    I was beginning to wonder if there was going to be anything left of that forging. Nice work!

    Wow, 85mm down to just shy of 20mm, my 'home engineering' brain can't think past the fact that there should be another 2 rings made from the off-cut of this piece! 😄

    Relatively delicate work.

    Man that is a lot of material to cut. Couldn't they do it thinner? Wouldn't it speed up all the process?

    Was there lot of material stress released when remove such a huge amount of material ?

    @RR62JAG 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That was so much material removed, is that so you can have the best quality material leftover?

    It would seem that a grinding head to debark the forging would save time and tools .

    혹시 한국분이신가요??? 다른 동영상 보면 현장은 한국인것 같은데... 채널명도 한국분인것 같구... 근데 캡션은 전부 영어라 실례일지도 모르지만 여쭙습니다.
    그리구 대형장비 역시 매력있네요~~
    전 CMM 다루는터라 가공은 잘 모르지만 저희쪽은 커봐야 MCT 8호 사이즈가 전부라~~ 암튼 멋지십니다!!!

      맞습니다. 댓글 감사드립니다. 대형장비이지만 요즘은 일이 많지 않아서 주로 작은 제품이 의뢰가 많네요. 우리 모두 안전이 최고죠! 항상 안전한 작업하시고 화이팅입니다!

    What is left of that big ring is sure beautiful. Did I understand correctly that this ring will be part of a lathe?

    • @jamespark_85machiningtv

      Hello, Bruce.That's right, vertical lathe table support plate. This part will be grinded on the top and bottom surface.

    Did you finally get a new controller for the machine or is it just a different machine to normal?

    Why were the clamps needed? Would the standard clamps damage the finished surface if too tight?

    • @colcloughjack
      @colcloughjack 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The clamps will used to mainly stop the job from spinning, the jaws will only be lightly tightened to prevent distorting the job too badly 👍

    The empty areas of the tool holder. Can you create steel shot filled bars to clamp in those positions to try to cut down on harmonics. Or put a ratchet strap around the od of the part for some operations to dampen harmonics. I hate to see what those harmonics are doing to your spindle bearings. Have you checked the deflection of your table to see if the spindle bearings need a preload adjustment?
