hope it is as rewarding for you as it is for us to watch. Thank you for taking on this gorgeous building and it's history.
I love what your doing by bringing it back to its original glory ❤ . I am sitting here thinking about the stone floor, how many people walked across it before it was covered.. again thank you. An after thought… like the wagon ruts in Pompeii, It just touches me in away that’s deeply somewhat moving.
Billy, you need to invest in a bigger jackhammer. You need a taller jackhammer so you don't have to bend over as much to save your back. The process you have made is just amazing. The staircase is beautiful.
You are still bringing the Wow Billy. When I see the clock hit 12:30 if I am not busy or even when I come come to this vlog to keep going. To find my own Wow in life and realize even if the work looks like a mountain just remove one bit of the rubble at a time..😊
Billy never would have know this staircase was so BEAUTIFUL … and there was this amazing floor hidden .. What art …… thank you and the tram for bringing its magnificence back to the world
It is wonderful that you all clean up as you go. It makes your progress easier to see and appreciate! I am enjoying all of the beauty that you are bringing back to life. Thank you❤
You so did the right thing, Billy, taking the time needed to get the old structure back. Already it’s obvious how beautiful it was and will be again. You really have the dream team!
It's amazing that Billy can walk through rooms I still didn't know exist. He may need to supply loaner GPSs to vistors. "You are here. Your guide will be with you shortly."
Billy, this needs to become the grand entrance! This will be gorgeous! the sweeping staircase and the large room will be amazing as the entrance to the convent.
I was wondering when you wouldget some chairs to sit on in the kitchen. Only just saw them and oh this is marvelous now you are bring back the sight of the lovely original floor!
So love the music, just puts you in the mood for discoveries and demolition, that Yanis (and Steve) are demo machines, though the sledge looks like it weighs as much as Yanis, they look like they're having as much fun as you Billy...that floor is gonna be so much fun to add furnishings to...sledge on boyz...!
In a word….perseverance! And goodness, all you men have it!! You have gathered yourself a stellar team, Billy! Bless each of you! Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻
I’m so baffled on why they did that remodel with all of the cement, overkill. The ugly walls, covering everything up. Thank goodness you are reverting it back to the way it was. ❤
I guess it’s partly fire protection and also that at one time there was a misguided obsession with everything looking new-ish, and they were after as much of a clinical feel as possible, with its being a hospital. I agree it’s great to see the beauty being reclaimed ❤
Steve and his demo sledgehammer are back, Yeah! I simply cannot understand how, after each hard grueling day, you all keep going. Especially Mr Petherick Sr. You are either all freaks of nature, or just very very stubborn. 😊
I was watching one of those years long renovations condensed into 30 min. Yes they did a tremendous amount of work, and yes it was pretty, BUT they made it look modern with a few nick knacks scattered around. It didn't move me. The stone floor in front of the staircase and in the hallway in the convent brought tears to my eyes. My family move to America in the 1600's. There was a family house that was probably built a little later with those wide plank floors, a large walkin fireplace and big slabs of granite for the front steps. I loved that house.
I hope you all get chance for some well deserved rest and relaxation at the end of the day, taking out all that concrete looks like an absolutely gruelling task!
I'm not even a minute in yet and wow, love that place. Hope you preserve it original. Take my advice, I've messed up a lot of rare history and you'll regret it forever. You can NEVER put it back to original. Your place is really huge and wonderful. Lucky you!
Everyone should wear head gear to block sound from the jack hammer. It can cause hearing damage, especially inside a building. And everyone needs saftey glasses for flying chips. The floor is so awesome!
Billy, I can't believe I've been following your channel for so long. I look forward every day to you to taking us all along for the ride. Yanis, what a man, for somebody so small in the way of his build he is superman when it comes to strength. Thank you, Qwen, for putting up with Billy's plans as I know it has to be taxing as he lives and breathes work. Kathy USA
Hello, in places where the concrete is directly on the granite and a stain remains, you can dissolve it with low-percent hydrochloric acid or concentrated vinegar. But be careful and protect yourself.
Is it possabile to find someone who could use ground penetrating radar to tell you what might be below the granit slabs? Just a thought. The room looks so much bigger now that all the concrete is removed. You all work so hard. Thank you for taking us along.
I really appreciate that you post daily. It’s sometimes the highlight of my day ❤
mine too!
Mine is the highlight every single day ❤
Me as well!
💯...double time this particular week...✨
Same. I live in the west coast of the USA, so I'm looking for my daily fix around 10:30am my time. 😁

I feel like that alot. Its a very special place. But im still upset at the idea of a bar next to the chapel w the organ!
@@jannyleigh47 They de-consecrated it. He mentioned it in a different video.

They are still so easy to dismiss, aren't they. All others are immigrants.

I was thinking this myself
It is so exciting to watch you uncover history!
The granite floors are such a gift! I love them!
Yes, Yanis is an amazing young man. You are very lucky to have him.
Yannis has become an essential part of the renovation. It's been great to watch his progress. He's a solid worker, never complains, learns quickly, always positive, and has oodles of energy.

That stone floor is going to be so awesome!
The more you remove, the more I can feel the old girl breath more deeply. All that you're doing is amazing.
love following along with the progress - what a transformation. another great video, Billy! always love your music selections.

Yanis is like the duracell bunny he just keeps going
Yes! I have thought that often. ❤😊
I have been thinking the same!
I agree, Yanis is a machine and he really loves doing demolition. You have an amazing and hard working team.
Billy, you need to invest in a bigger jackhammer. You need a taller jackhammer so you don't have to bend over as much to save your back. The process you have made is just amazing. The staircase is beautiful.
An amazing new space…It is surreal in appearance. You are exposing it’s true antiquity. Thanks for sharing your adventure remodeling the old convent.
You have great vision Billy. It's already looking pretty awesome 😍
Would not miss a viewing for the world! Well done Team Billy. So exciting👏👏❤❤👌👌
You are still bringing the Wow Billy. When I see the clock hit 12:30 if I am not busy or even when I come come to this vlog to keep going. To find my own Wow in life and realize even if the work looks like a mountain just remove one bit of the rubble at a time..😊
Billy! The staircase needs the window! Maybe if you find a stained glass window at an antique store? It would bring a beautiful look to the stairs.
I love the big open room
It really is finding buried Treasure!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great progress and awesome that you have the original floor it's going to look amazing
Seems the reward for your work is seeing history staring back at you. You guys are amazing. I really needed this today. Thanks.
Billy never would have know this staircase was so BEAUTIFUL … and there was this amazing floor hidden .. What art …… thank you and the tram for bringing its magnificence back to the world
It's hard to imagine how much material was added to the building in the 70's-80's, and how much you are able to remove today.
18th century floor is amazing. An Archaeologist dream finding such a gem.
It is wonderful that you all clean up as you go. It makes your progress easier to see and appreciate! I am enjoying all of the beauty that you are bringing back to life. Thank you❤
BRILLIANT!
You so did the right thing, Billy, taking the time needed to get the old structure back. Already it’s obvious how beautiful it was and will be again. You really have the dream team!
I love your vision Billy. That staircase is awesome.. Love the stone at the bottom. You guys work so hard!!! See you all tomorrow

Awesome job guys..!! Steve's got the right "swing" on that sledge hammer.. What teamwork.!!
The grand staircase should be a feature of the convent.
Great idea to expose the original floor! ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, so lucky it's still under there! Thanks for showing us!

Lucky you!
Billy you are the best project manager for this renovation and on top of that your video skills are amazing. Thank you.
Steve and Yanis! Double teamed that wall.
Aahhh, another beautiful floor for Billy! Just what keeps him going.
That wall didn’t really want to come down! Talk about group effort, wow!
It just keeps getting better and better! What a privilege to bring the old building back to life! ❤
Looking great so far!
Everyone should wear head gear to block sound from the jack hammer. It can cause hearing damage, especially inside a building. And everyone needs saftey glasses for flying chips. The floor is so awesome!
You have unearthed a time machine and taken us back to the birth of the convent.
