Henry, just like all the other older sm idols are hilarious and crazy. He also has a TH-cam channel where he does weird things but has a show called Henry Together where he collabs and highlights child musical prodigies and another show where he just hangs out and jams with other artists. This show was a collaboration between SM and Mystic Story after SM became a large shareholder in the company. Mystic Story is known for having amazing lyricists and musicians among their artists that are well known in the industry so they wanted to commemorate it by making a song together. Henry was pretty much in charge of the SM part and he was recruiting other people from sm to collab and mark was it. The other guy (Yoon Jong Shin) is the ceo of mystic story and is a legend in Korean music and the other two (Park Jaejung and Jo Jung Chi) are also really great artists from mystic story. Side not Jo Jung Chi is married to another artist (Choi Jung In) who has some really amazing songs and that’s why mark is like I like his wife lmao. I really do miss old variety shows where so many idols and artists would guest and interact with each other.
Henry is really funny as you can already tell, but he is also so musically gifted. He is one of those guys who can play any instrument they touch (specialising in violin though), and can make music from anything.
Henry was in Super Junior M and also a solo artist in SM but he left a few years ago. He also was in a few dramas like Oh My Venus. Also if you ever look at old performances of 'Don't Don' by Super Junior,Henry is playing violin in a part of the song (also a lot of 'fans' didn't like him and so they would always say that Super Junior was only 13 and not count Henry or Zhoumi who was also in Super Junior M as members. As you may know, Henry is considered a music genius. He was classically trained in violin and piano since the age of 6 and he had plans to go to college to study classical music. But the year he graduated high school he auditioned for SM Entertainment when they held auditions in Canada and he impressed them so much with his violin dance routine that they signed him right away. (After joining SM and debuting with SJM he did end up going to college. He got a full-ride scholarship to Berklee School of Music in New York and he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in music.) Henry was one of the Kpop industry's very first foreign artists, and he only trained for about a year before he debuted in Super Junior -- and that was only because he needed to learn Korean and become more proficient in Mandarin. He debuted with SuJu-M in 2008, so he has been a famous musician, artist, entertainer, producer, etc. for more than 14 years now. Now, before someone says "Henry is not a part of Super Junior any more," I want to point out that it has never officially been said that Henry has left Super Junior. Yes, he left SM in 2018 when his contract was up after 10 years, and started his own independent company called Monster Entertainment Group, but that doesn't necessarily mean he left the group. Some true fans are holding out hope that this means he still may collaborate with SJ on projects in the future. Super Junior-M is like the sub-Unit that promotes in China. They’ve been largely inactive the recent years because of the political tensions between South Korea and China. Out of all Super Junior-M members, Henry and Zhoumi are the only two not in the main group (fans protested that they be included, unfortunately). That’s why many fans call them OT 13+ 2 instead of OT15. Henry has since left SM though after his contract expired.
I think everyone else has already told you about Mark and Henry's friendship, (both in SM entertainment, both Canadian, etc.) I thought the same thing the first time I saw this video that they must be connected because they are both from Canada. I knew Henry was in SM and a sub-unit of Super Junior, but this was the first time I saw how crazy, funny, and outgoing Henry is. So I started looking into it, and found out all the info., but in these particular clips they are working together to collaborate with another singer, Parc Jae Jung (who is from Chicago) and with producer Yoon Jong Shin (who Henry keeps blasting as "old.") These clips are from a Korean show "Snowball Project" that does these kind of things with various K-pop artists. The song they made is "Lemonaid Love." If you want to laugh or are bored, look up anything with Henry Lau; you will definately laugh and won't be bored. But a friendly warning, Henry can be extreme. He is also an actor, so when he commits to a character or concept, he totally commits! LOL 😁🤩 😊 Henry is an amazing violinist and pianist. (Basically a music-genius as everyone else already said.) He also has his own TH-cam channel called "Henry Together." I'm not sure if he has done anything lately, but pre-pandemic he was going pretty strong on it.

The Snowball Project episodes 13 and 14 are great. It is basically Henry attempting to play instruments he's never played before followed by a jam session. Henry singing along to the accordion is from episode 14. Definitely worth a watch. You should check out his music as well, he's very talented.

I'm gonna introduce you to Henry a little. Henry Lau is a Chinese Canadian who lives in South Korea - America. He does music from early age and I'm not overreacting when I say that this man is a music genius. Literally. That's how people (not just) in Korea call him. He plays many instruments (especially violin, piano and guitar), he is a singer, producer, composer, songwriter and dancer and does beatbox sometimes. He also acts in some movies and shows. Apart of that he is a host of some shows and he is basically everywhere in Korean TV haha. He has also his TH-cam channel and does many different cool concepts. One of them is a show where he invites artists, interviews them a bit and then they make few covers in his car or anywhere they want. Whenever he covers a song, he does the arrangement himself in his own studio, which is in his house. There is a variety show called "Begin Again" where few artists from Korea go to different countries and they do busking. It's a really cool concept, one of my fav shows. It has 4 seasons and Henry is a main part of this show (along with other two artists) since season 2 (2018). Last season was in 2020 and they performed in Korea due to Covid. Last year they had a little reunion and did one long episode which was very nice. Since his hobby is mixing, he does mixing for his youtube covers as well as for some of the "Begin Again" performances. He also likes doing loop stations and few other of his covers from this show are made like that. I think you will never meet a person who is more talented. He can literally make music out of anything and he is so creative (viz. Believer cover) Apart of his talents, he is also an amazing human being. Very funny, charismatic, friend with everyone, loving and he makes everyone feel at ease. The cast members of "Begin Again" always talked about how he is the moodmaker and just like a kid who needs attention. Simply a whole package. Henry is definitelly one of my fav if not my favourite solo artist. I really hope you will check out more of Henry (songs, covers, fun videos..) I hope you can check out when he was on Jessi's show and then when she was on his youtube channel. They are great friends and it's always very chaotic. Henry was the 14th member of SuJu. I don't think Henry was even a trainee yet when Kyuhyun became the 13th member in 2006. Henry became "the mysterious violin player" in SuJu's "Don't Don" in 2007 and debuted as a member of SuJu-M in 2008. All together, including Henry and Zhoumi, Super Junior has 15 members.

Super Junior was originally created to be a "project group" which meant that SM Entertainment originally put the group together with members who had all different talents within the entertainment industry, as well as singing and dancing. When the group was created they were considered the super rookies of the company, so they were given the name Super Junior '05. The original purpose of the group was for the members to get more experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry, while they also worked as singers and dancers. For example, Shindong and Eunhyuk were supposed to be training as comedians and hosts, Siwon was an actor, etc. (That is why the members of Super Junior are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry today.) The original plan was that after about 3 to 6 months, when their company decided the members had gained enough experience, the individual members would graduate from the group and form other groups or move on to other careers within the entertainment industry, etc. and new members would be added to the group. However, Super Junior gained a very large and vocal Korean fandom even before they debuted, and when the fans heard about SM's plan to have the members of Super Junior leave the group, the fans got together and demanded that SM allow Super Junior to stay together. With large scale protests and purchasing enough shares of SM stocks, fans became voting members of SM Entertainment's board of directors and were able to force SM to promise that Super Junior would become a permanent group. E.L.F. (Ever Lasting Friends -- SJ's fandom) are some of the most loyal and vocal of all Kpop fans. Plus, I think one reason why fans were so upset about Super Junior '05's concept was the fact that the members of Super Junior were actually part of a larger group of trainees who the fans had watched go through an elimination process. The members who "made it" where the 5 members who originally became the members of TVXQ, and the members who formed Super Junior '05 were the "castoffs." But fans had already formed a bond with ALL the trainees, so they were upset that the other members who "didn't make it" (Super Junior members) might eventually disappear from the spotlight, etc. When Super Junior first debuted on Nov 6, 2005, they had 12 members, but 6 months later Kyuhyun was added to the group to officially make them a 13 member group. Then in 2008, SM created the industry's very first Mandarin Chinese sub-unit designed to bring Kpop to the Chinese market and they added 2 new members to Super Junior (Zhoumi and Henry) and Super Junior officially became a 15 member group. Henry is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian and Zhoumi is native Chinese. However, Zhoumi and Henry were only allowed to be members of Super Junior-M. And, even more exciting, is the fact that, for the first time in a long time, Zhoumi was back in Korea and he actually worked with Super Junior again. Zhoumi and Ryeowook (one of SuJu's main vocalists and a member of Super Junior-M) released a new song in 2020 called "Starry Night" and it has a Korean and Chinese version. Zhoumi is an actor, model, author, lyricist and songwriter/producer, etc. in China. If it wasn't for all the political issues he probably would have been in Korea working with Super Junior this whole time. But because he is only a member of Super Junior-M and they aren't active right now because they are unable to promote in China, Zhoumi has been doing other things with his career. So, as you can see, depending on the time period you will see a wide fluctuation in the number of members who are included in each of their songs, MVs and activities. Because they have such a large group with such a wide range of ages, the number of members have fluctuated over the years as the members have all taken their turns serving in the military, because of injury, and controversies that have caused some members to take time off, etc. However, most E.L.F. still consider all former members of SuJu to still be members of the group. Even if they officially left the group, we still consider them a member. Once a member, always a member.

A dog’s Journey is a really sweet movie. I cried so hard 😢. I got to Nct because of Henry Lau.
Henry, just like all the other older sm idols are hilarious and crazy. He also has a TH-cam channel where he does weird things but has a show called Henry Together where he collabs and highlights child musical prodigies and another show where he just hangs out and jams with other artists. This show was a collaboration between SM and Mystic Story after SM became a large shareholder in the company. Mystic Story is known for having amazing lyricists and musicians among their artists that are well known in the industry so they wanted to commemorate it by making a song together. Henry was pretty much in charge of the SM part and he was recruiting other people from sm to collab and mark was it. The other guy (Yoon Jong Shin) is the ceo of mystic story and is a legend in Korean music and the other two (Park Jaejung and Jo Jung Chi) are also really great artists from mystic story. Side not Jo Jung Chi is married to another artist (Choi Jung In) who has some really amazing songs and that’s why mark is like I like his wife lmao. I really do miss old variety shows where so many idols and artists would guest and interact with each other.
Henry is really funny as you can already tell, but he is also so musically gifted. He is one of those guys who can play any instrument they touch (specialising in violin though), and can make music from anything.

Henry was in Super Junior M and also a solo artist in SM but he left a few years ago. He also was in a few dramas like Oh My Venus. Also if you ever look at old performances of 'Don't Don' by Super Junior,Henry is playing violin in a part of the song (also a lot of 'fans' didn't like him and so they would always say that Super Junior was only 13 and not count Henry or Zhoumi who was also in Super Junior M as members. This is sad and Heechul would often say that those aren't fans if they talk like that about those two)

As you may know, Henry is considered a music genius. He was classically trained in violin and piano since the age of 6 and he had plans to go to college to study classical music. But the year he graduated high school he auditioned for SM Entertainment when they held auditions in Canada and he impressed them so much with his violin dance routine that they signed him right away. (After joining SM and debuting with SJM he did end up going to college. He got a full-ride scholarship to Berklee School of Music in New York and he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in music.)
Henry was one of the Kpop industry's very first foreign artists, and he only trained for about a year before he debuted in Super Junior -- and that was only because he needed to learn Korean and become more proficient in Mandarin. He debuted with SuJu-M in 2008, so he has been a famous musician, artist, entertainer, producer, etc. for more than 14 years now.
Now, before someone says "Henry is not a part of Super Junior any more," I want to point out that it has never officially been said that Henry has left Super Junior. Yes, he left SM in 2018 when his contract was up after 10 years, and started his own independent company called Monster Entertainment Group, but that doesn't necessarily mean he left the group. Some true fans are holding out hope that this means he still may collaborate with SJ on projects in the future. (He is still living and working in Korea and he is still in contact with all the SJ members, etc. Plus, Super Junior has their own music label so they are more free to collaborate and work with whomever they want.) After all, the 3 members of Girls' Generation who left SM have said they would like to do something similar in the future.That's why when Girls' Generation made their most recent comeback they did it as a sub-unit Oh!GG, because they weren't the full group. And even Taecyeon from 2PM left JYP Entertainment, but his new company has partnered with JYP to allow Taecyeon to continue activities with 2PM. So, it looks more promising all the time that if Henry ever wanted to do something with SJ again, he could. After all, Henry is one of Lee SooMan's (SM's) favorite people. (Even though SM may have never allowed Henry to reach his full potential under them, which is part of the reason why he left the company. But I don't think there was any bad blood between them when he left, and he has always been one of SM's most prized artists for the amount of talent he has.)
In 2008, when SM announced the addition of Henry and Zhoumi (two Chinese members) to Super Junior's group and the creation of Super Junior-M -- which was designed to create music in Mandarin for the Chinese music industry -- Korean fans protested. Some fans were against adding any new members to Super Junior (which already had 13 members). So the Korean fans forced SM to agree to only make Henry and Zhoumi members of Super Junior's Mandarin sub-unit (they needed more Chinese members to make the Chinese sub-unit work), and they were not allowed to be included in anything to do with the main group of Super Junior. So, when not doing activities with Super Junior-M, Henry and Zhoumi also became some of SM's first members of an active group to go solo.
Henry is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian and he can play almost any instrument. He really is a music genius. He also is a very accomplished music producer. He has wrote, composed and produced all his own solo work, as well as numerous songs for other artists and Korean- and Chinese-drama and movie OSTs (Original Soundtrack songs).
One of his most recent songs is "Radio" from his album Journey which came out in 2020. He has a Korean version, Mandarin version and an English version of "Radio." But what you really need to see is a live performance of "Radio." Not only is he a musician, but he is a true performer, so all his live performances are designed to engage and entertain the audiences, and he never performs a song the same way twice. One of Henry's last solo song releases under SM is called "Monster," which is one of my favorite songs from 2018. He has an English version of "Monster" MV, a Chinese "Monster" MV and a Korean audio only version of "Monster."
He speaks 4 languages fluently -- English, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese -- and he speaks numerous other languages moderately well. He works really hard to speak to fans in their native language so he has learned a lot of languages over the past 14+ years. Henry was the first of SM's foreign artists to be allowed to do solo projects.
He is 32 years old now and he is the youngest member of Super Junior -- he debuted when he was 18 years old. And, not only is he a musician, but he is also known as a really good dancer and for the fact that he can dance while singing and playing the violin all at the same time. He is one of the first and only musicians to combine choreography while playing the violin. In high school he was the leader of the dance club and the orchestra which is where he got the idea to combine his two passions. Henry's main dance style is popping and locking.
Last year he was even part of the Chinese dance competition show Street Dance of China season 4 where he competed with and against some of the best dancers from around the world as a team captain alongside Lay from EXO and Hangeng who was a former member of Super Junior and the leader of SJ-M (who was the very first foreign member of a Kpop group.) As a skilled music producer, Henry even created a lot of the music his team used for their dance routines on SDC4.
He is one of the top variety show guests in Korea and China. Everyone wants him on their program because they know he will bring them a lot of ratings. He spends most of his career traveling back and forth from Korea and China on almost a weekly bases because he is involved in so many different projects. And yes, he even broke into the U.S. entertainment industry in 2019 when he starred as one of the main characters in the Hollywood movie "A Dog's Journey" alongside famous American actors, such as Dennis Quaid.
Now as an independant solo artist, Henry has launched his own TH-cam Channel and he has become one of the most popular Kpop artists on TH-cam.

On this episodes of the show Henry was challenged to play multiple instruments from around the world which he had never seen or played before. You should also check out some of his live performances from the Korean TV show, Begin Again, which featured singer/songwriter Kpop artists who teamed up to form a group and they spent several weeks busking all over Europe. In Begin Again, not only does the group sing the songs live, but several of the members are also musicians so they perform the music live as well. In Begin Again you will see Suhyun from the Kpop duo AKMU perform with Henry and several other famous Kpop solo musicians and singers as part of a group called The Family Band. This group was so popular that The Family Band actually did 2 seasons of the show. And the best part is they busked on the streets all across Ireland, England, Switzerland, Portugal and Hungary, etc., so the people they performed for don't speak Korean, but they always fall in love with The Family Band's performances. And Suhyun and Henry also participated in a third season in 2020 when they traveled around Korea to perform with some of their Family Band members, as well as other well known Kpop musicians and artist. This show showcases real life busking performances with some of the best musicians and singers in the Kpop industry.

He really is an entertainment star, and on top of all that, he is also a trained chef and can cook as well as a professional. He starred in a Taiwanese movie where he played a culinary prodigy, and the producer wanted him to look as authentic as possible, so Henry spent 3 months training under a famous chef and learned a lot of amazing cooking techniques. He has participated in numerous cooking competitions and cooking based variety shows and his skill has impressed even professional cooks.

Super Junior-M is like the sub-Unit that promotes in China. They’ve been largely inactive the recent years because of the political tensions between South Korea and China. Out of all Super Junior-M members, Henry and Zhoumi are the only two not in the main group (fans protested that they be included, unfortunately). That’s why many fans call them OT 13+ 2 instead of OT15. Henry has since left SM though after his contract expired.
I think everyone else has already told you about Mark and Henry's friendship, (both in SM entertainment, both Canadian, etc.) I thought the same thing the first time I saw this video that they must be connected because they are both from Canada. I knew Henry was in SM and a sub-unit of Super Junior, but this was the first time I saw how crazy, funny, and outgoing Henry is. So I started looking into it, and found out all the info., but in these particular clips they are working together to collaborate with another singer, Parc Jae Jung (who is from Chicago) and with producer Yoon Jong Shin (who Henry keeps blasting as "old.") These clips are from a Korean show "Snowball Project" that does these kind of things with various K-pop artists. The song they made is "Lemonaid Love." If you want to laugh or are bored, look up anything with Henry Lau; you will definately laugh and won't be bored. But a friendly warning, Henry can be extreme. He is also an actor, so when he commits to a character or concept, he totally commits! LOL 😁🤩 😊 Henry is an amazing violinist and pianist. (Basically a music-genius as everyone else already said.) I'm gonna introduce you to Henry a little.
Henry Lau is a Chinese Canadian who lives in South Korea - America. He does music from early age and I'm not overreacting when I say that this man is a music genius. Literally. That's how people (not just) in Korea call him.
He plays many instruments (especially violin, piano and guitar), he is a singer, producer, composer, songwriter and dancer and does beatbox sometimes. He also acts in some movies and shows. Apart of that he is a host of some shows and he is basically everywhere in Korean TV haha. He has also his TH-cam channel and does many different cool concepts. One of them is a show where he invites artists, interviews them a bit and then they make few covers in his car or anywhere they want. Whenever he covers a song, he does the arrangement himself in his own studio, which is in his house.
There is a variety show called "Begin Again" where few artists from Korea go to different countries and they do busking. It's a really cool concept, one of my fav shows. It has 4 seasons and Henry is a main part of this show (along with other two artists) since season 2 (2018). Last season was in 2020 and they performed in Korea due to Covid. Last year they had a little reunion and did one long episode which was very nice. Since his hobby is mixing, he does mixing for his youtube covers as well as for some of the "Begin Again" performances. He also likes doing loop stations and few other of his covers from this show are made like that.
I think you will never meet a person who is more talented. He can literally make music out of anything and he is so creative (viz. Believer cover)
Apart of his talents, he is also an amazing human being. Very funny, charismatic, friend with everyone, loving and he makes everyone feel at ease. The cast members of "Begin Again" always talked about how he is the moodmaker and just like a kid who needs attention.

He wanted to do a song with marklee. And Mark here is very young its before the cherrybomb comeback. I think mark was abt to b 19 at time.
Henry was the 14th member of SuJu. I don't think Henry was even a trainee yet when Kyuhyun became the 13th member in 2006. Henry became "the mysterious violin player" in SuJu's "Don't Don" in 2007 and debuted as a member of SuJu-M in 2008. All together, including Henry and Zhoumi, Super Junior has 15 members.

For those who may not know a lot about Super Junior, here is an explanation of how the group was formed. Super Junior was originally created to be a "project group" which meant that SM Entertainment originally put the group together with members who had all different talents within the entertainment industry, as well as singing and dancing.
When the group was created they were considered the super rookies of the company, so they were given the name Super Junior '05. The original purpose of the group was for the members to get more experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry, while they also worked as singers and dancers. For example, Shindong and Eunhyuk were supposed to be training as comedians and hosts, Siwon was an actor, etc. (That is why the members of Super Junior are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry today.)
The original plan was that after about 3 to 6 months, when their company decided the members had gained enough experience, the individual members would graduate from the group and form other groups or move on to other careers within the entertainment industry, etc. and new members would be added to the group.
However, Super Junior gained a very large and vocal Korean fandom even before they debuted, and when the fans heard about SM's plan to have the members of Super Junior leave the group, the fans got together and demanded that SM allow Super Junior to stay together. With large scale protests and purchasing enough shares of SM stocks, fans became voting members of SM Entertainment's board of directors and were able to force SM to promise that Super Junior would become a permanent group. E.L.F. (Ever Lasting Friends -- SJ's fandom) are some of the most loyal and vocal of all Kpop fans.
Plus, I think one reason why fans were so upset about Super Junior '05's concept was the fact that the members of Super Junior were actually part of a larger group of trainees who the fans had watched go through an elimination process. The members who "made it" where the 5 members who originally became the members of TVXQ, and the members who formed Super Junior '05 were the "castoffs." But fans had already formed a bond with ALL the trainees, so they were upset that the other members who "didn't make it" (Super Junior members) might eventually disappear from the spotlight, etc.
When Super Junior first debuted on Nov 6, 2005, they had 12 members, but 6 months later Kyuhyun was added to the group to officially make them a 13 member group.
Then in 2008, SM created the industry's very first Mandarin Chinese sub-unit designed to bring Kpop to the Chinese market and they added 2 new members to Super Junior (Zhoumi and Henry) and Super Junior officially became a 15 member group. Henry is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian and Zhoumi is native Chinese. However, Zhoumi and Henry were only allowed to be members of Super Junior-M. So, Super Junior is a 13 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
So, technically, Super Junior was "originally" a 15 member group. However, in the same way that the Korean ELF supported Super Junior and forced SM to make them a permanent group, in 2008 when SM announced the addition of Henry and Zhoumi and the creation of Super Junior-M, Korean fans protested yet again. But this time they were against adding any new members to Super Junior. So the Korean fans forced SM, this time, to agree to only make Henry and Zhoumi members of Super Junior's Mandarin sub-unit (they needed more Chinese members to make the Chinese sub-unit work), and they were not allowed to be included in anything to do with the main group of Super Junior.
Then in 2010, Hangeng (The industry's very first non-Korean member of a Kpop group -- he is Chinese) and Kibum left the group and Super Junior became an 11 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
In 2018 Henry left SM Entertainment, but he never officially left Super Junior.
Then in 2019, KangIn officially left Super Junior, and now they have 10 members + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
However, currently they have 9 active members. Sungmin decided to take a hiatus from the group in 2017 because of Korean fans' protest over him getting married. And now after more than 5 years, even though he had his solo debut in 2019, he has still not done any activities with Super Junior.
Zhoumi renewed his contract with SM in 2018, so he was still an "active" member of Super Junior, however, because of the political issues between China and Korea, Zhoumi had not done anything with Super Junior for almost 6 years. However, Zhoumi released a new song "I'll Be There" in 2020 with SM, and more specifically, under Super Junior's label -- Label SJ -- and it features Kun and Xiaojun from WayV. And, even more exciting, is the fact that, for the first time in a long time, Zhoumi was back in Korea and he actually worked with Super Junior again. Zhoumi and Ryeowook (one of SuJu's main vocalists and a member of Super Junior-M) released a new song in 2020 called "Starry Night" and it has a Korean and Chinese version. Zhoumi is an actor, model, author, lyricist and songwriter/producer, etc. in China. If it wasn't for all the political issues he probably would have been in Korea working with Super Junior this whole time. But because he is only a member of Super Junior-M and they aren't active right now because they are unable to promote in China, Zhoumi has been doing other things with his career.
So, as you can see, depending on the time period you will see a wide fluctuation in the number of members who are included in each of their songs, MVs and activities. Because they have such a large group with such a wide range of ages, the number of members have fluctuated over the years as the members have all taken their turns serving in the military, because of injury, and controversies that have caused some members to take time off, etc.
However, most E.L.F. still consider all former members of SuJu to still be members of the group. Even if they officially left the group, we still consider them a member. Once a member, always a member.
