As of today, end of May 2020, Ardern’s handling of the Pandemic has a greater than 80% approval rating.
This should come as no surprise after watching this video which took place very early in her term in office. Rather than tamp down the enthusiasm for Obama or doing the diplomatic thing of finding nice things to say about his compliment-hungry successor, she rolled out the red carpet for Obama and was (appropriately) effusive in her praise of him.
