I haven't listened to maiden in a long time let alone start to relearning their stuff, but I run into phantom of the opera on Instagram and now I am sobbing at 4 in the morning listening to iron maiden... Maybe I am again in such stage in my life I need the anger and the motivation they provided me to push me one more time. Because sometimes it is simply do or die I guess. Your channel is probably all the rest of Sunday
I've found your channel recently. Thank you for all the IM videos. One suggestion: it'd be perfect if you could include the rhythm beneath the solos, on top of the screen, for us not so skillful players.
Thank you! That's a common mistake. This is a pattern Adrian used often. You can find this type of legato in Back in the Village, Gangland, Sea of Madness, and even Wasted Years. Check out the Live After Death footage at 3:14-you’ll see he's anchoring his index finger on the 10th fret: th-cam.com/video/LLj0zwCyJhA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=j7VbxRk5Mett7FhM&t=194. But feel free to play it however it feels right to you. It's music, so… just enjoy it!
Great work, love the tone. What are you using? I’ve noticed there some nuances to your playing transcriptions that are not typically seen in other tabs but actually seem more accurate and are giving me cause to try them . I’ve got a good ear and I like accuracy and detail so I really appreciate your work. I will now be consulting your channel regularly. Cheers and keep rockin 🎸🇨🇦
Thanks. I'm using BIAS FX2 most of the times. I try to dive into the details on each tutorial. I am really surprised on the small "secrets" I find each time, but it makes sense. We play some riffs or solos and, for some reason, they never sound "right". That's because we miss the "details". 🙂🙂🙂
Great Cover! I have just one question. In the main riff you play the 5 on the D string twice before switching to the G string. But when I listen to an isolated track of the song I cant hear it. Are those parts are well hidden to the song or you just spiced the riff up?
@@HaZe_5020 Ok now that's interesting. The bars you mention are Dave's part. Dave plays 7-5-7-5 but in the same time, Adrian seems to play 10-9-10-10 not 10-9-10-9 that my TAB says. You got a good ear it seems ☺☺☺
You have to lightly touch the G string where the 5th fret is and pick it. It will give you this sound, then you must use your floyd rose to do the dives (you just press it down a couple of times to do the effect).
Cover with tabs, but you can definitely follow along tho (picking direction, what is a hammer on/pull off, what's alternate picking, and so on) But I guess it depends on your level too
Great job. You nailed it, especially the solos. Keep up the excellent work and thanks for another great post!
Thanks!

Yes that's a good idea. I'll see if it can be done.
Awesome. I think Adrian's solo first section is all on the b string 15-12-0, 15-14-0. Same notes as you are playing though.

Whow, that was massive! What's the meaning of circled notes?
Circled notes are either whole notes (four beat duration) or half notes (those with a beam - two beat duration) 😎😎
Does the pattern in the Bridge really end on a D chord and not an A? For exmaple measure 68 and 72.
You're right. it's a typo error. It ends on A5 chord.

can you teach me the squearl part where the adrian plays at after "live to fly"

Lesson or cover?
Depends on your perspective. Your choice. 🙂
