- In this video, the method of using Gauss' Law for finding the charge on the inner surface and outer surface of a conducting shell that surrounds a point charge is looked at. First there is a single neutral shell around the point charge, Then in the next example there are two shells, one of which has a net charge on it.

in charged isolated insulators, the charge doesnt uniformly distribute unless the conductor is spherical tho. if its not spherical, like the ex in the beginnning of the video, dont u have to use the surface charge density equation?
You would still know the total amount, but it would not be distributed evenly
