A little explanation as to why Jiang Cheng didn't take action: As frustrating as it is for us viewers. He didn't have the guts to say anything, cause in his mind he doesn't have the right to say anything. After the sunshot campaign, he basically rebuilt the Jiang clan from scratch. So in the eyes of these other clan leaders the Jiang clan does not have the same influence it had before. Also, even though he's already a clan leader, he has that immense respect for the other clan leaders cause they are older than him ( kinda related to how asian people are taught to respect their elders) In addition going against the other clan leaders like wei wuxian did, might cause the other clans to gang up on them like what they did with the wen clan, especially cause all of them want to take wei wuxian out. So siding with wei wuxian at that moment could endanger their entire clan.
One thing that I made me cry was the wish that he made during that lantern releasing scene that he wants to have a fight for and have a clear conscience which he did do from the start to the last❤😭
The Jin clan didn't take much active part in the war (they didn't lose money and people in it) unlike the Lans, Nies and Jiangs. They were already rich before the war and now they have an even more of an upper hand in the negotiations because of it. That's why Lans and JC are reluctant to offend Jins, because they can't afford to offend such powerful sect. And for other things.... you will see in future episodes. 😉
the other reason that the Lans can't drink alcohol aside from their clan rules is because the Lan bloodline in the novel gets drunk from only one cup of alcohol
No, he wasn't dead, lol - only his spiritual conginition was removed. Esentially, because both his body and spiritual cognition were already weak, so even while he was still alive, he seemed dead. Likewise, becuase his spiritual cognition was taken, evil spirits and resentful energy took control of his body like a vector.

weiying does hv powe but he doesn't use it unneccessarily... he just wants justice... he doesn't want innocent to get hurt... also there's no difference b/w jin clan and wen clan... both these 2 clans did everything for power... the only difference is dat wen clan did it openly nd jin clan is doing it secretely.... nd weiying knws their intentions very well dat's y he acts arrogant and all...

Wei wuxian angry and counting down from 3 is amongst my top 5 fave scenes from the drama. I needed him to open a can of whoopass on that Jin moron. I really needed more dark wuxian in the untamed overall. And yeah I personally cannot stand JC.
Yeah wen ning is dead, he became the Ghost General from nowonward, WWX is kinda like his master. Everytime wwx play chenqing, resenment is calling Ning and he acts as the weapon for wwx.

Clan Leader Jin has such a tantrum because he knows Wei Wuxian is a power he can't control. Jiang Cheng is so sensitive to criticism from growing up constantly criticized and compared to Wei Wuxian (good job parents 🙄), it makes it easy for Old Jin to prick him in the direction he wants

I understand your frustration with them not backing up Wei Wuxian. But it’s understandable in that it would mean they would basically have to go against their whole society and everything they’ve been taught their whole lives.

Wen Ning did die in the book, and yes wei wuxian was using him as a puppet that time, but the series has to change it due to censorship
