Lisbon Tram 730 last ride in Birkenhead 22 January 2024

- Today seen for the Last time in Birkenhead was Lisbon Tram 730 which is leaving for the last time, It is moving to Beamish Museum where it will go in to service. The tram what was a popular attraction at the Wirral transport museum but the big Heritage who are the new owners say it has no place in their plans. Here you see it loaded on to the low loader then leaving.
I was working today so missed this. A very sad day indeed, one really nice tram. Had plenty of runs on this. Must be heartbreaking for all the dedicated guys at Taylor street. Thanks for recording this. At least it has a new home where it will be appreciated once again by true preservationists like the great guys at the MTPS did.

@@Merseywail I was a little late. I wanted to catch it coming out but when I arrived it was already out. I wanted to be at t he last 508 the other week but could not make it. Have to make more of an effort with the final 507
